Remember the popular dance number of Chiranjeevi in Kodama Simham – “Japam, Japam, Japam, Konga Japam; Tapam, Tapam, Tapam, Donga Tapam…” ?Well, it’s long time one has heard of this song; but former Congress minister and presently Telugu Desam Party leader Anam Vivekananda Reddy not only remembers it, but can croon it well.
On Monday, Anam recalled this song while attacking YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy for launching three-day Jala Deeksha in Kurnool in protest against construction of illegal projects on Krishna river by the Telangana government.“Jagan’s deeksha reminds us of Chiranjeevi song. He has taken up deeksha to give up his fat and is trying to fool the people. They won’t believe you. Stop this drama, Mr Jagan. Your game is over (khel khatam),” Anam said.
Anam is known for his histrionics and dramas to get into news. In the past, too, he used to do a lot of theatrics to attack Chandrababu Naidu. Now, he is doing the same to attack Jagan.

Brahmotsavam Censor Report
The Regional Censor Board in Hyderabad had completed the Censor proceedings of Superstar Mahesh Babu’s Brahmotsavam a little while ago. The movie was given clean U certificate with absolutely no cuts. The makers are now busy readying the Overseas prints and ship them to make sure all the Overseas Premieres are planned as per schedule.
The movie is already seeing some sensational pre-release business. The makers have planned an aggressive promotional campaign for the film before and after the release. Brahmotsavam will have the advantage of no competition at the box office. Sarainodu, 24 and Supreme will be losing their steam by then and the next release, Nithin and Trivikram’s A..Aa will only arrive two weeks later.
Samantha, Pranitha and Kajal Aggarwal are romancing Mahesh Babu in this film which is a family entertainer. Potluri Vara Prasad is producing the film on his PVP Cinemas Banner. Mickey J. Meyer is the music composer. Mahesh Babu is so excited with the film and even declared that he is lucky to do such a film.
Extra Show To Favor Brahmotsavam!
Superstar Mahesh Babu’s Brahmotsavam is all set for massive release on May 20th. It is a known fact that, police are not giving permission for benefit shows in Hyderabad and few other areas.So, the Nizam distributors of Brahmotsavam – Abhishek Pictures have come up with a great plan. The Srikanth Addala directorial will have five shows on its opening day in Hyderabad and other centers in Telangana. The very first show starts at 8:10 AM.
As we reported earlier, the Telangana government is toying with the idea of adding fifth show across all the theatres in the state to bring cheer to small-budget filmmakers. However, Abhishek Pictures got permission from the government to screen one extra show on the release day. So, collecting Rs 5 to 6 cr shares is not a big task for Brahmotsavam on its opening day in Nizam alone.
Mahesh Babu has good craze in Nizam area. His last movie Srimanthudu did remarkable business in the zone by raking Rs 22 crores at the end of box office. Hence, the new movie Brahmotsavam with extra show in all the areas across Nizam is expected to cross the figure.
