Nithiin’s Lie ends as colossal flop. After Trivikram and Samantha’s magic A..Aa, Nithiin failed miserably to pull in crowds to cinemas as his collaboration with Hanu Raghavapudi couldn’t even collect a share that is one fourth of the film’s budget and could not even rake a gross that is half of the film’s budget.

Made with a budget of Rs 40 Crore and first south film to shot in US for a stretch of 75 days, the film turned out to be huge double disaster. The total world-wide share of Lie is Rs 9.45 Crore while the total world-wide gross is estimated as Rs 17 Crore gross.

While the film managed to collect a full-run share of Rs 8.3 Crore in AP and Telangana together, the film got a meagre 42 Lakh in US, 45 Lakh in Karnataka and Rest of World another Rs 28 Lakh.

While A..Aa collected a world-wide share of Rs 47.48 Crore, the film alone collected a share of Rs 10.66 Crore in the US and 1.36 Crore in the Rest of World.

Lie’s US full-run share Rs 42 Lakh is no match to A..Aa’s US full run share of Rs 10.66 Crore, shocking even the trade pundits.

Young hero Vijay Devarakonda who scored a massive blockbuster with Arjun Reddy is preparing for his next film, which will be helmed by Parasuram. The movie will be bankrolled by Geetha Arts and it has been launched officially recently.

It has that heroine Lavanya Tripathi has been quite impressed with her character and she signed the film on spot. The actress left the movie unit in shock after she called it a quit from the project crossing the ‘Geetha Arts’ compound. But the news is that she discussed her issues with the makers after which she decided to walk out.

An inside source revealed that Lavanya had some issues that cannot be sorted, after which she decided to quit, though she loved her character and the script immensely. The makers are currently in search for the right actress who can fit into the shoes of the role. Bunny Vaas will bankroll this project and the regular shoot of the film is expected to start soon.

Meanwhile, Lavanya is waiting for the release of Naga Chaitanya’s Yuddham Saranam and she is currently shooting for Ram’s Vunnadhi Okkate Zindagi and Sai Dharamtej’s next in the direction of VV Vinayak.

Here is the latest picture of Nandamuri Mokshagna who turned a year older today. He is looking uber stylish in this latest picture and Nandamuri fans are going gaga over Mokshu’s new look.

As he is all set for his acting debut to carry forward the legacy of his father Nandamuri Balakrishna and his grandfather Nandamuri Takara Ramarao, Mokshagna has undergone rigorous training in dances, fights. Already he said to have honed his acting skills and is waiting for the perfect muhurat for his entry.

As per the insiders, Mokshagna will be launched in 2018. A top and well-known director said to have given his nod to introduce Mokshagna. He is apparently working on a story with well-known writer and once they fine tune the script, the movie will go onto the floors.

Arrangements have been made. Interestingly, both Nandamuri and Nara families are very curious on Mokshagna’s debut and taking a lot of care. Elder sister Brahmini and brother-in-law Nara Lokesh are leaving no leaf unturned to make Moskshagna’s debut a grand one. Whole family said to have impressed with Mokshu’s dances and are pretty confident that he is a star in the making.

More details would be announced once everything finalises. Looks like, 2018 belongs to Mokshu.

Even after two hit films Premam and Rarandoi Veduka Chuddam, the response from trade for Naga Chaitanya’s latest film Yuddham Sharanam is very disappointing. Apparently, the business for the film is not closed in many areas pushing producer to go for own release.

Apparently, trade is not so keen to bet on debutante filmmaker Krishna Marimuthu imported from Kollywood. Even Chaitu’s previous film Saahsam Swaasaga Saagipo – directed by Gautham Menon – got a lukewarm response at the Box Office.

However, makers seem to be confident on Chaitu and Lavanya starrer. Let us wait and see what is in store for Yuddham Sharanam that banks on family sentiment.

Already Megastar Chiranjeevi announced that “Sye Raa” is going to be his 151st film and it will be made on a lavish scale crafting as per the needs of the script. A mid-1800s look is what needed for the film and art department is making sure that they won’t miss out that point. If rumors are to be believed, Sye Raa is going on floors from mid-October, is that true?

Well, the film will take off if the script is locked and a bounded version of it is made. Because Megastar Chiranjeevi never goes to shoot with a half script and then make his writers carve out the rest. The onus of writing “Sye Raa” which is based on Uyyaalwada Narasimha Reddy’s life and times is given to Paruchuri Brothers while Sai Madhav Burra will pen dialogues. A highly placed source revealed that Chiranjeevi is yet to hear the final version of Sye Raa from Paruchuri Brothers. That means the script is not yet locked.

As there are fewer details about the life of Uyyalawada, that would help only making a documentary but nothing else. But collecting all the glory tales and hearsay about this early freedom fighter, Paruchuri Brothers cooked up a fantastic full 2-hours script. However, Chiranjeevi is said to have made some changes to the script basing on various calculations including commercial feasibility and acceptance levels of audiences. That’s the reason a final version is yet to be narrated to him, as the script took time to complete.

While director Surender Reddy who is supervising the entire script work is fully happy, Chiranjeevi will take a final call, after which Sai Madhav Burra will add a dialogue version to it. What is to be seen here is, if all goes well in next two weeks and the shoot will start from October or not.

Mass Maharaj Ravi Teja’s next movie Raja the Great is nearing completion and it has been announced for Diwali release. Anil Ravipudi is directing the film which is a special film for Ravi Teja. His son Mahadhan is making his debut as a child actor with the film.

Mahadhan will be seen essaying the role of Ravi Teja during his younger days in the film. It was Anil Ravipudi who convinced Ravi Teja for the debut of Mahadhan. Thd director took to twitter to announce the news officially that spilled out recently. He posted the pictures of Mahadhan from the film’s sets.

Ravi Teja will be seen playing a blind man in the movie and Mehreen is the female lead. Produced by Dil Raju, Raja the Great is hitting the screens on October 12th all over. The movie marks the comeback of Ravi Teja to Tollywood after two complete years.

Mega Prince Varuntej finally scored his first blockbuster with Fidaa and the actor moved on to his next project which is a romantic entertainer and is helmed by a debutant Venky Atluri. The movie has been tentatively titled Tholi Prema however an official announcement is awaited.

Tholi Prema happened to be the first big blockbuster of Pawan Kalyan in his career which released in 1998.  However Varuntej’s Tholi Prema has no similarities with the original revealed the makers.

A source from the movie unit informed that Varuntej’s film is a sensible love story which is heart touching and is all about the lead actor’s first love. Hence they felt that ‘Tholi Prema’ will be an apt title.

A massive London schedule has been planned which will commence next week and will take place there for 35 days. Rashi Khanna is the female lead and SS Thaman is the music composer.

After the worldwide success of ‘Baahubali’, Prabhas has become a national star so movie lovers may think he can do anything now. Well, as the famous line goes by, ‘with great power comes great responsibility’, the predicaments have just commenced for him. Living up to the image brought in by Baahubali is not easy, and hence Prabhas is in dire need of pan-India directors.

In order to bring pan-India appeal, makers of Saaho are running from pillar to post. They had to splurge hefty sum to sign Shraddha Kapoor to play female lead as no top league Bollywood actress generally shows interest in acting in South films. A brigade of Bollywood actors has also been roped in.

Both Prabhas and the producers haven’t had to take this much stress had they have a pan-India director on board. So, Prabhas has reportedly decided to work with directors who have nation-wide market. How many such directors are there put together in Bollywood and South?

Rumors are rife that Prabhas has held discussions with AR Murugadoss and they will collaborate in future. A project with director Shankar may also materialize. However, considering their prior commitments, it would take a few more years for Prabhas to work with these pan-India directors.

For both Saaho, and his immediate next project, a love story in Radha Krishna’s direction, Prabhas will have to carry the film on his shoulders only.
