The new capital of Andhra Pradesh, Amaravati is gaining an all-round attention from various global companies and bosses – all thanks to the efficient administration of Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu. After attracting multi-national companies to build infrastructure for new capital, the agriculture sector in state has now invited the attention of one of the largest private foundation in the world – Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMFG).

Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, established and by former Microsoft CEO Bill Gates has formally agreed to extend their assistance to the ‘Agriculture sector’ in Andhra Pradesh State. While working on testing of soil and designing a profile on various lands in Africa, the Foundation used an advanced technology which they are likely to bring to Andhra Pradesh as well.

Once they get complete overview of their research in Africa, Melinda and Gates Foundation will initiate to offer suggestions for farmers in Andhra Pradesh.  According to reports, the research team with help of advanced technology will propose the suited seed for farmers based on the profile of various lands, eventually help in enhancing the fertility of their fields.

The foundation has reportedly come forward to work with Andhra Pradesh State Government and in this regard, a two-day event ‘AP Smart Land Holder’ has been scheduled for this month-end. Founder Bill Gates will be the chief guest for this event in Amaravati.

He always considers reading books will help improve knowledge and also paves the way for better living through a better understanding of people, society, and situations. Cut to his film shootings, Pawan always indulges in reading a book during shot-gaps and breaks. During the filming of Attarintiki Daredi many have seen him reading “Aadhunika Mahbharatam” book written by Gunturu Seshendra Sharma, whom he funded as well to get hard copies reprinted. At the time of Katamarayudu shoot, he was reading “Fortune At The Bottom Of The Pyramid” written by CK Prahlad. Also, the book “Reality Transfuring” became his favorite which helps as a powerful tool to manage reality. He is an avid repeated reader of books written by (on) Ramana Maharshi and those of English translated versions of Tamil literary works like Thirukkal.

The Janasena president is, however, finding it difficult to carry all these books to all the places he goes. Whether at his farmhouse or when he flies abroad, shuttling these books to and fro has become a tedious job. For that reason, Pawan has decided to buy a better Kindle and then started buying many kindle-editions of modern international best-selling books. A kindle is like an iPad but mostly with black and white display, and helps reading PDFs while the battery backup is for weeks and more than a 1000 books could be stored.

Currently, Pawan Kalyan has owned one, and he’s said to have purchased nearly 100 new books for his walking library. A source revealed that he is currently giving a read of Bertrand Russel’s Philosophy books that talk about western society. “History Of Western Philosophy” is the book he’s hooked to!!

The surprising choice of Sunkara Pavani by the Telugu Desam Party leadership as the new Mayor of Kakinada Municipal Corporation on Saturday triggered unrest in the party.Right from the beginning, everybody thought M Sesha Kumari, who got elected from division no. 38 would become the Mayor.Reason: it was Sesha Kumari who had borne the expenditure of several corporators in the elections, following the assurance from TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu that she would be made the Mayor.

However, Naidu ditched her at the last moment and declared the name of Sunkara Pavani, who happens to be the wife of Kakinada TDP president Sunkara Tirumala Kumar.Sources said there was a lot of negative feeling among the people towards Sesha Kumari, who had won the elections with the lowest margin of just 20 votes.

Yet, Sesha Kumari expected that she would become the Mayor. She openly attacked the party leadership for ditching her by making false promises.It was a rude shock to her and soon after Pavani’s name was announced, Sesha Kumari broke down. She said every time, the party had ditched her after taking substantial money from her in the name of party fund.“The party president has no confidence in me. But I will resign either from the party or from the corporator post. After all, I am loyal to people who elected me,” she said.

After the YSR Congress party received a serious drubbing in the by-elections to Nandyal assembly seat and Kakinada Municipal Corporation elections, party’s firebrand MLA and actress R K Roja has virtually gone silent.Except making a few comments on twitter, expressing her unflinching loyalty to YSR Congress pary president Y S Jagamohan Reddy and declaring that she would continue to sail with him till her last breath, Roja has not made any open statement in her typical aggressive style, attacking Telugu Desam Party or its president N Chandrababu Naidu or his son Lokesh.

There is a talk that Jagan himself has asked Roja to go mute, as his advisers Prashant Kishor and team reportedly told him that Roja’s campaign had had adverse effect on the party prospects in Nandyal.Especially her controversial comments against the TDP leaders including Tourism minister Akhila Priya has caused considerable negative impact on the women voters.

At the same time, Roja is said to be in the Prashant’s list of the MLAs who have been neglecting their constituencies and facing the danger of losing their seats. Apparently, Roja has been considering herself a state-level leader being close to Jagan and took her constituency easy.Following Prashant’s advice, Jagan told Roja not to become overambitious and concentrate on her Nagari constituency. So, for the last few weeks, Roja has been extensively touring the constituency, taking up their issues and trying to be with them.

She is not even to her favourite place Tirupati Press Club, where she used to address press conferences very frequently. It is better Roja maintains this style and focus on her constituency.

Telangana CM KCR has mastered the art of being at least one step ahead of his counterpart Andhra Pradesh CM Chandra Babu Naidu.It is a fact that people in Andhra have a certain craze for KCR and his language. Now, KCR has gone a step further and done his bit for safeguarding the future of Telugu as a language.A couple of days back, he announced that it will be compulsory for all students to take Telugu from class I to class XII, in both public and private schools.

While some raised concerns about linguistic minorities, Vice President Venkaiah Naidu too welcomed the move and hoped that a similar ruling would be passed by Andhra Pradesh government.This apart, the Telangana CM had also announced that ‘World Telugu Conference’ will be held between October 22 and October 28 in Hyderabad. The inaugural function of the same will be held on Vijayadasami.

In sharp contrast, the Andhra Pradesh CM turned a deaf ear to the pleas of Telugu intellectuals to take timely steps to protect the language and plight of Telugu university.Also much to the chagrin of language lovers, Chandra Babu passed orders that English must replace Telugu as the medium of instruction even in municipal schools. His callous attitude has left the ‘intellectuals’ enraged.KCR on the other hand, has also initiated the move to set up a commission to look into the right to information act. So, in all, for now, KCR seems to score over Babu.
