We generally see films of big heroes minting money in the first weekend and then taking a nosedive on the first Monday. A similar phenomenon is happening with Bigg Boss Telugu reality show.

On the outside, it is being said that Bigg Boss is a blockbuster show on TV and that it will pave way for many more reality shows in future. Well, the show started with a bang (record TRPs) but the ratings have seen a continual downfall ever since. Last week’s rating was the lowest of all weeks’.

In an ideal case for a reality show where one contestant will emerge winner in the end, the excitement of viewers should increase as the show progresses. However, the case of Bigg Boss show is completely opposite. Even the Weekend episodes having NTR in the house, aren’t fetching decent TRPs. The viewers seem to be losing interest episode after episode in contrast to the Hindi Bigg Boss show which gains momentum week after week.

On the other hand, No.1 Yaari, the celeb talk show hosted by Rana Daggubati, has been increasing its TRP Ratings week after week. Last week’s TRP rating was almost 3 times the rating of Bigg Boss in the same period. While No.1 Yaari is coming up with fresh ideas and new celebs each week, Bigg Boss house seems to tested the patience of viewers with pretentious and boring contestants.

While the entire Tamil Nadu and political aficionados across the nation talk about superstar Rajinikanth’s entry in politics by floating his own party, the actor has so far made only vague statements in this regard. On the other hand, fellow superstar of TN, Kamal Haasan, who has been vocally proactive especially ever since the demise of former TN CM Jayalalithaa, has made the big confession of considering forming his own political party.

Kamal has in a recent interview disclosed that he was seriously thinking of floating his own party as no existing political party shares his ideology. He amusingly said that he was being speculated to join some ‘X’ party if he accidentally meets and gets photographed with any leader belonging to that party.

The 62-year-old actor said that the political system in India, more so in Tamil Nadu has failed and that he wants to bring about a change. He advised the voters to sack the elected leaders immediately if they don’t deliver. “We need better governance, and this is the only way to change the politics of India,’ he said.

Kamal said that he couldn’t promise an overnight change if he got elected. He however promises to start the process of change and clean the political mud as much as he can in his lifetime. Already Bunny proved his mettle in Malayalam, and then Prabhas also clicked well there. Treading in a similar path, now young hero Vijay Devarakonda is also testing his luck in other circuits.

According to the grapevine, Vijay wants to debut in Kannada films as he could speak the language as well. After studying for ten years at Puttaparthi Boarding school in Anantapur district, we hear that he picked up Kannada language from his friends and others around. A report coming from Sandalwood indicated that Vijay Devarakonda wants to star in a remake movie of Bichhagadu in Kannada debut. For his first film, the proven hero reportedly chose this super hit subject which already showered crores in Telugu and Tamil. As there is no provision for Vijay Antony’s Bichagadu to be dubbed in Kannada, they wanted to remake it with Vijay Devarakonda now, says a distributor in the know.

Star producer Dil Raju is called as the man with the midas touch. He has been highly successful as a producer as well as a distributor in his career. Dil Raju had a fabulous year so far after he scored blokcbusters like Shatamanam Bhavathi, Nenu Local and Fidaa.

With number of films lined up in his production, Raju even bagged the rights of three big films that will hit the screens in coming months. The ace producer acquired the Nizam rights of NTR’s Jai Lava Kusa, Mahesh Babu’s Spyder and Pawan Kalyan’s untitled film in the direction of Trivikram.

Telangana government granted permissions for screening five shows across the state as per the request of the Telugu Film Chamber. Several other requests have been approved and there are Rumours that Raju came to know about the step of Telangana government even before after which he acquired all the biggies for massive prices. Raju is said to have paid hefty amounts for Spyder and Jai Lava Kusa already which involves high risk.

With five shows screened in Telangana, Dil Raju will sure make it big with his planning as the films can rake extra amounts and bring the ace producer to safe zone even before.

Surprisingly, Balayya and Puri’s appearance in the show No.1 Yaari has got very good rating. As per the data, the show earned a TRP of 11.99. This is indeed a fabulous response.

Most directors retain some actors or aspects of their previous hit films in their new film, some out of sentiment and some for luck. It seems young director Anil Ravipudi too follows one such sentiment.

Anil Ravipudi made his directorial debut with Kalyan Ram Nandamuri’s super hit film, ‘Pataas’. Shruti Sodhi played the female lead in that film. He made her dance for a special song in his next film, ‘Supreme’. Now, the director has roped in Raashi Khanna, the female lead in ‘Supreme’ for a special song in his new film, ‘Raja The Great’.

Raashi herself announced that she would be making a special appearance in a song in ‘Raja The Great’. This is the first special song in her career, and she is quite excited. The film is slated to hit screens on 12th October.

Raashi had earlier paired up with Ravi Teja in ‘Bengal Tiger’, and she is once again romancing in his next film, ‘Touch Chesi Chudu’. ‘Raja The Great’ is her third outing with him, albeit in a special role in this film.

While Balayya’s latest film Paisa Vasool has bitten the dust, now its the turn of Jr NTR’s Jai Lava Kusa to live up to the expectations.

Right from the teaser to its songs, the constant complaint that is heard about Mahesh Babu’s Spyder among most of Telugus is that the film has “Tamil” falvour. However, here is the twist.

The makers are not worried about this at all and in fact, much confident that this would not be a major problem with the local audience. But what is worrying them instead is Tamil audience who allegedly have more regional feeling.

As already revealed, the entire story of the film is set in Hyderabad. Even Tamil and Malayalam versions has the same Hyderabad backdrop. Now, the producers are apparently little worried about this fact rather than the “Tamil’ flavour talk in Telugu areas. Although Lyca is releasing the film, the original produces seem to have entered into MG (minimum guarantee) agreement.

Even the makers have planned a massive release across the US and Rest of India. While the Telugu version will be released in over 260 locations in 600-plus screens, the Tamil version is expected to release in about 150-plus locations. This is said to be second-biggest release for an Indian film in overseas.

The situation is no different in domestic area. Since Murugudoss directed it, there is reasonably good expectation in Telugu. So on the whole, producers are keeping their fingers crossed.
