INSIDE STORY: Dil Raju to create problems for Brahmotsavam?
The other day, Abhishek Pictures announced that they have bagged the Nizam Rights of Superstar Mahesh Babu’s Brahmo1tsavam. They have previously distributed Srimanthudu in Nizam and walked away with good profits. However the announcement came as a big surprise to Senior Producer and Distributor Dil Raju.Dil Raju was very interested in distributing the film in Nizam.
He gave the producers an offer of 14 Crore and they agreed for it. All this happened orally with out any agreement. It is quite common to have oral commitments in film distribution when Big distributors are involved for obvious reasons.
However Abhishek Pictures came up with an offer of 16 Crore. PVP closed the deal with an agreement with out even having a word with Dil Raju. Until now Abhishek Pictures released all their films in Dil Raju leased theaters. Fans are worrying that Dil Raju may not co-operate with them due to the issue. But such a decision would mess the relationship with Mahesh Babu. So lets see how the issue pans out!
Fraud Claiming To Be Ministers’ Kith Arrested
The Guntur police have arrested a fraudster named Anil for allegedly duping people and carrying out anti-social activities and real estate settlements in the capital region. Anil was claiming to be the own brother of the state’s ministers Kollu Ravindra and Chinarajappa.
Anil’s modus operandi even stunned the cops. He used to directly call police stations and government offices and threw his weight around by using high-end vehicles with MP and MLA stickers to con everyone during his settlements in Amaravati and surrounding areas.
So far, Anil was charged with offenses in several land disputes and extortions. After being tipped about his activities, the Guntur police kept a strict vigil on his movements and nabbed him finally. Anil confessed to his crimes after police interrogated him in their style. The cops recovered Rs. 30,000, 2 cars, weapons and 4 mobile phones and a laptop from Anil.
Pawan Calls MPs to Fight for Status, Cautions BJP!
Actor-politician Pawan Kalyan has given a call for the MPs (both ruling and Opposition parties) from Andhra Pradesh to fight for the successor state’s Special Status. At the same time, Pawan cautioned the BJP following the reports of few BJP leaders ruling out Special Status to the successor state.
Jana Sena chief shared notes in a series of tweets on his micro-blogging page. The notes say, “Exactly two years ago, Congress party had done a blunder with the unilateral bifurcation of the united Andhra Pradesh by beating up and throwing the Seemandhra MPs out of the parliament. No one has forgotten the gross insult occurred to the people of Seemandhra that day and will never forget it.
Going back on the promise of Special Category Status to AP today is smashing the Seemandhra people’s trust. I wish BJP shouldn’t follow the path towards such mistake.Before people taking to the streets fighting for the Special Status and before doing an agitation, on behalf of Seemandhra people, I appeal to the ruling party MPs to unite with Opposition parties’ MPs and together fight (for Special Status) in the parliament.”
Now, the ball is in the court of TDP, YSRCP and BJP MPs from AP. Now that Pawan intervened into the situation, it needs to be seen how BJP’s top brass reacts.
Babu Ready for Break-UP!
If Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s open dissent against BJP-led Union Government is anything to go by, it’s clear that all is not well between TDP and BJP. The duo who contested jointly in the 2014 polls stormed into power with clear mandate from people. However, the things weren’t the same and changed a lot in the past two years.
The latest is that TDP leaders are suspicious that BJP’s top brass is keen on joining hands with TRS in Telangana and might offer helping hand to the Opposition YSRCP in the truncated state of AP. Several TDP leaders’ are suspicious that BJP and YSRCP would forge an alliance in 2019 elections. Suspicious Naidu swiftly stepped into the scene and see to it to weaken YSRCP as much as possible. This led to the mass exodus of leaders, public representatives from YCP to TDP.
At a time many of his MLAs are ditching the party, Jagan’s visit to New Delhi certainly raised many eyeballs and added fuel to the ongoing speculations that Jagan is going all out to woo the BJP. Jagan met Union Ministers Rajnath Singh, Arun Jaitley and Dharmendra Pradhan at Delhi and is said to be happy with the response he got from BJP top brass.
While the BJP has started sending indications that it is looking at other ‘alternatives’ in any possible ‘break-up’ with TDP, Mr Naidu too is bracing himself by making efforts to woo minorities to face any eventuality.By now, Jagan seems to have understood that he alone couldn’t take mighty Naidu and TDP. For this, he needs a strong backing from Centre. Above all, Jagan direly needs the support of BJP to overcome the cases, chargesheets by the CBI, the ED.
Naidu’s Counter Strategy:
Already Chandrababu Naidu chalked out a plan to face the situation tactifully. His recent promise to induct a Muslim leader into his cabinet clearly says that Naidu wants to welcome miniorities with open hands to put a check to BJP. With this, Naidu is prepping up to go all alone in 2019 polls in the state-level.
* Inducting a Muslim into the state cabinet.
* Providing 4 percent reservation to Muslims in education & employment.
* To blame BJP for not giving Special Category Status to AP and not helping the state financially.
* Highlighting YS Jagan’s corruption charges and centre’s soft stand on Jagan’s cases.
Nithya Replaced Jyothika In 24
Versatile actor Suriya is next coming up with yet another experimental film 24 set for grand release worldwide on May 6th. They are promoting 24 like a straight Telugu film. Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Nithya Menen will be seen as lead heroines in the sci-fi thriller directed by Vikram Kumar who is known for presenting complicated stories in easily understandable manner.
Suriya revealed that, Nithya Menen was not the original choice for second heroine role. Suriya’s wife Jyothika who is out of action for long time was supposed to essay the role. However, she couldn’t do the film, since she had signed to work for a female oriented film 36 Vayadhinile then. Suriya also revealed that he is waiting for an exciting script to work with Jyothika.
Suriya said that, he has watched rushes of the film and he is very confident about the film scoring a big hit. In fact, he had decided to produce the movie, when director Vikram Kumar had narrated him the story.
Babu To Clash With NTR
If a latest grapevine is anything to go by, Victory Venkatesh’s forthcoming entertainer Babu Bangaram will release on August 5th to clash with young tiger Jr NTR’s Janatha Garage releasing on August 12th. Usually, Venkatesh avoids box office fight. But, after a long time he is competing with other hero.
Actress Nayanthara is rumored to be reason for delay in Babu Bangaram release. As per the grapevine, she is not allocating call sheets on required dates. Furthermore, she is turning up late on the sets. Off late, Nayanthara is hectic busy with bagful projects in Tamil. So, she is finding it difficult to assign call sheets for all these films.
The makers of Babu Bangaram have initially planned to release their movie in summer. Later, they postponed it to July 1st. Finally, the movie is arriving to theaters on August 5th, as per the reports.It will be interesting to see the clash between Venkatesh’s Babu Bangaram and NTR’s Janatha Garage, which both are targeted at family audience. Hope, both the films will do well at the box office.

Here is the sneak peek from Mahesh Babu’s forthcoming Brahmotsavam. Mahesh is seen playing Dandiya and as usual, the superstar is at his best and seems to be in good form. Directed by Srikanth Addala, the film is billed to be a romantic drama set against family backdrop. Given that Srikanth-Mahesh combo delivered a clean family drama Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu in the past, fans are hoping that the duo would repeat the magic.
As the film’s audio launch is slated for May 7th in Hyderabad at a private convention centre, preparations are in full swing. Nagarjuna Akkineni, who is riding high with back-to-back hits of late, is expected to be the chief guest for the Sangeethotsavam. Mickey J Meyer has rendered the music. Mahesh will be seen romancing Kajal Aggarwal, Pranitha Subash and Samantha in the film.
Janatha Garage Vizag Price sets Tarak’s Career best
Young Tiger NTR’s Janatha Garage is registering the actor’s career best figures every where. The movie is a super rage in the trade. The Nellore rights of the movie were brought by Gayatri Devi Films for a whopping 5.12 Crore. This is a record price for Tarak in the area.
Similar trend exists in all the areas of trade. Non-stop schedules are planned for the film so that the entire shooting will be completed by mid July. The makers are considering Janatha Garage (with a tagline – Ikkada Anni Repairlu Cheyyabadunu) as the title of the film even though they did not announce it officially.
They are planning to release the movie on August 12th, 2016. The release date works in the movie’s favour as there is a long weekend holiday due to Independence day holiday on Monday. Mytri Film Makers who turned producers with Srimanthudu will be producing this film as well.
Yerineni Naveen, Yalamanchili Ravi Shankar (Thammudu) and CVM (Mohan) are the producers. Music Devil, Devi Sri Prasad will be composing music as Koratala’s previous films – Mirchi and Srimanthudu.
