Ad Deals Line Up for Srikanth!
At least, three major multi national companies are in talks with young sport sensation Srikanth Kidambi. Buzz is that a major tyre company, an FMCG major and a top digital giant are in deliberation to rope in Srikanth as their brand ambassador. It’s learnt that talks are in nascent phase. His latest super success where he won two coveted titles in a span of two weeks is what propelling the top firms to line up for him. Meanwhile, several major brands are said to be queuing up to sign Srikanth.
After his Sunday victory where Srikanth became first Indian to win back-to-back Super Series titles and won even praise of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Srikanth has now become a hot property for the brands. The way he brushed aside Olympic champion Chen Long 22-20, 21-16 and clinched the Australian Open in Sydney and followed by his triumph in the Indonesian Open crown has grabbed all the attention.

Apparently set in Indo-China war, Salman Khan’s latest movie “Tubelight” has bitten the dust at box office with openings proving that the film didn’t excite audiences. Apparently, a script that’s relying on wafer thin storyline needs some stellar performance and directorial brilliance. But now it looks like the clashes between Salman and director Kabir Khan have taken a toll on the narrative. Also, Salman himself is said to have shot some scenes and edited the film too.
At the same time, Salman didn’t invite the film’s leading lady or any other big actor to promote the movie. He himself appeared at major promotional events, while he neglected 50% of the promotional plan. Salman would have felt that an Eid-weekend would help him like earlier, but that didn’t work out. Definitely, Salman Khan’s ego is what hurt his own film.
Coming to South fans, they didn’t like his comments (satires in fact) on Baahubali 2 success and that led to many deserting Tubelight on the first day. With bad talk coming out, the film’s fortunes are pushed to the worst. After collecting just 21 crores nett in India on Day 1, the film scripted its own fate.
Modi Is No Different From Trump?
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump have amazing and strong similarities including their approach towards media, judiciary and legislature, according to a Telangana BJP leader.
Modi and Trump also have very similar leadership style, said Telangana BJP spokesperson Krishna Saagar Rao in a blog post.
“Their world view, decision making approach, political interests, governance focus, global priorities & judgement on issues are extremely similar,” he said.
“Even their approach towards media, judiciary, legislature, executive and in that order is quite unique and unconventionally similar,” Rao added, without elaborating.
Rao termed Modi and Trump as unconventional global leaders. “PM Modi is a tea seller boy, who rose from rock bottom to earn respect within the party & from millions of Indians to get elected as the Prime Minister of India,” he said.
President Trump, Rao said, is a multi-billionaire businessman, who had nothing to do with politics, never been an active politician but has risen with massive popular support to be elected as US President.
“Both have almost achieved the impossible, with distinctly different backgrounds, which in the natural course wouldn’t have got them here. They are certainly unconventional leaders,” he added.
According to him, while the two are very unique people with different backgrounds, and from extremely dissimilar socio-economic strata and of course from two different continents, they do have amazing similarities.
“These strong similarities can actually drive a strong rapport and trust between the two and can certainly ensure an unusual bonhomie between the two leaders, going ahead,” Rao reckoned.
No Buzz for Minister’s Son’s Film
Even as Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao’s son Jayadev is releasing this week, there’s little buzz surrounding the film. Except grand pre-release event which saw the likes of Chiru, Mohan Babu, Raghavendra Rao, Allu Aravind gracing the do, the film failed to create any buzz.
Poor trailer has dampened the hopes on the film further. On other hand, Allu Arjun’s Duvvada Jagannadham has opened to phenomenal numbers at the Box Office and sweeping records despite mixed talk, mixed reviews.
Amidst DJ mania, will Ganta’s son Ravi Teja’s debut would be smoother and manage to get the attention that is needed? Or will it go down without any buzz. With hardly four days left for the release, really nothing is happening on the film’s front. Despite having very experienced director like Jayanth C. Paranjee and being a proven subject – the remake of Tamil superhit Sethupathi featuring Vijay Sethupathi, this kind of low buzz is certainly not expected.
Team India Sets Up a New Record
After scoring 310 runs against West Indies at second ODI match during the ongoing series, our batsmen helped team India to setup a new record in cricket world. While skipper Virat Kohli added 87 runs in off 66 balls, opener Shikar Dhawan had put 63 runs to scoreboard.

In 1996, India team breached the 300 mark for the first time against Pakistan at Sharjah. However, it’d be no wonder if we agree to the fact that India managed to post more number of 300+ runs in an ODI only after IPL kicked off in the country.
India will play its third ODI match against West Indies on 30th June.
Threat Letter to AP Minister’s Son
Triggering panic among senior TDP leaders and cabinet ministers of Andhra Pradesh, Maoists have shot a letter to media on Sunday addressing AP Minister for Roads and Building Chintakayala Ayyanna Patrudu’s son Ch. Vijay. In the letter, Maoists alleged that Chintakayala Vijay has huge amounts of share in the illegal quarry diggings in Sarugudu village of GK Mandal in Visakhapatnam district. Extending their support to Girijans in the area, Maoists told Vijay to mend his ways else threatened with dire consequences.
The letter alleged that Vijay & co is behind the illegal quarry digging in the region and even accused them of threatening the local media persons who go against them. The letter said to have come from Kailash, Maoist Party’s East Division Secretary. He demanded to immediately stop the diggings in Sarugudu and Rajapaka and threatened with severe consequences if they go ahead ignoring the ‘orders’.
This letter has now kicked up a storm in Visakhapatnam, Uttarandhra districts as this is first of its kind letter addressing to a cabinet minister’s son after Chandra Babu Naidu came back to power. Amidst severe allegations about the land scams in Visakhaptanam and Opposition parties are making a huge issue out of them and dragging Minister and CM’s son Nara Lokesh in the land scams, the latest issue of Maoists letter to Chintakayala Vijay has added more fuel to the ongoing fire.
While cops are yet to confirm whether the letter is really issued by Maoists or a ‘fake’ letter by some miscreants, AP leaders and ministers in government are tight-lipped on the issue. Also many political analysts are scrutinizing whether there is any political colour to this whole issue. The recent open war between Ganta and Ayyanna Patrudu is well-known to party leaders and public.
Meanwhile, Opposition YSR Congress is yet to react on the issue.

Rajamouli during his interaction with Rana in the No.1 Yaari show stated that he is soon going to do a movie with Mahesh Babu.
Rajamouli has committed to do a movie for producer KL Narayana. This movie will have Mahesh in the lead as per Rajamouli.
But before that Rajamouli has to do a movie for DVV Danayya. The genius filmmaker hasn’t zeroed in on the lead actor as yet.
After making visual effects loaded movies like Eega and Baahubali, the top director is now looking to do an emotional film sans VFX.
His father, veteran writer Vijayendra Prasad has been working on the script. Rajamouli will confirm the lead actor once the script is ready. Buzz has it that NTR is the frontrunner for Rajamouli’s next film.
