One cheated the country’s biggest banks where people saved their money to the tune of 9000 crores. Other one might have consumed drugs with his own money and spoiled his own health. Is ‘Law’ showing the same amount of respect on both? That’s what netizens are asking now.
Drugs Scandal has not just worried Telugu cinema fans but slowly they are erupting in support of the questioned celebs. Especially the grilling of a star director like Puri Jagan who has given many hits to Telugu films and also uplifted the mood of many youths with his powerful dialogues, netizens are taking to social media to express their displeasure on the way ‘law’ is doing its work.
“You’ll do nothing to bring back Vijay Mallya who cheated banks and defaulted for 9000 crores but will make Puri Jagan’s questioning a sensational thing. If Puri Jagan did a crime, then what Vijay Mallya has done accounts to mass murders. Will there be any action on it??” a social media post read.
“Mallya got entertained himself like a playboy with the money he looted from the public. But Puri Jagan entertained public with his art and earned money honestly. Is this how we pay back to honesty?” another post of a netizen questions.
The thing here is, a crime is a crime no matter the volume of it is like. But the law should look everyone equal and should not give privilege to some biggies and take action on those who don’t have any political links and backing, is what some neutral netizens say.
With such support coming to Puri Jagan, some girls are posting, “Even if he’s doing drugs, we love him. Drugs don’t give you the talent to write dialogues and make movies”. Other celebrities are also getting similar support from netizens, though on a little lower level.
NTR Answers Critics Like A Boss
Critics have written off Tarak’s Television stint even before it started. They said that it is wrong move from Tarak to host a show like Bigg Boss at this juncture in his career. There were comments on his overenthusiastic intro episode too.
Tarak being a talented actor and fantastic orator owned the show on Saturday. His interactions with the participants were endearing. His witty digs at them had audiences in splits. NTR is making it work with his sheer magnetism and charisma.

Charmee Succumbs to Pressure
Charmee has succumbed to the mounting pressure. She has agreed to be present at the office of Special Investigation Team in the ongoing drugs case.
Being a woman, she can ask the SIT officials to come to her residence or place of her choice for questioning.
The officials had already informed this to her. But with media reporting minute to minute investigation, she informed SIT that she would rather come to the Abkari office in Nampally.
So far, the officials questioned director Puri Jagannadh, actors Tarun and Subbaraju in this case. Sources say the officials have gathered strong information against Puri and Charmee in this case.
The key suspect Calvin, the drug peddler, came to the audio function of “Jyothi Lakshmi”, a film in which she starred in the title role. Puri Jagannadh had directed it.
Puri and Charmee are said to be in a relationship.

Mubarakan is all set to release next Friday, on July 28, and it’s getting a lot of love from the industry.

By making content-rich small cinema bigger money spinners than star-studded films, the US audiences have started sending signals to Telugu filmmakers to either change the age-old scripts they have been churning out or face humiliation.
After comfortably beating Allu Arjun-Dil Raju’s ‘DJ’, Nani’s ‘Ninnu Kori’, which was made on relatively very lesser budget, has now humbled Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Katamarayudu’. With this feat, Ninnu Kori stands at fourth place at the US box office this year, only behind Baahubali 2, Khaidi No.150 and Gautamiputra Satakarni.
Pawan Kalyan and Allu Arjun are undoubtedly the biggest stats in the Telugu states but their routine films couldn’t stand before Nani’s ‘Ninnu Kori’. Even the Natural Star’s ‘Nenu Local’ fell just short of Katamarayudu and DJ. The manner in which Sekhar Kammula’s ‘Fidaa’ opened and taking the positive response into account, trade pundits expect the heart warming love story to surpass both Bunny and Pawan’s films in its lifetime, setting another example why stars and their films need to change.
Content based films like Shatamanam Bhavathi and The Ghazi Attack have also performed extremely well in the US in the first half of this year. The star director is now opting for different strategies for his next Jaya Janaki Nayaka.  Â
Interestingly, Boyapati said to have balanced both family elements as well action elements in perfect proportions in Jaya Janaki Nayaka and the two trailers say that all. While the first trailer is catering to family audiences – especially women, the second trailer has Boyapati’s trademark style, high-octane action shots, hero-elevation scenes that is aimed at youth audiences.
Now, as per insiders, US distributors have requested Boyapati & JJN team to send first trailer to attach to Cubes where they will be screened across the US along with the ongoing Fidaa and other films. Given that the first trailer is plainly simple and very connecting to US audiences, many feel that this would work well to pull crowds to theatres. Starring Bellamkonda Sreenivas, Rakul Preet Singh, Pragya Jaiswal in the lead roles, the film has a special song featuring Catherine Tresa. Apparently, Boyapati has dished out a well balanced film this time around that has good love story to appeal to youth.
