Indian Badminton’s chief coach Pullela Gopichand is among the probables of Rajya Sabha MPs in the President’s quota. It’s learnt that both AP CM Chandrababu Naidu and Telangana CM KCR said to have recommended Gopi’s name for the list and President is said to be positive in the issue. If all goes well, Gopi would be nominated for the Upper House in a week.

Although Gopi hails from AP, he’s now resident of Telangana. Henceforth, the nod of both the CMs is mandatory. And both the CMs are said to be on the same boat in the issue.

Gopi’s contribution to the Indian Badminton is outstanding as both of his students Saina Nehwal and PV Sindhu have won Olympic medals for the country. It’s buzzed that Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar too took initiative in recommending Gopi’s name for the post.

Boxer Mary Kom, Cricketer Sachin Tendulkar were already members of Rajya Sabha in the sports category. 12 members are nominated by the President for the term of six years for their contributions to art, literature, science, and social services. Sachin and Rekha’s term would end on April 26, 2018.

Telangana and Andhra Pradesh’s Governor ESL Narasimhan is likely to be made India’s Vice-President if all goes as per the reports. Narasimhan’s name is being heard in Delhi for the position of Vice-President. With incumbent Vice-President Hamid Ansari completing his second five-year term in Aug 2017, Centre is keen on elevating ESL Narasimhan for the post.

Narasimhan’s tips during last year’s “surgical strikes” against Pakistan said to have won him appreciation from Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Also, Narasimhan’s problem-solving methods and how well he handled the both Telugu states Telangana and Andhra Pradesh that have several teething problems initially have also further enhanced his chances for the position of VP.

Narasimhan’s second-term as Governor is going to be end on May 3. So, his name is being considered strongly for the top post by the BJP. Mr Narasimhan was chief of the Intelligence Bureau before he was appointed Governor for Chhattisgarh in 2007 by the UPA government. He is the only UPA appointed Governor who has survived under NDA rule. His work and commitment said to have played a crucial role in continuing his term. Also, Narasimhan’s close association with National Security Adviser Ajit Doval may also reportedly prompting the BJP to favour his candidature for the VP. A famous Union Minister from the Telugu States said to had confirmed the same. So, the decision to make ESL Narasimhan is most likely to happen.

About ESL Narasimhan

Ekkadu Srinivasan Lakshmi Narasimhan was born in Tamil Nadu in 1945. After an initial two years schooling in Hyderabad, he completed his education from Chennai. Migrating from Physics to Political science, Shri Narasimhan is a gold medallist from the Madras Presidency College. He is also a graduate in Law from Madras Law College.

Narasimhan belongs to the 1968 batch of IPS from Andhra Pradesh cadre. He served as the First Secretary in the Embassy of India in Moscow from 1981 to 1984. He is highly respected police official.

In its bid to advance the economic and political relations with India, the UAE govt. has formulated a new law which facilitates the Indian passport holders having a valid US visa or a Green Card to be eligible to obtain a UAE visa on arrival. The visa will be valid for 14 days and it is subjected for a single renewal for another two weeks upon payment of applicable fee.

This development will be quite handy especially for tourists. According to official data, as many as 1.6 million Indian tourists visited the UAE last year. There are about 143 flights a day between the two nations, at a rate of roughly 1000 flights per week.

A deadly explosion took place inside a metro train at Russia’s Sennaya Ploshchad station, killing at least 10 people and injuring more than 20 persons.

The saddening incident has been highly condemned by President Vladimir Putin, who was in St. Petersburg to attend an event, and he’s ordered an investigation into it. Although no terror groups have claimed responsibility for this dreadful attack, Russian Prime Minister Dimtry Medvedev called it a ‘terror attack’ on his   Facebook page.

After his first rejig of the cabinet, CM Chandrababu Naidu has allocated the portfolios to the new ministers. Below is the list of ministers and their portfolios. While Home, Education, Municipal Administration, Health, Irrigation, Women Welfare have been retained with incumbent ministers, Naidu has also made a few changes like Prathipati whose ministry changed from Agriculture to Civil Supplies.

Dairy Development & Cinematography Minister of Telangana Talasani Srinivas Yadav has finally got a chance to shot back at AP CM Chandrababu Naidu who had earlier vented out his anger against Talasani for jumping into the TRS and taking up ministry against to the people’s verdict given that Talasani had won on TDP ticket. It may be recalled that Naidu had challenged Talasani to resign to his MLA seat and asked him to contest again & win before taking up ministry.

Then Naidu had been using words such as ‘Neeti’, ‘Nijayathi’ and ‘Nippu’. Now that Naidu has inducted defected YSRCP leaders into his cabinet, Talasani has given it back to Naidu. Talasani said Naidu can no longer use those words.

Retaliating Naidu’s challenge, Talasani has now asked Naidu to get the four defected YSRCP MLAs resign and win before joining the cabinet. Talasani has stated that he would resign and go for election if Naidu too get the defected YSRCP MLAs resign and contest in election.

Venkata Sujaya Krishna Ranga Rao (Bobbili), Bhuma Akhila Priya (Allagadda), N. Amarnath Reddy (Palamner) and Ch. Adinarayana Reddy (Jammalamadugu) are the four defected YSRCP MLAs who were inducted into AP cabinet.

A car used by United States president Donald Trump apparently drew immense craze and money when it has been put up for an auction recently. After Trump used his Ferrari F430 car for almost 4 years, Auction America sold it for nearly 2,70,000 at an event in Florida.

Usually, an F430 attracts an asking price between USD 1,25000 to USD 1,75,000. But, since it belongs to the most-craziest president of United States of America, a person coughed up such huge money to own it up. And, auctioneers didn’t disclose his name for some reasons.

The red-colored 2007-model Ferrari car, which is not in production currently, has been moved over to new owner with a mileage of 6000 miles on it. The automatic transmission car which has insurance by Hagerty is said to be in a good condition with optimal equipment.
