Suvarna Sundari has Poorna and Sakshi Chowdary in key roles. Jayaprada essays the character of Poorna’s daughter in the film. With the tagline – “Charitra Bhavishyathuni Ventaduthundi”, the film dabbles with past and future events, and Jayaprada’s role is said to be the one that connects the past and the future. The director compared her character with Sivagami of “Baahubali”.

Directed by debutante Surya, Suvarna Sundari is expected to release by this year end.

A whopping budget of around Rs 10 crore has reportedly been allocated for a 15-episode series. An official announcement in this regard is expected very soon.

The backstory of Sivagami, how she became the Queen of Mahishmathi kingdom will be explored in the series. Talented writer-director Deva Katta, who had penned some powerful dialogues in “Baahubali” movie, has been roped in to direct the web series. The shoot is expected to commence early next year.
