Actress Taapsee Pannu has sought an apology for her recently made controversial comments on veteran Tollywood director, K. Raghavendra Rao.

It may be recalled that speaking at an event, Taapsee allegedly made fun of Raghavendra Rao’s obsession with throwing fruits and flowers at heroines’ mid-riffs. Her comments have kicked up a storm among Telugu film lovers and film fraternity. She soon started receiving hate messages, and criticism poured in for making such derogatory comments on the director and the film industry which launched her.

Taapsee has now sought an apology from whoever that has got hurt because of her comments. ‘I didn’t intend to hurt anyone. I was just trying to make fun of myself, how I was clueless about the happenings around me in film industry etc. If hurt anyone in the process,I apologize,’ she said.

‘Raghavendra Rao garu is the reason why I am here today, and I can never forget that. It’s strange that some people have taken my comments in a way that I have insulted him, but I haven’t,’ Taapsee said.

The Delhi beauty seems to have pushed the blame on people for misunderstanding her comments. Is anyone ready to buy her excuse after watching the video of hers talking about KRR and Tollywood?

Former love birds Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif’s latest offering “Jagga Jasoos” has been drawing attention given that it is probably the couple’s last film together – since they broke up during the film’s shoot. Also the fact that the film’s auteur had previously delivered India’s official entry for Oscar Nomination and honest-to-goodness “Barfi!” (2012) with same Ranbir himself, many have been looking up to the film despite that it was long delayed.

Finally, the film has hit the screens yesterday and it opened to mixed reviews from all corners. Although the film has had its captive moments, exotic locations, Tintin-inspired adventures, impressive production values, terrific cast with pretty good performances, but what Basu forgets to offer us was – complete story.

The film is a musical, a genre that has not really been experimented in mainstream Bollywood. Basu gets full marks here for trying something ‘different’.  Ranbir and Katrina did shine in this Basu’s escapade. On the whole, the film offers a mixed feeling.

Technically, the film is sound. Ravi Varman’s cinematography gives us picturesque landscape. However, VFX could have been better. Colour in some scenes put us off. Kat turns master storyteller and it is her narration that look fresh holding her teacher act. The second-half is all about how Jagga (Ranbir) and Shruti (Katrina) find Jagga’s father who’s called Badal Bagchi. The film is one-time watchable. Watch it for Basu, Ranbir and Katrina.

Buoyed by the success of ‘Ninnu Kori’, Natural Star Nani has announced two new projects, #Nani20 and #Nani21.

#Nani21 is titled ‘Krishnarjuna Yuddham’. The actor will once again be seen playing dual roles in this film after last year’s hit film ‘Gentleman’. Merlapaka Gandhi of ‘Venkatadri Express’ and ‘Express Raja’ fame will direct it. ‘Dhruva’ fame Hip Hop Tamizha will score music.

The team looks very promising. The interesting title and the fact that Nani is essaying dual roles, make this project even more exciting to look forward to. Film will release next year.

#Nani20 is titled MCA (Middle Class Abbayi), a Dil Raju production venture. ‘Oh My Friend’ fame Sriram Venu is directing this film which is currently on floors. This is the second collaboration of Nani and Dil Raju after ‘Nenu Local’. Sai Pallavi is the leading lady, and Devi Sri Prasad is the music composer.

Samantha has recently turned several heads with her photo shoot where she was seen flaunting her curves in a bohemian style attire. While her attire looked quite novel at first glance, the designer seems to have got heavily inspired from one of the sensational looks pulled off by fashionista Sonam Kapoor at Cannes Film Festival this year.

As you can see in the pic, the attires sported by both Sonam and Samantha look quite similar. While Sonam’s dress is a combination of mustard yellow and red, Samantha’s stylist preferred to present her in all black. Sonam sported a stylish red headscarf to give a finishing touch to her glamorous look whereas Sam opted for a yellow-red headscarf. The pair of dangling earrings is another similarity.
