Popular Hindi filmmaker Karan Johar, who is known for his business acumen, looks to have come up with a plan to leverage the Baahubali craze.

It is known that the Hind version of ‘Baahubali’ first part was re-released by Karan Johar on 7th April in around 1000 screens. Given how eagerly people are waiting for the second part, getting tickets on the first few days will surely be difficult. In such case, movie lovers won’t mind coughing up more than deserved bucks to grab the tickets.

To take full advantage of this craze for Baahubali 2, Karan Johar has announced that whoever watches the re-released Baahubali in theatres, will surely be given tickets of ‘Baahubali 2’. The madness for ‘Baahubali 2’ might propel people to watch the first part once again in the hope of grabbing tickets of second part.

Apparently, Johar has not specified whether the tickets will be given on the first day? after first weekend? or after more than a week?  Without making this clear, he has announced to give away Baahubali 2 tickets on the only condition of watching first part. Isn’t this an act of preying upon people’s emotions? Isn’t this plain looting?

In its bid to curb the uncountable channels that are being created in the hope of earning easy money, popular video sharing medium YouTube has come up with strict rules.

From now on, Newly created channels will have to get a minimum of 10,000 lifetime views before they can start earning money through adverts on their channels. Once a channel hits the 10,000 views mark, YouTube will evaluate whether the particular channel is adhering to its guidelines before considering it for its Partner Program. YouTube said that the new rules will help it restrict content theft and fake channels.

“Publishers are increasingly going to spend their money on digital so they are going to be asking for more in terms of their ads appearing alongside the right content. These new guidelines will help ensure revenue only flows to creators who are playing by the rules,” said YouTube in a blog post.

Successful producer Dil Raju, whose spirits have been down ever since his wife passed away last month, said that the National Award for his film has reinforced his energy.

Speaking to media after his production venture ‘Sathamanam Bhavathi’ was bestowed upon with the ‘Best Feature Film providing Wholesome Entertainment’ award at the 64th National Film Awards, Dil Raju said that it was not just any award but an energy booster and a responsibility for him.

‘I had been trying to come out of the grief for the past one month and this award came as a blessing to revive myself. This is the first national award in my 14 years of film making journey. I will take it as a responsibility and will try to make better and better films in future,’ added Dil Raju.

Earlier, classics like Shankarabharanam and Geetanjali were recipients of the same award.

If the latest reports in film circles are anything to go by, Superstar rnMahesh Babu will share screen space with another young hero in a film torn be directed by Vamsi Paidipally.

Comedy hero Allari Naresh, who rnhas been struggling for a while to score a decent hit, has reportedly rnbeen offered a key role in Mahesh-Vamsi Paidipally project. The young rnhero has reportedly given his nod. If Naresh comes on board, it will be arn good opportunity for him and a sort of mini-multistarrer for Mahesh.

Afterrn completing the film of AR Murugadoss and Koratala Siva, Mahesh will rncommence shooting for Paidipally’s project. Most of the shoot will take rnplace in the US. Dil Raju and Ashwini Dutt will together bankroll this rnfilm. Heroine is yet to be finalized.

Meanwhile, Mahesh is still rnshooting for Murugadoss’s film. The title and first look are expected torn come out on April 14, Tamil New Year day. Film is slated for worldwide rnrelease on June 23, 2017.

Kingfisher Villa, once owned by former liquor baron Vijay Mallya has been bought over by actor-businessman Sachiin Joshi. In a dramatic turn, Sachiin bought Mallya’s Kingfisher Villa that was used as his party pad. The prime property situated in Goa’s Candolim. It had become the famous destination for the parties that the high-flying Mallya threw at the villa in his heydays.

Sachiin’s film production company Viiking Media & Entertainment said to have owned the property now. The State Bank of India-led group of lenders earlier failed to sell the bungalow and tried to auction the property in three attempts and it failed in all the three attempts. Three previous attempts to auction off the property at Rs 85.29 crore, then Rs 81 crore and finally Rs 73 crore previously failed.

While the last auction was held on March 6, it’s said that Sachiin has paid slightly more than the previous reserve price of Rs 73 Crore. SBI chairman Arundhati Bhattacharya has confirmed the sale of the Kingfisher Villa.

The ex-chairman of United Spirits Ltd, Vijay Mallya is fugitive liquor baron. He owes over Rs 9000 crore to lenders and has been declared as wilful defaulter after Kingfisher Airlines was grounded in 2012.

Actor-businessman Sachiin Joshi is reported to have brought Goa’s Kingfisher House, once owned by Vijay Mallya. After three failed attempts, a State Bank of India-led group of lenders has finally managed to sell the Kingfisher Villa.

Just a day after the 64th National Film Awards were announced, popular South director AR Murugadoss has come out in open slamming the jury. He said that the jury was partial.

“Can clearly witness the influence & partiality of people in jury, it’s biased,” said Murugadoss.

It is not clear why he targeted the jury. It has to be noted that the 11-member jury was headed by veteran filmmaker Priyadarshan.

Before Murugadoss officially rebuked the jury, a lot of discussion happened on social media especially over the Best Actor award. Akshay Kumar was adjudged the Best Actor for his performance in ‘Rustom’. It is known that Priyadarshan has directed Akshay in several films and he shares very personal bond with the actor.

Moreover, a special jury award was given to Mohanlal, who is the favorite actor of Priyadarshan. The duo have worked together in many films, including the latest ‘Kanupapa’ (Oppam in Malayalam).

All these days there is no clarity about top heroine Samantha’s upcoming Tollywood films. Especially when everyone around is busy gossiping that she’s the leading girl of Ram Charan’s latest movie, she always maintained a stoic silence.

Directed by Sukumar, this film has Ram Charan and Samantha in the leads while Devi Sri Prasad is scoring music. The film is set in a vintage village backdrop.

Couple of days ago, comedian Brahmanandam has taken the hot seat as a celebrity guest on Chiranjeevi’s Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu. During the show time, Brahmi spoke about director Jandhyala and his alcohol issues for which even Chiru nodded. And here comes the criticism now.

Late Jandhayala’s wife Annapurna shared that it’s not good on the part of Brahmi to talk about her husband’s alcohol issues. During the show, Brahmi narrated an incident where Jandhyala has asked him on stage if he’s looking drunken and so. Annapurna has not only got the channel to sent the clippings of the show to her, but also called up Brahmi to tell him that it’s not good on his part to talk about Jandhayala garu.

“I’ve called up Brahmanandam and told him that it’s not fair to talk about my husband’s alcohol issues, which is not true. The show organisers have promised to edit out that part when the show gets up on the internet. I didn’t call Chiranjeevi, but as a host, he too should avoid that talk”, Annapurna shared with a media house.
