MBO: Raju Gari Gadhi 2 Suffers Huge Drop

Share

After a fantastic first weekend at the box office, Ohmkar’s horror comedy drama Raju Gari Gadhi 2 suffered a huge drop on Monday.

A drop in collections after a strong weekend is normal, but RGG2 suffered a steep fall, which might worry the buyers a bit. The film failed to pass the crucial Monday test with a poor ‘Monday Box Office’ show.

With a big release Raja The Great hitting the screens tomorrow, Raju Gari Gadhi 2 needs to hold in the coming days for the buyers to recover their total investment.

Thankfully, the film recovered nearly half of the buyers investment in the first weekend. It will now need another strong weekend to go near the safe zone.

However, there are two new films that are releasing in this week giving the film lovers multiple options during Diwali weekend.

Initial hype and attraction around RGG2 have died down and the film solely relies upon its content and competition to go further.

The film needs to collect Rs. 25 crore share to be considered as a hit, according to trade.

CID Case Delays Revanth Entry Into Cong?

Telangana Telugu Desam Party working president and Kodangal MLA A Revanth Reddy is eagerly looking forward to join the Congress party to take on Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao, but he seems to be afraid of the cash-for-vote case hanging on his head.

Revanth made a surprise appearance in Delhi on Monday leading to the speculations that he might meet Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi, apart from other senior Congress leaders.

It is not exactly known who he had met, but sources said he had some personal issues to be sorted out in Delhi.

He, however, told a section of media that he was still in the TDP as of now, though he was getting the offers from the Congress party.

“Though our party president N Chandrababu Naidu assured me that no decision will be taken against my wishes with regard to forging alliances in Telangana in 2019 polls, he is under pressure from some of our party seniors to join hands with the TRS,” he said.

Revanth said he had kept his options open and would take a “decision” with regard to his political future, depending on future political developments.

Apparently, the MLA is apprehensive that if quits the TDP and join the TRS right away, chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao might revive the cash-for-note case and put him in trouble.

However, it would also mean troubling Naidu. Perhaps, the Congress leadership also asked him to wait for some time till the case is settled.

Butta Sold Out For Rs 70 Cr?

Share

As expected, YSR Congress party MP from Kurnool Butta Renuka received brickbats from her party leaders for defecting to the Telugu Desam Party albeit unofficially on Tuesday.

YSRC official spokesman K Parthasarathy lashed out at Renuka for shifting her loyalties to the TDP.

“There is a talk that she was sold out to the ruling party for Rs 70 crore. And it is an open secret that TDP president and chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu is known for poaching the opposition party leaders as if they were cattle by luring them with cash, posts and contracts,” he alleged.

Parthasarathy reminded that though Renuka had no prior political experience, YSRC president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy had given her the MP ticket and got her elected to Lok Sabha from Kurnool.

“We fail to understand what she had expected from Naidu. Did she succumb to pressures or was she lured by Rs 70 crore financial package offered by Naidu?” he asked.

The YSRC leader lashed out at Naidu for engineering defections from YSRC.

“While Jagan is committed to value-based politics by admitting TDP leader Silpa Chakrapani Reddy only after the latter quit the MLC seat, Naidu shamelessly inducted four YSRC MLAs into the cabinet without asking them to resign, thereby giving a go-bye to the ethics in politics,” he added.

Deepika’s Father Is Looking For A Match For Her?

Actor Deepika Padukone said she believes romantic relationships are complicated and it is difficult to find a partner who understands one’s success and passion.

The 31-year-old actor said it is not easy for a performer to maintain their number one position in the industry.

“As far as romantic relationships are concerned, they are complicated because it is difficult to find someone, who understands your success, your passion for what you do, who understands that maybe you earn more money (than him). It (at the top) is a complicated place to be in,” Deepika said.

The actor said that with extreme success, she “overnight, (I) had wings to fly” and that is when relationships go through testing times.

“Some of my personal relationships have become stronger with time but I have seen some of my friends, who have distanced themselves from me. Some of my school friends… We have become closer than before because we all make efforts to stay in touch.

“A lot of people could not handle the success that came my way and sort of disconnected. I am not upset about it, that’s just the way life goes. People, who are closest to you and matter, understand,” she said.

Deepika was speaking at the launch of veteran actor Hema Malini’s biography “Hema Malini: Beyond the Dream Girl”.

The “Bajirao Mastani” star said stardom and sacrifice go hand-in-hand and one needs to be dedicated to achieve their goals.

“… I haven’t gone to college. I just managed to finish my 11th and 12th (standards) also because by then I had become a successful model. And while I lived in Bengaluru, I still had to go to Mumbai and Delhi a lot of times for work.

“Then I tried doing my first year of degree, (but) I couldn’t do that. I tried distance education, I couldn’t do that as well. So, I am just 12th pass and my parents had a lot of issues with it back then,” she said.

Taking a cue from Hema’s own experience of her parents putting matrimonial ads on the paper, Deepika joked, “Like Hema Malini’s dad did, my father may also be looking for a match for me.”

While Deepika may not have openly admitted to being in a relationship with Ranveer Singh, the two have often been seen cosying up at parties and heading out on a number of dinner dates around the city.

‘Nuclear war may break out any moment’

Amidst the highly volatile and mounting tension on the Korean Peninsula, a nuclear may break out at any moment, warned the country’s official representative.

Kim In Ryong, North Korea’s deputy UN ambassador reportedly told the UN General Assembly’s disarmament committee that this year North Korea completed its state nuclear force and thus became the full-fledged nuclear power which possesses the delivery means of various ranges, including the atomic bomb, H-bomb and intercontinental ballistic rockets.

He said North Korea has the right to possess nuclear weapons in self-defense as the country has been subjected to an extreme and direct nuclear threat from the US since the 1970s. Pointing out the large-scale military exercises that US conducts every year, he said US has been planning a secret operation to eliminate North Korea’s supreme leader and thus take down the country’s individuality.

He warned that the entire US mainland is within North Korea firing range and that they will bring hell to US if it dares to invade their sacred territory even an inch.

He told the disarmament committee that North Korea supports the total elimination of nuclear weapons and the denuclearization of the entire world. He blamed the United States for boycotting negotiations for the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons that was approved in July this year, and constantly threatening and blackmailing North Korea with nuclear weapons.

He added that his country will never negotiate on developing nuclear weapons until and unless the nuclear threat of the US is thoroughly eradicated.
