Not many are aware that director Vikram Kumar had directed a Tamil film called Alai with Simbhu and Trisha. Made in 2003, the film which is a romantic drama turned out to be a failure. Now reminiscing about it in a latest interview, Vikram opened up that Alai was very bad film he had directed with poor screenplay penned by himself. However, Vikram said he learnt a lot from Alai and admitted that how a film shouldn’t be made.

Vikram first started his career in Telugu with Ishtam which marked the launch of heroine Shriya Saran. With the film biting the dust at the BO, he moved into Tamil and made Alai, 13 B with Madhavan. It’s 13 B, a psychological horror, overturned Vikram’s fortunes. Vikram subsequently returned to Tollywood with Ishq. The film was a super hit and gave a breather to then flop star Nithiin.

After this, Vikram made a feel-good family drama revolving around rebirth, fate and destiny. Beautifully shot and tautly narrated, Manam went onto be biggest hits of the year receiving accolades. After his successful stint in Telugu, Vikram is back to Tamil and joined forces with Suriya. Though shot in Tamil, the film is being dubbed into Telugu and is releasing simultaneously on May 6.

Vikram says he’s regretting not teaming up with an actor like Suriya all these days and he’s now content to collaborate with him. Let’s see how far Vikram did justice to 24.

The Regional Censor Board in Hyderabad had completed the Censor formalities of Supreme Hero Sai Dharam Tej’s next, Supreme, the other day. The movie is given U/A certificate with some little cuts. The movie is now all set for a grand release on May 5th.

The makers have dared Thursday release due to Summer holidays. Supreme has the distinction of being sold out completely even before the shooting is complete. Abhishek Picture purchased the negative rights of the film for a fancy amount.

Raashi Khanna is the heroine in the film and she plays a cop in the film. The recently released trailers increased the expectations on the movie. The movie comes with a caption, ‘Don’t Sound Horn’ and will see Sai Dharam Tej playing the role of a cab driver.

Sources say the cab plays an important role in the film. Pataas fame Anil Ravipudi is directing this film. Dil Raju is producing the film on his Sri Venkateswara Creations Banner. Sai Karthik is composing music for the film.

The long-wait for the re-entry of Megastar Chiranjeevi into the film industry has come to an end with the breaking of coconut for Muhurtam shot on Friday. This has laid to rest all the doubts among his fans on whether Chiranjeevi would ever come back to films.Chiranjeevi’s son Ramcharan Teja, who is producing the film, has engaged the top-class technical team to make the movie, which is going to sets from Monday.

While ace director V V Vinayak is wielding the megaphone, popular music director Devi Sri Prasad is providing the background score and noted cinematographer Ratnavelu is holding the camera. The film is coming up under the banner of “Konidela Production Company” founded by Ramcharan.The film is said to be a remake of Tamil film Kathi, which was a mega success. The title of the Telugu film has been registered as “Kathilantodu” but it has not been officially announced.

Prince Mahesh Babu’s fans went ga ga in social media network over completion of 10 years of his block buster film “Pokiri.”It is not known whether he was overwhelmed by this euphoria among Mahesh Babu’s fans or whether he had really consulted the Prince; but ace director Puri Jagannath released a poster on his twitter declaring that he was doing his next film with Mahesh Babu under the title “Jana Gana Mana.”

At present, Mahesh is too busy to respond. He is doing his next film with Tamil director Murugadoss and it is learnt, his subsequent film is also with another Tamil director.So, it is not sure whether Mahesh Babu will sing “Jana Gana Mana” so early, since he is busy expanding his market base in Telugu and Tamil film industries.

And this is not the first time that Puri Jagannath had announced that he would be doing a film with Mahesh Babu shortly. He had done it many times in the past, but Mahesh Babu had been busy with other projects.Interestingly, he, too, says he is keen on doing a film with Puri Jagannath, but it has not made any headway so far.

Powerstar Pawan Kalyan will be the Chief Guest for the audio release event of Nithin and Trivikram’s A..Aa. Nithin is on a cloud nine after his favourite actor agreed to grace the event. Trivikram is a close friend of Pawan Kalyan and so making him agree is not a big deal.

The event will happen on May 2nd at Shilpa Kala Vedhika, Hyderabad. The shooting of the movie is complete recently and the post production of the movie are going on at full swing. The movie’s tentatively planned for May 27th release.

A..Aa is the story about the cultural clash between a city family and a village family. The makers are planning a concept based audio launch and Trivikram is personally supervising the arrangements. Samantha and Anupama Parameshwaran are the heroines.

Nithin will be seen as Anand Vihari while Samantha will be Anasuya Ramalingam in the film. Trivikram’s close friends, Harika and Haasini creations is producing this youthful entertainer. They previously produced Trivikram’s Julayi and S/O Satyamurthy.
