‘I was so crazy about movies early on. I used to take enough kick out of films by watching and working on different genres. But, Okkadu Migiladu bought a sea of change in me. This script intensely made me to think about my country, my motherland and my people. My heart now goes for all the pains human beings suffer day to day. There is a leader in each of us and Okkadu Migiladu will spark the pathfinder in our inner soul to react,’ said Manoj still deeply involved into his two contrasting characters.

‘While one character is LTTE Chief Prabhakaran speaks of violence, the second I played is a contemporary student leader addresses non violence. The anarchy, injustice and severe brutality meted out to Tamilians in Sri Lanka are presented very authentically. What we have shown in the film is just 1 percent of what happened in reality because cinematic values intercepted us from going further.
As I was born and bought up in Tamil Nadu, I am aware of those circumstances in 1990s.

Though I was scared to play Prabhakaran, it’s the characterization and Ajay’s narrative helped me.
I rate Okkadu Migiladu as best film of my career. There is lot many difficulties and sacrifices went into making. I had a fracture and my director had his ribs broke while shooting a boat episode in middle of sea. 40 minutes of second half will be an emotional drama shot realistically in the sea,’ Manoj further elaborated the experience.

‘As an actor, I completely believed in vigorous writer and exceptional director Ajay Andrews Nuthakki. There are many goose bump scenes in the movie with provocative dialogues. I am still finding it hard to get out from the characterization. I am planning to take four months break to prepare for my next project, a love story to be shot from April,’ said Manoj.

Okkadu Migiladu is set for a decent release on November 10th which also has voice over from Nara Rohit.

Ace director Rajamouli is still basking in the glory of Baahubali 2 success and taking a break from all cinema-related activities. However, there is pressure on him from his followers and admirers about two things right now.

Had Rajamouli said anything about his next project, it would have sounded very good, but his silence is simply teasing cinema lovers. They want to know it from him about his next movie amidst various speculations doing rounds that he will work with Nani, Jr NTR, Mahesh Babu and Ram Charan for his next. Though he has openly announced that he’s watching PSV Garudavega on Sunday, 5 days passed already, but he hasn’t shared anything about the movie. Twitterati is worried as to why he stayed silent and pressuring him with messages to speak about it.

A director who never misses to tweet appreciations on a good film even during his busy post production days, not saying a word now is raising few questions. No one really cares about celebrities who tweet once in a blue moon, but Rajamouli’s good tweet on Garuda Vega literally boosts the morale of Jeevitha Rajasekhar couple and helps a bit in their much needed comeback.

Venkata Prasad, the manager of Prasad’s IMAX multiplex in Hyderabad, was arrested on Thursday following the complaint of a woman alleging he had sexually exploited her on the promise of marriage.

The 33-year-old woman, who also works in Prasad’s, has mentioned in her complaint that Prasad had sexually exploited her for seven years, and that he has started avoiding her when she asked him to marry her. She alleged that he was now in sexual relation with another woman.

The woman got married 10 years ago, but has been living separately from her husband for a long time. The couple had filed for divorce, and even before they could get separated legally, Prasad grew close to her, and allegedly started an affair with her on the promise of marrying her soon after she gets divorce. She claimed that he had made her pregnant twice, and on both occasions, he reportedly coerced her into aborting the fetus. She further said that he had threatened to kill her when she persistently asked him to marry her.

Acting on the complaint, the police booked a case against Prasad and took him into custody on Thursday. During the investigation, police reportedly found out that he had cheated several women in the past. The investigation is on.

He is also an actor who played the role of Prabhas’ adopted father in “Baahubali”.

Talented director Sekhar Kammula has already given clarity that he’s not picking Leader sequel at the moment but that might happen only in 2019. At the same time, Rana is also busy with numerous projects, that he will not be taking this up any sooner.

Cut to the storyline of the film, an inside story suggests that Suresh Babu wants to use the old ‘first half’ for this film. Wonder what? Actually ‘Leader’ story was initially prepared to be like, a Chief Minister rules the state and then dies at the interval, and his son then goes on to become another CM through various ways and resigns to his post in the climax. Sources who worked on this script shared that Venkatesh was supposed to be the dad and Rana was to play the son’s role.

Though the script got locked, both Suresh and Venky felt that the story wouldn’t be a perfect launch pad to Rana as Venky’s presence will turn attention to other side. Then they were said to have roped in Sekhar, who has bounced another love story to them to feature Rana and asked to develop the total second half of their political script as a new film. That’s how ‘Leader’ emerged, they say.

Now Suresh wants that chopped first half from the original script to be made as a movie with Rana in the lead, and they want it to be titled Leader 2. As Rana’s political stunts clicked big time in Nene Raju Nene Mantri, it seems like Suresh wants Kammula to make another film, for which the director is not interested.

Rajamouli-MM Keeravani, Sukumar-Devi Sri Prasad and Trivikram-Devi Sri Prasad are some of the combos that ensure hit albums, chartbuster songs and terrific re-recording work. These top directors have retained a particular music director after developing a rapport with him and also considering their successful track record. In this context, Trivikram distancing himself from DSP has raised several eye brows. Speculations are rife that it happened because of Pawan Kalyan.

Buzz in film circles say that Pawan got disappointed with DSP’s work for “Sardaar Gabbar Singh”, and that he allegedly took an offence when the top music director didn’t put the efforts to improve the tunes even after he had asked him to do so. This upset Pawan and he decided not to work with DSP in future, say reports.

In the meanwhile, Trivikram was already looking for a change as he had worked with DSP at a stretch. He wanted to rope in Anirudh for A..Aa but the young composer opted out at the eleventh hour citing some personal issues. After finalizing his new film with Pawan, Trivikram was undecided about going for Anirudh or rope in DSP who had earlier given chartbuster albums for “Jalsa” and “Attarintiki Daredi”. At this point, Pawan reportedly told Trivikram to rope in anyone other than DSP. And, Anirudh came on board.

Speculations further say that it was Pawan who persuaded Trivikram to retain Anirudh and keep DSP at bay. What’s more, Pawan allegedly rejected Trivikram’s idea of roping in DSP for their joint production venture starring Nithiin as well.

These are the wildly circulating reports at present, and they don’t seem to rest until and unless either Pawan or Trivikram joins hands with DSP in future.
