Creating controversies through movies is one tactic and choosing controversial subjects themselves is another strategy to gain free publicity. Director Ram Gopal Varma, who always stays in hunt of controversial subjects to make films on them, is now reportedly planning to make a biopic on Baba Ram Rahim Singh, who was recently sent to 20 years in jail on Rape charges.

Buzz in Bollywood circles is that Ram Gopal Varma is currently busy in getting complete details of the Baba’s life, which is a huge mystery. Varma is said to be planning to rope in a noted Bollywood actor. He is allegedly planning to showcase both the positive and negative sides of Baba’s life. Varma is expected to make an announcement very soon.

Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh has been the head of the social group Dera Sacha Sauda since 1990. He has released several music albums and films, which typically revolve around himself and his teachings. He is usually credited in his films as actor, director, writer, lyricist, and in various other roles. He received credits in 30 separate film departments for his 2016 film MSG: The Warrior Lion Heart.

Singh has been accused of rape, murder and ordering forced castrations. On 25 August, he was convicted of rape by a special CBI court. His conviction led to widespread rioting, which left 40 people dead and over 300 injured. On 28 August, Singh was sentenced to 20 years in jail for rape, and the verdict shook both Punjab and Haryana.

Ram Rahim Singh commands huge number of followers, and it would be a risk to showcase him in bad light in the biopic. We need to see how the fearless Varma handles this biopic.

A project in the combination of crazy director Puri Jagannath and Balakrishna Nandamuri was not expected by many. However, buzz on the project started intensifying once the film’s promos started getting unveiled one by one. Balayya’s ‘Theda Singh’ character in ‘Paisa Vasool’ trailer looked to be his most badass role to date, and it has assured the film good openings.

The film’s advance booking hints at a strong opening. When the advance booking is so encouraging in cities, we can expect euphoric reception for Paisal Vasool in Balayay’s strong area i.e. B,C centres.

As per reports, Paisa Vasool has done decent business, and now it is expected to take a more than decent opening. The film’s end result will definitely depend on the content but Puri’s punch dialogues and Balayya’s crazy performance can ensure a safe sailing at box office if the film contains at least average content.

The makers of ‘Pelli Choopulu’ are back with their next film, ‘Mental Madhilo’. The theatrical trailer of the film was unveiled today and it looks a promising successor to ‘Pelli Choopulu’. Sree Vishnu and debutante Nivetha Pethuraj are playing the lead roles in the film.

The trailer starts off with Vishnu, a soft-spoken guy meeting Nivetha, a practical girl during their pelli choopulu. Their wedding gets fixed and the duo decides to spend some quality time before wedding. They take off to Goa for a vacation. What happens there and how this affects their impending wedding looks to be the crux of the story.

Sree Vishnu looks quite impressive as a double-minded guy who can’t decide on anything easily. When such person meets a practical girl, complications are bound to come, and ‘Mental Madhilo’ looks to have promisingly explored that conflict. The neatly cut trailer and the in-tune music raise curiosity on the film. Nivetha looks a talented performer besides being a charming woman.

Going by the teasers and trailers, Yuddam Sharanam has an interesting appeal, while the plot of the film appears quite known, tried and tested. With songs not creating any impact till date, the fate of the movie depends only on Krishna’s talent in narrating the story. We have to see what will this friend to Chay’s career now.
