Star heroine Shruti Haasan is not accepting any big offers right now in film industries down south. While her last Telugu release is Katamarayudu in 2017, she’s picking only one Telugu film per year from last three years. While she is committed to wrapping any pending assignments, she is also putting on weight heavily.

Other day when she appeared at the inauguration of an apparel store, her looks seemed odd as she has put loads of fat around. In fact, Shruti losing her shape now becomes a reason for mushrooming of various rumors. Many star heroines have quit their film career suddenly after they tie the knot. Some doubt that she might have got married to her London based British boyfriend and decided to put a stop to acting.

Recently Shruti commented that she’s not worried not about film offers, as she confirms that limiting herself only to an acting career is never an option. Those statements are also giving rise to a suspicion that she might have quit films.Another weird rumor doing rounds in Film Nagar is that Shruti is pregnant with her first child like her mother who has delivered her elder-child (Shruti) first and then married the child’s dad Kamal Haasan. We have to see what Shruti will say about this.

Rana took to Twitter to unveil his look, which he will be sporting in his new film, 1945. With clean shaven face and neatly trimmed moustache, he looks as handsome as he used to look with bushy beard.

1945 is a bilingual period war drama set in the year 1945, against the backdrop of pre-independent India. Rana essays the role of a soldier in Subhash Chandra Bose’s Indian National Army (INA). The actor promised to unveil the film’s first look poster in November.

Post debacle of Hyper, Ram took a while before choosing his next. After a lot of mulling, finally he decided to collaborate with Kishore Tirumala who had given his last yet biggest success – Nenu Sailaja – in 2016.

Hyper was disappointing. So how do you deal with a failure? 

“An actor hardly has a choice. It is part and parcel of career. One has to deal with it. How many days it take to come out for an actor is what matters most.”

So, repeating a successful combo would be a safe bet? 

Ram clarifies, ” Yes, I did take a break post Hyper. I had listened to several stories but nothing interesting come my way. That’s when Kishore had come up with the script of Vunnadhi Okate Zindagi. So, it is always the script that is my top priority for finalising a film. And of course, director and his abilities do matter.”

Is Vunnadhi Okate Zindagi is going to be similar to Nenu Sailaja? 

“Success-wise, I hope so. But coming to story, it is completely different. Vunnadhi Okate Zindagi is about how life is simple, beautiful but how we all complicate it. This is simple yet profound. The film portrays three phases of Abhiram’s life. It shows his childhood, teenage (collage) and youth (after passing out of college). This will be interesting. It revolves around love, break-up and friendship.”

Talking about the roles of two heroines Anupama and Lavanya, Ram feels it was cakewalk for Lavanya to pull off as her character is close to her real-life whereas Anupama had to put more effort for her role.

Ask him about the involvement of his uncle and producer Sravanthi Ravi Kishore in choosing his scripts. “I do discuss with him and take his inputs. However, it is me who will take the final call,” says Ram.

On parting note, prod him about his future projects and as usual, he maintains, “Right now, I’m waiting for the release of VOZ. I’m listening to a few scripts. I’ll take a call only after the release of VOZ.”

Bollywood Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who has recently completed the 9th season of popular game show, ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’, said that he had damaged his vocal chords while hosting the just-concluded season.

Big B reportedly wrote in his blog that besides taking him closer to Television viewers, KBC has also taken a toll on his health. The veteran actor said that he had talked continually for the last month during the shooting of the game show, and thus damaged his vocal chords. He claimed to be suffering from severe throat pain, which is making him difficult to even swallow food. ‘I am taking the help of antibiotics and pain killers to overcome the throat pain,’ he reportedly said.

The Megastar however said that he enjoyed hosting the show despite all the physical strain. He thanked the audience and the team that worked on the show for making it a big success.

As per reports, Bachchan hosted the last few episodes of Season 9 with throat pain, which worsened towards the conclusion of the show. Of the 9 seasons of KBC, Big B has hosted 8 seasons. Despite his age, organizers couldn’t think of replacing him, such is the charisma he has created over the years as the host of KBC. His screen presence and enigmatic voice have always been the USP of the show.

Versatile actor Prakash Raj, who has been very outspoken on political and social front lately, has allegedly targeted the Uttar Pradesh govt. and the Centre over ‘Taj Mahal’ issue.

Taking to Twitter, the actor questioned, “Will this world’s wonder, Taj Mahal be a past in our future??”.

“Since you have started digging at the foundation of Taj Mahal, when do u intend to bring it down. We can at least take our children and show it one last time,” Prakash Raj wrote.

Prakash Raj’s tweet has come just days after a BJP leader in Uttar Pradesh called Taj Mahal a ‘blot’ in the history of India and said that the ‘world wonder’ was built by traitors. What’s more, the world renowned monument didn’t feature in the state govt. released official list of tourist destinations in UP.

Earlier, Prakash Raj was in news when he allegedly questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s silence over the murder of Gauri Lankesh, and threatened to return his awards.
