Lord Brahma may not be enjoying such vast popularity like the other two of the Trimurthulu, Lord Vishnu, and Lord Shiva. But still, he’s credited for the whole of creation, for breathing life into humans, the Earth, and other cosmic creations. How come this philosophy is linked to music composer Thaman now? Here goes the story.

In the recent times, we have seen films like Sharwanand’s Mahanubhavudu and other day’s release Raju Gari Gadhi 2 giving us a terrific feeling inside theatres. Even some simple scenes without much of visual brilliance gave a huge kick, thanks to Thaman’s thumping background score.

In Mahanubhavudu, the river bath episode got a stunning elevation from Thaman, while he has cast similar magic for Samantha’s sentimental scenes in the second half of Raju Gari Gadhi.

No matter how Thaman’s songs are, his background score always impresses people for the kinds of sound mixing, design and choice of musical instruments he picks up. That’s the reason they say, Thaman became a Lord Brahma and his sound-recording studio in Chennai became a Brahma Lokam which pours life into ordinary scenes.

Ever since Ram Gopal Varma has announced to make a biopic on Sr NTR with the title, ‘Lakshmi’s NTR’, there has been a perception that he was making a film from Lakshmi Parvathi’s perspective. People are clueless about how he was going to handle such a legendary person’s biopic which mired in controversy from the word go. In a recent interview, Varma has explained about what he is going to showcase in the film.

Varma said that it was impossible for anyone to showcase the life of NTR, from his childhood to becoming a superstar, from entering politics to ruling the united AP..in just two hours.

‘NTR’s life is as huge as the story of Mahabharata, and we can segregate it into different segments. I feel that there is no conflict in his life…right from a nobody to becoming the superstar of Telugu cinema and eventually the CM of united AP. His charisma is so mesmerizing that people won’t accept if we show the ‘general cinema kashtalu’ that everyone faces during the beginning of their careers. People, including me have a perception that he was a born-star, a king, a ruler etc. No one would believe and like to see him standing in front of a producer’s house for chances, such is the image he has among people.

Hence, I chose the segment, the part of his life from when Lakshmi Parvathi entered his life to his death, that is my film all about. How a person, who has lived such greatest life, ends up facing the problems a common middle class old man faces…relationship issues, losing trust in family, backstabbing etc..seems a very interesting drama. So, I chose to film only the part from when Lakshmi Parvathi entered his life to all the happenings leading to his death,’ Varma said.

The maverick filmmaker clarified that just because he titled the film, ‘Lakshmi’s Parvathi’, he isn’t making it from her point of view.

‘I haven’t even met her to know her side of the story. However, I have been meeting several people, only people who don’t gain anything from this film, who don’t have any need to exploit my film i.e. the drivers, workers who worked at NTR’s home at that time and some other neutral-minded people,’ Varma added.

Once and for all, star heroine Samantha Ruth Prabu alias Samantha Akkineni has cleared the doubts on minds of filmmakers. It is about the roles she’s likely to take up and the characters she will play on silver screen. Probably, expecting her in a glamorous avatar is no more a reality.

Sharing her thoughts about audiences receiving the Amrutha character played by her in Raju Gari Gadhi 2 movie, Samantha felt quite elated. She stated that such roles come only once in a while and this year almost all heroines got such roles. “Sai Pallavi in Fidaa, Nivetha Thomas in Ninnu Kori and Rakul in Rarandoi Veduka Chooddam got stunning roles this year. I hope my Amrutha character is also added to it” she avers.

So what sort of characters she will take up from now? “Actually I want to pick only content driven characters from now. During my initial days, I’ve done Dookudu. At that time I wouldn’t have accepted an Amrutha like character. But now I won’t take up Dookudu like roles” she says, clearing the air once for all. “I’ll do those roles that bring satisfaction to me, and pride to my family” adds Samantha.

The message is clear and loud, Samantha is not for those glamour, song and dance types of roles anymore.

Apparently, the big revelation made by star heroine Samantha during the promotional events of Raju Gari Gadhi 2 is that both Naga Chaitanya and his brother Akhil are not interested to watch the film. Courtesy, they are scared to catch up with horror movies.

For that reason, Samantha has come up with an idea to make Chay and also Akhil watch the movie. We hear that day before yesterday, a special screening of Raju Gari Gadhi 2 was arranged at Nagarjuna’s palatial residence and all the family members watched the film together in broad daylight. That way, Samantha made Chay overcome the fear of watching horror films.

It’s heard that though Chaitanya occasionally went out and busy with his phone, he has finally watched the film and got shocked with Samantha’s performance towards the end. Later he hasn’t spoken to Samantha for ten minutes, giving only a stare, as if he’s asking whether she is Samantha or Amrutha, the character she played in this Ohmkar directorial.

Even though he doesn’t like to watch horror movies, how can he miss his wife and dad on the silver screen? That’s the reason he caught it on the home screen.

The trailer and promos of Ravi Teja’s upcoming film ‘Raja The Great’ have promised that the actor will be seen at his energetic best despite playing a blind person in the film. Speaking at the pre-release event, film’s director Anil Ravipudi revealed the most energetic moment of Ravi Teja in the film.

Anil divulged that there is a bit song in the film where Ravi Teja dances to the tune of ‘Gunna Gunna Mamidi’ and that he will cast an euphoric spell on audiences with his energy and uncanny moves. He added that audience will clap, whistle and burst out with joy during that bit.

People who worked for the film reportedly say that the bit song that the director mentioned in the pre-release event will become as popular as ‘Katamarayuda’ bit from Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Attarintiki Daredi’. Ravi Teja’s energetic performance is being said as the major highlight. Â

Raja The Great is scheduled to hit screens on October 18. Starring Mehreen Pirzada as leading lady, the film is produced by Dil Raju.

Nagarjuna hasn’t surprised with the mixed reviews for Raju Gari Gadhi 2. The versatile actor, who has over three decades of acting experience, said to have rightly predicted how the film would be received by critics and audiences.

Apparently, Nag had written his own review on Raju Gari Gadhi 2 even before the film is released. In his review, he said to have found a few minus points in the film as well as some highlights. It is learnt that critics too made same opinions on the film after its release.

Now, Nagarjuna is said to be elated as his belief, judgement has been proved to be correct.

Inside talk is that Nag had tried to discuss with his team on the minus points in the film much before film’s release. However, Nag couldn’t convince the team then and he respected their belief and left the matter. But Nag is surprised when critics too felt where the film is lagging.

Yet, on the whole, audiences gave big thumbs up for the film. Despite mixed reviews, the film is doing phenomenally well at the Box Office.

Off late, reviews, critics are becoming an unavoidable topic. After two big stars like Mahesh, Jr NTR over reviews, and now Nagarjuna too indicated that he follows reviews very well, it’s no doubt that reviews are gaining more significance these days.

‘Dangal’ actress Fatima Sana Shaikh once again became the target of online trolls after she had shared a picture, which was described by herself as a ‘Shameless Selfie’. In the picture, Fatima was seen draped in a waist-low saree.

While some targeted the 25-year-old actress citing what she wore was a disrespectful clothing, others passed vile comments saying she was doing skin show in the guise of wearing a saree, which is generally considered a traditional outfit. Actually, the caption Fatima chose for the picture, ‘shameless selfie’ indicates that she was anticipating this criticism and that she wouldn’t care much.
