The reunion of Nenu Sailaja combo – Kishore Tirumala, Ram & Devi Sri Prasad, has raised expectations for Vunnadhi Okate Zindagi. Living up to all the buzz surrounding, the film that released today is carrying positive talk from all corners.

The film had its premieres last night in the US and going by the premiere talk, the film has some high moments for youth. Apparently, the director has made it appeal to them by imbibing more on love, friendship. While the lead combo of Ram, Anupama are being received well, the surprise element in the film is said to be Sree Vishnu whose role is said to be getting good applause.

Also, Priyadarshi has impressed with his stint in this youthful romance. Lavanya too shines with her short and sweet role. On the whole, VOZ is a film that caters to present day youth. The feel-good factors is what makes it more engaging.

Following the traditional path of comedians turning heroes, rising comedian Shakalaka Shankar is now getting ready to test his luck as hero.

His maiden film as hero has been titled “Driver Ramudu”. Sr NTR had scored one of the biggest hits of his career with a film having the same title. In the first look poster, Shankar’s getup looks similar to that of NTR. It seems the film is a funny take on NTR’s blockbuster.

Kohli is ahead of Messi by 1 million USD earnings and the footballer is in ninth place. Ace tennis player Roger Federer is leading the list with an annual earnings of 37.2 million USD. Virat’s annual earnings are said to be 14.5 million USD.

After engulfing in numerous controversies and breaking several box office records, “Mersal” is finally getting ready to hit screens across the Telugu states on October 27 as ‘Adirindhi’.

The film’s theatrical trailer has been released, and it promises enough masala elements to satisfy the lovers of commercial cinema. Although no hint of story was given in the trailer, it was well-cut and neatly packed with attractive elements.

The terrific visuals, heroism-elevating shots, presence of three talented and gorgeous ladies – Kajal, Samantha and Nithya Menen, SJ Suryah’s villainy, and above all, Vijay’s charismatic screen presence may work in favor of the film, whose Tamil version has already proved to be a huge money spinner.

“Mersal” actually received par word of mouth but it thrived on factors such as controversies, high technicalities and big names in cast & crew. For the past few years, Vijay has been trying to create a market for himself in the Telugu states. Can Adirindhi do that for him?

Before Appatlo Okadundevadu, industry perception is that Sree Vishnu wouldn’t suit for roles other than soft-roles. He was never a choice for tough roles. But post the film’s release, he has proved that the perception is wrong. He also gave a befitting counter to all his detractors with his performance.

“I’m always open to tough roles. In fact, I love roles with negative shade much. But I was given many softer roles yet I always did something different with them. Be my role in VOZ or Mental Madhilo, you’ll feel so,” says Vishnu without revealing much initially but later unveiled a big surprise at the end of the conversation.

Giving a peep into his role in his immediate film Vunnadhi Okate Zindagi that is releasing tomorrow, Vishnu says, “I play the role of hero’s childhood friend Vasu. This is very important role in the film. Vasu is innocent and loves his friends. He doesn’t tolerate anything against his friends especially against his best friend Abhiram. The film revolves around Abhiram (Ram) and Vasu. It’s their journey in college and post-college.”

Aren’t you apprehensive before choosing a hero’s friend role? 

“No, I’m not. When I heard the story, I liked Vasu’s role very much. Even if I were offered the role of hero, I’d prefer hero’s friend role. This is very realistic, relatable. Audiences will recall their best friend, close friends while watching me on screen. I’m sure, my role makes more impact on viewers. And my role is equal to hero’s role in VOZ.”

How about experiments? 

“I’m always ready to experiment. But this is very crucial phase of my career. So, I was told to strike a fine balance between doing experiments and having some fame to success. Both can happen but that’s a rare,” explains Vishnu. Accidentally he reveals, “I’m playing a complete negative role in Veera Bhoga Vasantharaya. You’ll be shellshocked in that role. If you’re shown my picture, you wouldn’t even recognise me until you’re told that it is me. It’s a total new look. Very weird and rugged look. It’s a very interesting role thoroughly. Hopefully, that will open doors for more roles with negative shade.”

And ask him about Mental Madhilo in which he will be playing the male lead. 

“Mental Madhilo is going to be next Pelli Choopulu for sure. Already, the response for its teaser, trailer generated good buzz. I’m very confident on the film,” says Vishnu who adds before signing off that he is also ready to expand his base in Tamil provided good scripts.

Mahesh Babu’s Bharat Ane Nenu’s release date has raised the temperature in the industry as Allu Arjun’s Naa Peru Surya has already been scheduled to release the film on the same date.

As soon as the announcement from producer DVV Danayya came in that Bharat Ane Nenu would release on April 27, Allu Arjun’s team got shocked.

A source close to the unit of Naa Peru Surya expressed angst and said, “We have announced the film’s release date on the day of our film’s launch. Since it is not a festival day like Dussehra, Sankranthi or Diwali, we didn’t expect any other major film to be released on the same day.”

It is learnt that the producers of Naa Peru Surya are in no mood to change their film’s release as they had announced first. “We are releasing Naa Peru Surya on April 27. There is no change in it,” added the source.

With this, the clash of Mahesh’s BAN and Bunny’s NPS look imminent.

There are only a few heroes in South film industry who command loyal fan base, fans who wouldn’t desert them in the time of failures. Tamil star hero Ajith belongs to such category which comprises the likes of Pawan Kalyan, NTR, Mahesh Babu and a few others.

However, the current buzz in Tamil film circles is that Ajith’s fans are disappointed with his decisions. The actor has worked with director Siva at a stretch for three of his successive films – Veeram, Vedalam and Vivegam. While the first two delivered the goods despite mixed word of mouth, the last and the latest film tanked at box office. If this shock wasn’t enough for fans, Ajith is reportedly getting ready to work with Siva for his next film as well. Fans are reportedly conveying their disappointed via social media. They request Ajith to try new horizons with new directors instead of teaming up with the same director.

Another major reason for the agony of Ajith fans is the record breaking success of “Mersal” starring Vijay. Those who have at least some knowledge about Tamil film industry, might have heard of the infamous fan wars between fans of Ajith and Vijay. They always compete on all aspects, staring from Youtube views to box office collections. Ajith’s fans are said to be deeply hurt with his complacent and not-so ambitious decisions at a time when Vijay is expanding his stardom, and growing close to fill the imminent vacuum to be created by Rajini’s absence.

When a journalist asked him the reason behind his simplicity, Rajini replied that no one pays him to act in real life. The simple yet meaningful answer by the superstar met with round of applause at the media conference in Dubai where the team of “2.0” was holding an international press conference ahead of the scheduled audio launch event tomorrow, on Oct 27.

Speaking at the meet, director Shankar clarified that 2.0 is not essentially a sequel to his 2010 blockbuster “Robo”, but a completely new story set against a different backdrop with familiar characters. He also revealed that there is a global message at the core of 2.0. He added that the film will encourage 3D film making in India.

Music director AR Rahman said that “2.0” has three songs in total and that two songs will be unveiled at the audio launch event, which will be held at Burj Park. Reportedly, the team has issued 12,000 passes for this massive event.

Ram Charan is currently wrapping a song for his upcoming film Rangasthalam 1985 that is being carved by Sukumar. Post this film, what is that project our mega hero is going to pick, happens to be a big question now.

Earlier there was talk that Charan will do a film with director Boyapati Sreenu from January 2018. And now, another buzz added to that is nothing but a project with director Krish who will wrap his Hindi venture Manikarnika by then. Rumours have erupted that Ram Charan will do this film for the production house, Bhavya Creations, but sounds like it is not true.

Evidently, this production house lost huge chunks of money through their multi-starrer bonanza Samantaka Mani and then with Balayya’s 101st film Paisa Vasool. It is then publicized that Ram Charan will do the much needed Paisa Vasool for them through Krish’s movie. But that doesn’t have any iota of truth, revealed an insider.

“Actually neither Krish nor Bhavya Creations have approached Charan for any film. Currently, this producer is planning for a film with another hero. So there is no question of Charan doing a Paisa Vasool for them” says a source.

For the now, Ram Charan has committed to director Boyapati Sreenu’s next film to be produced by DVV Danayya. The film will commence its regular shooting from January 2018. Dot.

While the final theatrical status of Allu Arjun’s “DJ” is debatable considering the controversies regrading its collections, the film nonetheless proved to be a super hit on small screen and set up a new non-Baahubali record of this decade.

DJ, which had its worldwide Television premiere earlier this month, has reportedly attained a TRP rating of 21.7. This is the new non-Baahubali record TRP rating of this decade. Both Mahesh Babu’s “Srimanthudu” and Varun Tej’s “Fidaa” delivered 21+ TRP but DJ overpowered them by a whisker. NTR’s Janatha Garage is the other film that has 20+ TRP rating, 20.7

This is a huge achievement on Bunny’s part, a proof of his growing stardom and a statement that he is now a strong contender for Top 3. He is currently busy shooting for “Naa Peru Surya”.
