Milky beauty Tamanna, who paired alongside Naga Chaitanya in hit films ‘100% Love’ and ‘Tadakha’, will romance him for the third time.

It is known that Chaitu will do a film titled ‘Kalyanam’ in the direction of Kalyan Krishna of ‘Soggade Chinni Nayana’ fame. For this film, Samantha was first considered, but Rakul Preet’s name was heard later. As Rakul is busy with a handful of projects, she couldn’t adjust her dates, so milky beauty has been roped in.

Inside talk is that Tamannah is fixed and no other heroine’s name will be attached to this project from now on. The Chaitu-Tamanna pair has already delivered 2 hits and if they can make ‘Kalyanam’ a hit film, it will be a hat-trick for them. Kalyanam will soon go on floors.

Yesteryear popular dancer and actress Jyothi Lakshmi, who was well-known for special songs and her skimpy outfit, is no more. Jyothi Lakshmi passed away on Tuesday morning in Chennai. She has been suffering from brief illness for a while. Started her journey as a child actor, she went onto play heroine and followed by special songs. She is highly popular for her item songs, vamp roles.

Jyothi Lakshmi made her filmy debut in 1963 with Periya Idathu Penn. In 1970s, she was popular for lead roles, special songs. She had predominantly worked in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam movies. She is even known to Hindi audiences with her films Pistolwali (1972), Rani Aur Jaani (1973) and Jawab (1970). In the early 1980s her popularity gradually declined due to her sister Jayamalini’s entry into the film industry. Yet she continued her career and became popular among younger generation as well.

Director Puri Jagannadh had named his film starring Charmi after ‘Jyothi Lakshmi’. Though the film is not related to the yesteryear actress directly, it has shown her huge popularity.

Victory Venkatesh’s much anticipated film ‘Babu Bangaram’ is all set for a grand release this Friday. Venkatesh and Maruti are busily promoting this film but the film’s leading lady Nayanathara is not seen anywhere. There were many rumours about Nayan’s differences with ‘Babu Bangaram’ team and Venkatesh finally opened up on this issue.

In recent interview, he said that Nayan was perfect choice for the role. He added that, ‘She said that she would not attend the promotions at the beginning of the shoot itself.’ He also said that ‘Babu Bangaram’ team had no differences with Nayanathara and the shooting went on smoothly.

On the other hand, ‘Babu Bangaram’ will face tough competition from Sai Dharam’s ‘Thikka’ which is releasing on same day. Also, starting of Krishna Pushkaraluon the same day may affect the film’s collections.

YSR Congress Party on Monday took strong objection to union Urban Development minister M Venkaiah Naidu’s comment that special status is not a wonder drug.

Addressing the press here, party senior leader Ambati Rambabu said that Naidu telling at Vijayawada that special status is not a wonder drug and many states are aspiring for the same and hence some other solution would be worked out is nothing short of deception and treachery.

“The tune was earlier played by AP CM Chandrababu Naidu and he became silent after the awareness YSRCP President Jagan created among the masses and the overwhelming response the demand for special status has got. Naidu’s talk of some other solution does not work as there is no substitute for special status,” Rambabu said alleged the CM has given the contract for capital formation to foreign companies and is fulfilling all their terms and conditions, which include the removal of statues, temples and other places of workshop which come in the way.

Just a few days ago, it was announced ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’ will hit screens on 28th April, 2017.If one remembers correctly, film’s director SS Rajamouli had announced very long back that the epic film will have its worldwide release on April 14, 2017.
