Ram Charan is keen on keeping the numbers under control since his Govindudu Andarivadele and he is heard to be returning a part of his remuneration or refusing to take the balance remuneration only to balance the over budget.

Ram Charan is behind Dhruva’s low budget and low prices for rights. Once again, Charan seems to be following the same formula of statistics for his Rangasthalam. Mythri Movies is producing Rangasthalam 1985 and Charan is heard to be controlling the budget from crossing the estimates and is cutting down his own remuneration if budget goes overboard at any instance.

Rangasthalam was earlier planned to be shot in Konaseema, but the crowd kept interrupting the shoot forcing the makers to build a set that costed more than 5 Cr. Charan reportedly cut his remuneration to unburden the producers and is heard to be asking Sukumar to cut his remuneration too. Rumors had it that Sukumar too agreed to leave thirty percent of his remuneration with producers. Ram Charan, a producer’s hero or a producer’s producer?

Naming films after catchy dialogues or songs is a particular technique that is being used by new age filmmakers to draw audience attention. Gautam Menon is the first director that comes to audience mind in this area going by his repertoire of films – Ye Maaya Chesave, Yeto Vellipoyindi Manasu, Saahasam Swasaga Saagipo etc. Another young director seems to have picked up this trend.

He is currently directing Mega family hero Allu Sirish in a sci-fi film, produced by Allu Aravind. Our sources have confirmed that the film has been titled, “Ye Nimishaniki Yemi Jaruguno”. Just like for his last film, he has once again chosen a popular song as title. The catchy title hints at a twisty and suspenseful thriller in store.

Although the movie clocked in good numbers in the weekend, it has drastically fallen from Monday. Poor promotions are also to be blamed.

On other hand, the film is facing competition with many other releases. From this week, Adhirindi is hitting the cinemas. Apart from this, two other straight films Care of Surya and Okkadi Migiladu are also releasing. So, it needs to be seen where Garuda Vega would stop at its full run.

However, it is a total different scenario in the overseas as the film has already earned profits to its distributors there given that it was sold for less price.

Many ambitious Telugu-Tamil bilinguals which aspire to have simultaneous release in both languages, are being deterred by the regional Censor Boards for unknown reasons. Siddharth’s “Gruham” is the latest victim.

Siddharth had actually planned to release “Gruham” and “Aval” (film’s Tamil version) on the same date, November 3. Failure in procuring censor certificate in time forced him to postpone the release of Telugu version by a week, and Nov 10 was announced as the new release date. With less than 48 hours for the release, Siddharth has now informed with a pained heart that “Gruham” will ‘hopefully’ hit screens next week, on Nov 17, as he couldn’t get the censor certificate yet.

“Aval” has received extremely overwhelming reviews, and the Telugu horror film lovers are waiting for the release of “Gruham” with bated breath. The delay in release could hamper the film’s chances at box office in the age of rampant piracy.

Vijay’s “Adirindhi”, the Telugu dubbed version of “Mersal” had also faced similar struggle with Censor Board officials. While the Tamil version released on 18 Oct, the Telugu version, which was expected to release on the same day, is now gearing up to hit screens three weeks later.

At a time when no main league actress was bold enough to do “The Dirty Picture”, a biopic on Silk Smitha, Vidya Balan took the boldest decision of her career and did the film. She showed no apprehensions in that ‘demanding’ film and won audience, critics and a National Film Award with her performance.

In a latest interview, the very bold and unabashed Vidya Balan said that actors need to be ‘shameless’ in order to achieve what they aspire for in film industry. “It is very important for an actor to be shameless, fearless and should have no apprehensions, besides having passion” Vidya reportedly said when asked about how an actor can succeed.

She also talked about the importance of taking tough decisions, having the ability and courage to say ‘yes’ when others say ‘no’. “There’s no one way to be successful. You have to find your own path to success. And self-confidence is the biggest qualification for success in any field,” she added.

Film Industry is one crazy place where a box office release is affected by various factors. But a star hero in one industry can’t enjoy similar fame in other neighborhood tinsel towns. And that is evident at the box office as well.

For example, take Vijay, when his “Mersal” released in Tamilnadu last month, almost a dozen films have stopped their releases and pushed to new dates. Because they can’t withstand the Vijay storm at Tamilnadu box office. And young heroes like Vishal, Siddharth, Sandeep Kishan and Karthi will not be daring to compete with him at the box office.

Cut to Tollywood now, while Adirinidi (Mersal Telugu version) is hitting cinemas tomorrow (9th), Vishal’s Detective and Siddharth’s Gruham are releasing on 10th November. Sandeep Kishan’s C/o Surya is also aiming the same date. Needless to say, these heroes won’t lock horns with a Vijay film in Kollywood, but in Tollywood, they have their own plans to compete.

However, we have to admire the fact that many Tamil heroes are very particular about the Telugu release of their film all the time. But Telugu heroes on the other side, barring a few, doesn’t show similar interest to expand the market in Kollywood. Isn’t it?
