In a historic decision that can change the dynamics of the Telugu film industry, the Telangana government has approved the long-standing request of letting exhibitors screen 5 shows per day across all single screens in the state.

This is going to benefit producers, distributors and exhibitors recover their investment early. Piracy can also be controlled to some extent as more people can watch new films in the very first few days, thus restraining the need to rely on piracy. The immediate beneficiaries of the TS Govt’s decision are the upcoming Dasara releases, and the man with the Midas touch, Dil Raju.

It is known that Dil Raju is releasing all three noted films releasing during Dasara holiday season – Jai Lava Kusa, SPYder and Mahanubhavudu. Since he had invested relatively bigger sums for the rights, there was concern over how he can accommodate theatres and whether he and his exhibitors can recover the amount.

Now, the decision of the Telangana govt. to allow 5 shows per day has come as a boon for him. With multiplexes screening innumerable shows in the first few days and Single screens also getting permission to screen 5 shows, major part of the investment can be investment can be recovered very early. Audiences will also be happy as most would get the opportunity to watch their favorite hero’s films in the first weekend itself.

The Telangana government also approved the online ticketing system in theatres along with providing land for the construction of International standards worth Film Institute. Along with these, several proposals like mini theatres, cultural centres and housing sites for Film Federation Employees too have been approved.

Additionally, Rs 8 crores have been allotted for International Children’s Film Festival that will take place between November 8th and 14th in Hyderabad.

Tollywood’s young actor Manchu Vishnu who needs a massive hit has been busy shooting for Achari America Yatra. The actor while shooting for an action episode in Malaysia has been badly injured after which he has been strictly awarded rest for a month.

Manchu Vishnu injured his leg and shoulder after he fell down from a bike. The actor now recovered completely and is back to work. Manchu Vishnu took twitter to reveal that he is heading to London, Dublin and Los Angeles.

The next schedule will last for 30 days and the movie unit will return back to the country during the mid of October. G Nageshwar Reddy is directing this action and comedy entertainer. Brahmanandam will play a pivotal role in the film and Pragya Jaiswal is the female lead.

Actor Suriya during his recent interview happenned to talk about NEET exam and the demise of student Anitha which did not go well with Tamil Nadu BJP President Dr Tamizahisai Soundararajan. Tamizahisai revealed that Suriya is completely unware of the education system and NEET which is quite important for an upcoming doctor.

Tamizahisai even said that Suriya is earning in crores and has nothing to do with NEET. Right after Tamizahisai  made these statements, Suriya’s fans trolled the politician and posted abusive comments on social media against Tamizahisai. All India Suriya Welfare Association released a press statement in which it requested all Suriya’s fans not to make any negative comments against Tamizahisai. They also revealed that it was completely Tamizahisai’s view and Suriya will not encourage or tolerate such harsh or negative comments.

Also the fans association expressed their apologies to Tamizahisai on behalf of Suriya’s fans. The Association also reminded about Suriya’s Agaram Foundation through which he has been offering free education for thousands of poor students.

Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor, who was all excited to work with Prabhas in ‘Saaho’, was floored by the ‘Baahubali’ star on the very first day of her shooting.

Shraddha joined the sets of Saaho in Hyderabad on Tuesday. Her excitement and happiness to finally meet and share screen space with Prabhas went to the next level when he treated her with some of the lip-smacking Telugu dishes for lunch on her first day on the sets. As per a source on the set, the lunch box for Shraddha came directly from Prabhas’ house.

The lady was so impressed with the hospitality shown by Prabhas that she shared shared a click on her social media page where we can see a nice spread of some 17-18 famous food items of the Telugu states. Having been in North all her life, Shraddha has rarely tasted South food.

In fact, it was the first time she tasted most of the items sent by Prabhas. She reportedly thanked Prabhas for the yummy food. Prabhas’ gesture of trying to make her comfortable and taking care of her, floored Shraddha.

Even though Shraddha joined the sets on Tuesday, she has been staying in Hyderabad for past one week. She was practicing the Telugu dialogues with the help of a specially appointed language tutor. Since this is Shraddha’s first South film, she is vying to give her best.

Super talented writer and director V Vijayendra Prasad attended the audio launch of Vijay’s Mersel. The ace writer even penned the screenplay for the film which has been directed by Atlee. Vijayendra Prasad revealed an interesting secret during the audio launch about the film Manikarnika.

He stated that when the makers of Marnika approached him to pen the script, he felt happy but laid a condition to them. Speaking about this, he said, “Manikarnika is based on the life story of Rani Laxmibhai of Jhansi. Manikarnika was her original name and it was after her marriage she updated her name to Laxmibhai. I took my time and penned the script of Manikarnika. It was during this time Bollywood filmmakers approached me for the script and I had a condition”.

Explaining the condition, he adds, “I said that I am ready to give the script if Krish will be given the responsibility to direct the film. The makers and Kangana Ranaut watched Gautamiputra Satakarni in a special screening and offered the responsibility to Krish. This is how Manikarnika happened”.

Apart from these movies, Vijayendra Prasad is also writing screenplay for a film of AR Rahman, but more details of it are not given.
