CBN’s Star Hotel Stay Vs Jagan’s Mahals!

Move over from public issues. Political parties in Andhra Pradesh are now indulging in a personal verbal war. While YSRCP is criticising CM Chandrababu Naidu’s stay at a star hotel in Hyderabad, TDP leaders are retaliating YCP’s allegations pointing at Jagan’s Mahal in Banjara Hills.

Taking on Chandrababu’s stay at a star hotel in Hyderabad, YSRCP spokesperson Ambati Rambabu on Tuesday “Even if you pay from your own pocket, you shouldn’t stay in a five-star hotel. How you’re managed to afford the expenses at star hotel?” asks Ambati. He added that it wasn’t fair for Naidu to splurge when the state itself has deficit budget.

However, TDP leaders’ are quick to counter Ambati by pointing out at Jagan’s lavish lifestyle and the mammoth house he lives in Hyderabad which has 60 rooms spread in 42,000 sq ft whereas the whole house is built in a site spanned over 52,263 sq ft (almost 1 acre) in city’s posh location. TDP leaders further defended that their chief by saying that Naidu was a CM for twice and elected for the third time and need high-security, they asked how come Jagan Reddy who hasn’t been a state minister having giant Mahals in Hyd and Bangalore.

Well, TDP leaders certainly have a valid point to make. What say folks?

Rahul Missed Out To Romance Niharika

Mega Brother Nagababu’s doting daughter Niharika Konidela who was seen hosting few reality shows is making her silver screen debut with Oka Manasu co-starring Naga Shourya. The film written and directed by Rama Raju is said to be a pure ethnic love story between the two lead pair.

As per a reliable source, Naga Shourya and Niharika were not the original choice for the movie and some other producers were to make this movie. However, things had been changed after the top news channel TV9 had joined the production.

In fact, Rama Raju initially planned to make the movie with hero Rahul Ravindran playing male lead. The producers convinced mega family to give them a chance to introduce Niharika. After getting nod, the makers had replaced Rahul with Naga Shourya owing to some reasons. So, Rahul missed out to romance the mega daughter.Sunil Kashyap composed audio album got good response from music lovers. Interim, Oka Manasu is slated for theatrical outing on June 10th.

Baahubali Flops In International Markets

Rajamouli’s epic movie “Baahubali” emerged as the all-time biggest hit in Indian domestic market. The film also performed superbly in North America. Seeing the unprecedented craze the movie has generated in India, it was sold off to international distributors for a huge amount. But “Baahubali” has failed to perform in key international markets so far.

It was released in Germany recently and some parts of European pockets and it saw disastrous results there.Last week, the movie also received cold response from Taiwan audiences. Chinese big distribution company Estar released the movie in Taiwan to test the pulse of the audiences before releasing it in Mainland China but “Baahubali” failed to bring any substantial amount.

Rajamouli and his cousin Raj Koduri also used Cannes Film Festival market last week to promote “Baahubali 2”. Except Indian media, no international media and makers showed interest in Rajamouli’s promotion there.Still, the film is all set to be screened in Latin market this weekend. How would it perform there? Let’s wait and see.

Kajal Agarwal Gets Double Shock

Kajal Agarwal is completely down with two successive “shocks” this summer. She had pinned great hopes on Pawan Kalyan and Mahesh Babu as she felt staring opposite them would put her on top chair in movie industry.But both of them disappointed her by delivering two big duds jeopardizing her career prospects in Tollywood.

In “Sardaar Gabbar Singh”, she played the role of a princess, a great character for any heroine. It was also solo heroine role. Also it was her first pairing with Powerstar. Hence she had great hopes on the movie but it bombed like anything.Kajal Agarwal promoted “Brahmotsavam” aggressively before the release as she wanted people to forget the failure of “Sardaar”.

Although “Brahmotsavam” starred two more heroines, she got prominent character in the film and had three songs with Mahesh Babu. So she went for a kill in promotion, yet she received same result.These two movies have ruined the career of Kajal Agarwal as she is in the last stage of her career here.

Addala erased from Brahmotsavam

Superstar Mahesh Babu’s Brahmotsavam is limping at the box office. The movie is heading towards being the second biggest disaster of all time in the entire South India. The makers have removed 15 minutes of the footage from the film from second day onwards basing on the feedback from the audience. Interestingly, they have also chopped out a scene which has a little cameo of director Srikanth Addala.

Post interval, Mahesh Babu and Samantha land in Varanasi and start talking to each other in strange way. The actress is seen leans on Srikanth Addala in that scene and talking to Mahesh Babu. That scene was removed from the film. We are said that the director wanted to have it in the film but the makers have decided to remove it. Besides that, the Kolatam sequence and an entire song – “Put Your Hands Up” is also removed from the film. Nasser’s scene before the climax is also left out.

The makers of Brahmotsavam are in talks with the distributors for a possible settlement on the issue. The buyers are demanding a compensation for the heavy losses. We are said that Brahmotsavam Makers are reportedly planning to refund distributors if they failed to reach 60% recovery. No refunds if more than 60% recovered. The quantum of compensation will be decided after the movie’s run is complete.

NTR Completes 15 Years in Tollywood

Young Tiger NTR who entered Telugu film industry as a child actor, has completed 15 years today in the industry as a hero. On this day, 15 years ago, NTR made his filmy debut with Ninnu Choodalani. The movie however could not managed to succeed at the box office. But NTR staged a comeback with his next film, Student No.1 and from then there is no stopping.

At a very young age, he scored a blockbuster with Simhadri and announced the arrival of a big star. He consistently challenged big stars at the box office and amassed huge following. The actor today is one of the most popular and highest paid actors in Tollywood. Of late, the actor had slowed down a bit but he is as promising as ever.

Trade experts feel that he is just one big hit away. He recently completed 25 films and entered the 50 Crore Share club with the film, Nannaku Prematho. His next film, Janatha Garage under the direction of Koratala Siva is so promising. We wish the Young Tiger many more successful years to come in Tollywood.

India’s next PARAM supercomputer coming in 18 months

Ministry of Science and Technology Secretary Ashutosh Sharma recently said India would be getting new supercomputers as part of the government’s Rs. 4,500-crore National Supercomputing Mission. In an interview with the International Business Times, India, Sanjay Wandhekar, associate director and head of the Department of High Performance Computing at the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) said the first of the 73 new supercomputers will tentatively be ready in 18 months.

According to Wandhekar, the supercomputer will be a part of the PARAM series of supercomputers C-DAC has built, and unlike most other supercomputers the country has, this one, with a computing speed of 1 petaflop, will be designed, developed and manufactured entirely in India. A “flops,” or “floating point operations per second,” is a measure of computing power. The higher the number of flops, the faster the computer. A petaflops is equal to a quadrillion, or a thousand trillion, flops.

Adding that the computer is still in its early stages of planning and development, Wandhekar said the supercomputer would operate from a yet-to-be-decided institute. He also said the exact application of the new PARAM supercomputer is also yet to be decided.The last PARAM supercomputer to begin operations was the PARAM Kanchenjunga, built by C-DAC and inaugurated by Shriniwas Patil, governor of Sikkim. The supercomputer, stationed at NIT Sikkim’s PARAM Kanchenjunga Supercomputing Centre, is expected to be used for engineering research conducted by the faculty and students at NIT Sikkim as well as researchers across the state.

The National Supercomputing Mission was launched in March 2015 and would be implemented by the Department of Science and Technology and Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DeitY) through C-DAC and Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru.

Nayanatara Denies Producing Her Lover’s Movie

The relationship between Nayanatara and Tamil director Vignesh is still a mystery. There are reports that she got married to him secretly but they are living separately for the sake of her career. There are also news that both of them were in love but broke up recently.

While the media and industry observers are speculating about her relationship status new rumors have floated around that she is turning producer. The rumors said she will be producing Vignesh’s new movie.
