Pebble, the company responsible for introducing the first smartwatch, has introduced two new hate-rate monitor enabled models—Pebble 2 and the Pebble Time 2—along with a 3G ultra-wearable for mobile-free exercising. The company has unveiled all three products on crowd-funding website, Kickstarter.First on the list is the 3G ultra-wearable Pebble Core; the company has worked with Spotify, letting users to load watches with Spotify playlists with 4GB of storage, eliminating the need to carry around your mobile device.

It is essentially a tiny wearable computer operating on Android 5.0 with two buttons, a microphone, and headphone jack, which clips to your keychain or shirt. It also works with Bluetooth headphones, in case you don’t like those irritating wires.The company has touted it to be the ‘the first 3G, truly connected ultra-wearable, starting at $69’. However, this offer is only applicable to early buyers and the core will retail at a price of $99. Coming to the essentialities of the Pebble Core, it can help you track locations, send out SOS alerts, syncing apps, streaming, and much more.

However, that’s not all as the device is not only for healthy exercisers but also for Hackers. The company has termed it as a ‘hackable computer on your keychain’.According to the company you can transform the Core into a ‘magic button’ for numerous functionalities. As mentioned earlier, the device comes along with GPS tracking, WiFi, Bluetooth, voice interface support, and 3G connectivity. In the Kickstarter post, the company said: “Our new Pebble smartwatches keep you connected and in control during your busy day: they serve up notifications, show your schedule, and even let you perform simple tasks with the click of a button.”The company has improved significantly on designing the new watches and have integrated new functionalities to give current smartwatch manufacturers a run for their money. Both the watches have built-in activity tracking, heart-rate monitor, updated suite of health tools, and much more.Apart from that, the watches also come along with multi-day battery life, water resistance, and e-paper displays, which facilitate better reading. Both the watches perfectly sync with iOS and Android smartphones.

Both have a black-and-white display now fused with Gorilla Glass instead of plastic. But the most important feature is a built-in heart rate monitors.With a Kickstarter price tag of just $99, the Pebble 2 is available in five colors—black, aqua, lime, flame and white. On the other hand, the heavily designed Pebble Time 2 is priced at $169 and is available in three colors—black, gold and silver. In a view to boost small business industry in India, Microsoft has introduced three new Android Apps from its Garage project- Sprightly, Connection and Kaizala.Microsoft’s Garage apps have been developed for small business, helping them solve SMB needs around digital presence, business relationships, team management, and business transactions.

Firstly, the Sprightly app has focused on creating content for the small business, which would help them to promote their products on social media like WhatsApp, Facebook and many more. The products could include catalogs, e-card, promotions or price lists.Next on the list is the Connections app, which has been designed to help users grow their business by organizing information about one’s friend, family members and work acquaintances in an organized manner via contact category, calls, notes, reminders or sms during customer’s phone call.

Last but not the least, Kaizala, is another chat application which is built to encourage clutter-free conversation.It enables task assignment, tracking and confirming availability in a team. New Delhi: Telecom regulator Trai will come out with a consultation paper on internet-based telephone service in a month.”We are brining out consultation paper soon on internet telephony. It is a matter of weeks…a month,” Telecom Regulatory Authority of India Chairman R S Sharma told PTI when asked about the regulator’s views on calls made through mobile applications.There has been a huge debate in the industry over the framework for calls being made using the internet through various mobile applications.

Recently, telecom industry body COAI has objected to application-based calling service of state-run BSNL saying it is violates present norms. The BSNL service allowing customers to make landline calls using mobile phone and vice-versa was launched by Telecom Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad in presence of telecom secretary J S Deepak on March 17.Through the app, BSNL customers travelling abroad will be able to connect their landlines through mobile and make calls without attracting heavy ISD charges.

Sharma further said the paper will explore framework for internet telephony in present context. Internet-based calls have also led to start of net neutrality debate in India when telecom major Bharti Airtel decided to charge these calls separately in December 2014 but withdrew the plan after public protest.Sharma said the regulator will separately work on net neutrality issue and start with a pre-consultation paper. “The pre-consultation paper on net neutrality will be issued within a couple of days. We are ensuring that the consultation paper is comprehensive and addresses all the issues. Hence, we are having limited or pre-consultation on net neutrality,” Sharma said.

He said net neutrality is an extremely important issue and has many dimensions and the government has also asked it for comprehensive advise. Trai recently came up with a consultation paper on providing free internet service.Sharma said the paper on free data is to explore way for starting “toll free” kind of service in data world. “There already exist toll free number for making calls on which caller from any network can make calls. Similarly, we are trying toll free kind of system for data services. We are not against free data. We are against the architecture which gives pipe (internet connection) providers to do gate keeping function,” Sharma said.
