Now, ahead of the release of Bobby’s new directorial, ‘Jai Lava Kusa’, it is rumored that NTR had directed lion’s share of the film. When NTR was asked on the same, he gave a very sensible answer.

“I heard these rumors and I must give a clarity. If I have the skill of directing a film, why wouldn’t I direct it and take the credit officially? Why hire someone else and pay him remuneration? Would anyone file a case on me and put me in jail if I take up direction?,” NTR asked in quite a sensible manner.

Disclosing his opinion on why the rumors may have surfaced in the case of ‘Jai Lava Kusa’, NTR reportedly said, ‘Discussions happen among director, producer and hero for every film. The same happened in the case of ‘Jai Lava Kusa’ too. Except giving a few suggestions to Bobby during story discussion stage, I haven’t interfered in direction at all. I am fortunate to work with directors who are adept at their work. If JLK becomes a hit, the entire credit goes to director Bobby only’.

Five films hitting the screens on a single day rarely happens and it is generally witnessed during holiday season. Ungarala Rambabu, Kathalo Rajakumari, Srivalli, Sarasudu and Veedevadu released last Friday and all the films ended up as massive debacles all over.

All these films failed to get minimum openings and have been declared as massive disasters. The makers have been left in shock as all the films failed to get even 20% occupancy during the weekend.

Sunil’s Ungarala Rambabu was expected to open up with decent openings but the movie too fell flat. Nara Rohit and Naga Shourya who impressed with Jyo Achutananda expected that Kathalo Rajakumari will open up decent across multiplexes. However the film fell short of minimum occupancy and has been declared as a flop. Other releases Srivalli, Sarasudu and Veedevadu as expected failed to make any impact.

On the whole, all the five releases last week ended up as disappointments. Tollywood audience have been waiting eagerly for NTR’s Jai Lava Kusa and Mahesh Babu’s Spyder which will hit the screens in the coming weeks.

Director Trivikram took his film starring Pawan Kalyan onto sets in April this year with the aim of releasing it for Dussehra holidays season. The festival time has come, and guess what, he is reportedly still left with a significant portion to be filmed.

It is heard that several schedules of the film had not been finished as per plan since Pawan kept taking breaks citing his political endeavors. Some foreign schedules had to be cancelled and those portions were filmed in specially erected sets in Hyderabad as Pawan was reluctant to go out of the city for longer duration.

Realizing that he could not release the film for Dussehra because of the frequent interruptions in shoot, Trivirkam changed his plans and decided to wrap up the film by at least September end, and take his next film starring Tarak onto floors in November.

As per their agreement, NTR has already finished “Jai Lava Kusa” and is ready to start their combo project in November. Trivikram however may not be ready by the said time even though he had a bound script in hand when had started the shooting of Pawan’s film.

Going by the buzz in film circles, the current situation is that Trivirkam may fail to bring the film into theatres even for Sankranthi if Pawan doesn’t cooperate.

Following Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu’s directives to take inputs from ace film director SS Rajamouli for the designs of Amaravati, Municipal Administration Minister P Narayana and the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) officials met him at his residence on Monday.

During the meeting, the Minister reportedly apprised Rajamouli of Naidu’s request of suggesting appropriate changes to the designs prepared by the London-based architecture firm, Norman Fosters so that the constructions reflect the rich cultural heritage of AP while keeping up with the latest trend.

After enquiring how he could contribute to the project, Rajamouli reportedly agreed to do whatever he can. He will fly to London along with the team of CRDA officials towards this month end to meet Norman team and finalize the designs.

The designs were submitted by Norman Fosters team to the CM during a meeting a few days ago, and he was expected to finalize them. Naidu however wasn’t entirely satisfied and asked for taking Rajamouli’s inputs and make the improvements.

There has been criticism from opposition parties and a section of people over involving Rajamouli as a consultant to the CRDA team. It is to be seen whether this visionary, who created the immaculate imaginary Mahishmati kingdom in Baahubali film, can leave his mark on the Amaravati designs and live up to the faith shown in him by the AP CM.

Other day trailer of Sharwanand’s “Mahanubhavudu” film released and impressed audiences. The way Maruthi has chosen the topic of obsessive-compulsion-disorder about a guy who loves cleanliness is fascinating. However, this movie is said to have its inspiration from another famous movie made in Malayalam.

A man obsessed with cleanliness finally gets his hands dirty and gets rid of his disorder, that’s the single-line story of Mahanubhavudu. And that is the story of another Malayalam film “North 24 Kaatham” that has featured Fahad Fazil and Telugu girl Colors Swathi in the leads. In that movie as well, the hero suffers from the same OCD and wants everything around him to be clean. However, in the second half, he’s made to go to a village for the sake of helping another man whose wife is dead and that makes him get close with dirt and dust.

It looks like the central idea of Mahanubhavadu is straight away lifted from that 2013 Malayalam release. Whether this latest film of Maruthi is a remake or freemake is not know, but in the previous times as well this director faced allegations that he lifts stories from Korean films and those written by other not-so-popular writers. Apart from the love story, if half of Mahanubhavudu is taken from North 24 Kaatham, then one may call it as an inspiration.

Moving on, we have Mahanuvbhavudu hitting cinemas on September 29th competing with other Dasara releases like Jai Lava Kusa and Spyder.

Industry grapevine has it that it will be reshot for nearly 30 days. Hence, the movie’s release has been put on hold.

Only after Dil Raju gives his nod after the final edit will the final date be announced, says a source.Sai Dharam Teja’s recent films “Thikka” and “Winner” bombed and marred his image. One such case is Powerstar Pawan Kalyan as he won’t agree with any story quickly, while those stories he will agree always surprise others.When Surya’s Ghajini was released in Tamil, Allu Arvind thought of remaking it with Pawan Kalyan though Murugadoss went to Mahesh to check his willingness to become a lead man of the Telugu version. Later, Murugadoss was said to have narrated many stories to Pawan Kalyan, but never a film got materialised. And when the director recently met him, here is what Pawan asked him to do.

“I met Pawan to narrate a story, and he stated that Kaththi is his favorite film among all the movies I made because it had delicate human emotions and touched a social issue, rather just a hero-villain fight. As that movie was made by Chiranjeevi garu as Khaidi No. 150, Pawan asked me to bring a story with similar human emotions” said Murugadoss, while sharing his thoughts at an FM station.

As NTR Jr’s upcoming film ‘Jai Lava Kusa’ is about to hit theatres across the world in two days, there is JLK mania everywhere. To cash in on the curiosity of audience who read whatever interesting stuff they can find regarding this film, some gossipmongers are generating laughable and illogical rumors.Fresh rumor about Jai Lava Kusa is that NTR dashed the hopes of Raashi Khanna who wanted to dub for the film, to the ground. When we contacted the team, they trashed this report as a silly rumor.

Raashi Khanna understands and manages to speak okayish Telugu. But, she is not yet fluent enough to dub for herself. Even if she was keen to dub, it was director Bobby and producer Kalyan Ram’s call to take a decision. They can ask her for a test and politely turn down her request citing her incoherent dubbing may spoil the output, which is very much convincing. Why would NTR involve in this?

It may be recalled that NTR didn’t interfere when Sukumar took the call of letting Rakul Preet Singh dub for her character in ‘Nannaku Prematho’. Why would he interfere in the case of Jai Lava Kusa then? In fact, NTR is someone who encourages his co-stars in bringing out the best in them.
