Tollywood is getting ready for the artistic marriage of heroine Samantha and her long-time boyfriend, Naga Chaitanya on October 6th. As the wedding takes place in Goa then, gossiping is happening here in Film Nagar much in advance.

As Samantha is said to be inviting many of her pals both inside and outside the film industry, will she extend the same invitation to her former flame, hero Siddharth as well? Many do know that both Sam and Siddharth are in a relationship and contemplating marriage, though the pair never confirmed it. After the duo are spotted performing Rahu-Kethu pooja at Sri Kalahasti temple together, speculations doubled, but later they broke it seems.

But why should our star heroine extend an invite to ex-lover is the question. Some say, Nagarjuna’s family is so matured, that he will attend his elder son Chay’s marriage with second wife Amala, while Chay’s mother Lakshmi will be present with her current husband. As Samantha is entering as a ‘kodalu’ into such matured family, won’t she invite Siddharth as well for the big day of her life?

Well, inviting someone for marriage is a purely personal thing and when someone walked out of her own space forever, why would she do that? Not inviting anyone she doesn’t like is the real maturity, argue her fans. Let it be!!

A police complaint has been lodged against film producer Dil Raju aka Venkataramana Reddy on Saturday in Madhapur police station. Following complaint from one novelist Shyamala Rani and Magistrate orders, Madhapur police have booked the case. The case is booked under section IPC 120A, 415, 420 of the Copyright Act 63. Producer Dil Raju, director Dasaradh have been named in the case.

Going into details, Shyamala’s allegation is that Dil Raju’s production Mr Perfect (2011) is copied from her novel ‘Na Manasu Korindi Ninne’. She alleged that the film’s theme and several scenes are ‘copied’ from the novel.Madhapur DCP Viswa Prasad said they would look into the matter. They said that they would read the novel and watch the movie and then come to conclusion. Meanwhile, he said that they would also call Dil Raju for inquiry in the issue.

The film starring Prabhas, Kajal Aggarwal and Taapsee in the lead roles turned out to be successful in 2011. The film’s story was provided by Bobby aka KS Ravindra who turned into a director now. What is surprising is six years after the film’s release, the novelist has come forward to file the complaint.

Producer Dil Raju, director Dasaradh are yet to respond on the issue.

After suffering a series of flops, including his latest film ‘Ungarala Rambabu’, top comedian-turned-hero Sunil has decided to make his comeback as Comedian. He also divulged the same in his recent interviews. While the Telugu movie lovers were happy with his decision, the film he chose to make his comeback looks worrisome.

It may be recalled that Sunil was offered the comedian’s role in Megastar Chiranjeevi’s comeback film ‘Khaidi No.150’. He however politely turned it down then citing his busy career as hero. Ali did the role finally. Now, Sunil has chosen Megastar’s 151st film ‘Sye Raa’ to stage his comeback.

Sye Raa is of course a huge project which has stalwarts from neighboring industries, including Amitabh Bachchan playing crucial roles. However, considering that it is a historical project, there will be very limited scope for comedy. And, comedy episodes in films based on serious issues, biopics etc. often receive criticism than accolades. Another challenge for Sunil is to make his presence felt amidst such a huge star cast. Can Sunil overcome these adversities and score brownies as a comedian?

Alternatively, as it will take more than a year for Sye Raa to hit screens, Sunil in the meanwhile can act in other big commercial films that offer him huge scope to entertain audiences, and thus reduce the pressure on himself by the time Sye Raa comes. In that case, he wouldn’t have to worry about how his role would be received by audiences.

With series of flops, Sunil has finally realized that he is not making headway as lead hero. His career has become stagnant.As his latest release ‘Ungarala Rambabu’ has witnessed lukewarm response and almost nil collections, Sunil will now be taking hard decisions.

He told the media that he will now do comedy roles.“I will continue playing hero roles. At the same time, I will take up comedy characters. I have already signed Megastar Chiranjeevi’s ‘Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy’. I am doing an important character in this period drama,” he told the media.

At last, Sunil took a wise decision.

Before he turned as hero with “Andala Ramudu”, Sunil was enjoying the position of number one comedian in Tollywood.He was more popular than Brahmanandam back then. Even after turning hero, he has had some good hits. Of late, he is seeing only flops. So, he is now back to the comedian characters.

It is a known fact that the ratings of Maa TV have gone up after it was acquired by Star TV Network and changed to Star Maa.The main reason for the growing popularity of Star Maa is not because it is now a subsidiary of Star TV, but because of the hit talk for Bigg Boss reality show, which was the first major programme after the channel was acquired by Star TV.However, the status has started falling down of late, thanks to the dwindling ratings of Bigg Boss. This is the reason for the growing disgruntlement of NTR on Star Maa.

He is of the view that the ratings have been showing downtrend only because of the style of functioning of Star Maa local head.That is precisely why, NTR is said to be in second thoughts in signing the agreement for the second season of Bigg Boss Telugu version, slated for telecast in next summer.

So, what’s has gone wrong? The person who is now the local head of Star Maa does not have a media background. He is, no doubt, highly educated and talented, but all his calculations would run around revenue generation, rather than achieving higher viewership and how much fame the programme has generated.

That is why the channel head did not listen to anybody and cut down the programme duration from one-and-a-half hour to one hour. Besides, he has decided to telecast the repeat of the same episode immediately and the back-to-back repeat of it the following day.This naturally led to drastic fall in viewership and ratings. This gentleman did not heed to the suggestions of even NTR, as a result of which the actor got into second thoughts.

It is learnt NTR has decided to put forth certain conditions before signing the agreement for the second season of Bigg Boss. If it doesn’t work out, he will conveniently opt out from the show by conveying the message that he had done his best on the small screen with a good show.Otherwise, if the channel head agrees to his conditions, he would continue his show with more perfection and entertainment.

Kangana Ranaut has said having sex is fun for a man but for a woman, it’s almost criminal. She made quite a few revelations about her alleged relationships with Hrithik Roshan and Aditya Pancholi. Kangana has been known as the propagator of feminism in Bollywood.On these lines, at the Jagran Cinema Summit, she said, “I am not a man-hater. In fact, I have more male friends than female ones.”

She went on to add, “I am not sure when I became a feminist. The whole perception of inequality and of one being inferior to the other is too bizarre for me to come to terms with. I can’t understand it. Feminism is just indicative that the balance between genders is missing from the system, and it’s a sorry state to be in.”

“My journey [in the industry] is magical, but magic has its price. Lineage has been restricted within the males of the industry. There is a deep-rooted patriarchy. Showbiz is a fantasy land. It swings between extraordinary, fantastic and tragic,” Kangana said while talking about her journey in the industry.

Elaborating her point, she said, “Certain things are expected of men, but sneered upon when women do it. Consider their sexual lives for instance. Having sex is fun for a man, but for a woman, it’s almost criminal. Such is the general perception of the glamour world. Men brag about their Casanova sons, but when it comes to their daughters, she can’t be wearing a bikini. [It is okay if] 15 bikini-clad women are hovering around him and his son, but the daughter has to comply with feudal ideas.”
