Before Release, Meet Allu Arjun Once
Allu Arjun is one dependable actor who is planning every film very carefully and scoring a bigger hit than previous film each time regarding revenue generation. And at the same time, many struggling directors are trying to get dates of Bunny such that they will get a huge break.
Interestingly director Harish Shankar met Allu Arjun even before the release of Subramanyam For Sale, and after that film did well post-release, he got to direct DJ Duvvada Jagannadham. And then director Bobby who managed to make an impressive debut with Power narrated a story to Allu Arjun before the release of Jai Lava Kusa itself. And then, JLK is also turning to be a hit.
And now, it became a sentiment that if any director who is in need of a hit, whose previous film was a flop, narrates a story to Allu Arjun before his present film’s release, then that movie will become a blockbuster. Both Harish and Bobby are turning to be the examples of this new sentiment. And we hear that directors of some upcoming big movies whose previous films didn’t do well are now preparing a story to Stylish Star.
Meanwhile, Allu Arjun is busy wrapping his latest film “Na Peru Surya” which marks the debut of writer Vakkantam Vamsi as a director. The shooting of the flick is currently going on in Ooty, and the unit is expected to cane some crucial sequences related to Bunny’s soldier getup here.
Mahesh About Hosting TV Shows!
Mahesh Babu has opened up about his peers such as NTR hosting TV shows like Bigg Boss. While Nagarjuna and Chiru have hosted Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu, Tarak has taken it to level by hosting Bigg Boss reality show.
When asked Mahesh about whether we see him on small screen in future, pat comes reply from him. “No, Never. I will never be part of anything on TV. I’ll continue to do my work in films.” Talking about NTR, Nag & Chiru, Mahesh said “Hats-off” to them. He expounded, “TV is never my cup of tea.”
Mahesh also reiterated that he has no political ambitions whatsoever. Even as his stint in Dookudu has political connection and his ongoing Bharath Ane Nenu has direct link to politics, Mahesh reiterated that he doesn’t understand politics.
Mahesh stated that he would continue to be an actor and do various roles, films in days to come. Mahesh cited that he would take inspiration from actors such as Amitabh Bachchan and maintain his acting career.
Mahanubhavaa.. What A Release!
Despite clashing with Mahesh Babu’s Spyder at the Box Office, the makers of Sharwanand’s Mahanubhavudu are no way compromising in its wide release. As per the inputs, producers Vamsi Kirshna and Pramod of UV Creations have planned to release Mahanubhavudu in 400-plus screens in AP & Nizam.
This is a big release. While well-known distributor, producer Dil Raju is distributing the film in Nizam and Visakhapatnam, reputed distributors Geetha Arts is distributing Mahanubhavudu in Krishna and West Godavari districts. While the film’s East Godavari distribution rights have been bagged by Anu Sri, producers UV Creations are so confident on the film that they are releasing the film on their own in Guntur district, Nellore district and Ceded (Rayalaseema).
Starring Sharwa, Mehreen in lead roles and Vennela Kishore in a throughout comedy role, director Maruthi has made Mahanubhavudu in a very entertaining way like his previous blockbuster Bhale Bhale Magadivoy.
Thanks to super positive response of the trailer, teaser and the film’s promos, the response has been great all over. Especially in overseas, the film is expected to give a stiff competition to Mahesh Babu’s Spyder for Dasara. The film also releasing in a large number of screens in Overseas.
Exclusive: Brands & Mahesh Failed To Join Hands
Promotions of Mahesh Babu’s latest movie “Spyder” have begun only this Monday while the film releases on following Wednesday (tomorrow). For a movie made with 100+ crores budget, one day of interviews for Tamil media, one day for Bollywood critics and one day for Telugu media may not be enough. So, what went wrong?
An insider revealed us that makers of Spyder are looking forward at few big brands to promote the movie. Because if brands jump in, then nearly two crores would get saved for the makers. However, when some brands came forward to do the job couple of weeks ago, there is a complete misjudgment from Spyder team about them.
As Spyder makers sought the help of those brands to promote, those brand people asked for bytes of Mahesh Babu regarding their brands such that they could co-promote each other. But Mahesh under Namrata’s influence thought that during the promotions of Brahmotsavam, brands ranging from cooking-oil to shoes-selling shop paid him huge and also promoted the film so that it would be a similar deal now. With Mahesh waiting for them to pay, and brands waiting for Mahesh to do for free, finally, both failed to join hands.
Though some long-term brand partners of Mahesh have given a space in their hoardings for Spyder, much smaller and young brands haven’t promoted the film. Some of Mahesh’s admirers however say, he didn’t promote the film aggressively through brands because too much hype is resulting in negative results as it happened during Brahmtosavam. Pchh!!
Kamal Declares to Quit Acting
Universal hero Kamal Haasan has already declared that he would take a plunge in politics and that he was planning to float his own party. Recently, he met Delhi CM and AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal at his residence in Chennai and thus conveyed how serious he was about entering politics. Rumors have been rife that his upcoming film ‘Sabash Naidu’ has been shelved by the actor in order to concentrate on his political career.
Amidst all this political hullabaloo, his millions of fans were curious to know whether he would continue in films or quit for once and all as he is known to be a very committed person. Well, the actor himself has now declared in a recent interview that quitting cinema would be very painful for him but he would do it if he takes up a position legally. He added that he would be connected to Tamil Nadu people through politics if not cinema.
Kamal Haasan is counted among not just the talented and versatile actors of this country but also a passionate actor who doesn’t bother about even box office outcomes and controversies in order to tell the story he wants. He has excelled as an actor, singer, director, choreographer and done several other hats during his five decades in films. His absence would surely leave an irreplaceable void in South cinema.
Vijay Demanding 4 Crore?
If industry grapevine is to be believed, Vijay Devarakonda, who is hot under the heels with Arjun Reddy’s blockbuster success, has hiked his remuneration. Talk is that Vijay is now charging a bomb for his future commitments that he is going to sign from now on wards.
While Vijay maintains his old fee for the films that he already signed before Arjun Reddy, he is now reportedly seeking over Rs 4 Crore as his fee for the up next films. After Arjun Reddy’s phenomenal business at the Box Office, Vijay is of opinion that he deserves better fee as he is the sole crowd puller of his films besides strong content.
Considering that actors such as Nani have reached the Rs 4 Crore-pay cheque much later in their career, Vijay achieving this feat at so early of his career is wondering many. With only two major hits Pelli Choopulu and Arjun Reddy, Vijay got good dose of stardom.
However, Vijay is now going to be costly and would be unavailable for small and medium producers with the hike in his fee. While he is currently working with Geetha Arts and UV Creations, many other major production houses are in talks with Vijay to bring him on board. Hope Vijay strikes a fine balance between both big production houses as well as small & medium producers.
NTR’s Big Mistake!
Jr NTR’s critical comments on critics during Jai Lava Kusa Jayotsavam is the talking point in industry circles right now. Tarak did go over board in making the comments. However, interesting discussion is that NTR should have entrusted the task – to speak on critics – with his brother, film’s producer Kalyan Ram.
Had angry man Kalyan Ram spoken that instead of NTR about critics, reviews, it would not have been a major topic as of today. However, NTR himself made these comments that is his big mistake.
Earlier, Kalyan Ram had burst out in front of media on several occasions. On behalf of NTR, Kalyan Rama did open up. Especially Kalyan Ram’s comments during Janatha Garage pre-release function are a classic example. Even before Jai Lava Kusa’s release, Kalyan Ram shocked many by stating that no one other than Jr NTR could pull of three roles in Jai Lava Kusa.
So far, media has been supporting NTR like never before. Be it during Temper or Nannaku Prematho or Janatha Garage and even during his latest stint in TV reality show Bigg Boss, media has supported NTR to a great extent. But his latest comments are certainly not welcoming ones.
Instead of crying after film’s release, filmmakers should rather work on the scripts and stories before lamenting critics. It goes without saying that media has always supported content-driven good films. There are many examples.
