TRS looks unassailable and unchallenged as of now and this may continue for some more time. But on a larger scale, for the first time three forces which were bitter rivals in Telangana have joined hands to take on TRS. This seems to be the only way out for the opponents of KCR.

It is already known that TRS has announced its candidate as Tummala for the Paler Assembly seat in Khammam wherein by elections will be held due to sudden demise of sitting Congress MLA Ramreddy Venkatreddy. Congress plans to make the seat unanimous failed as TRS wants one more seat in its kitty.

While CPI refrained from contesting, it is now interesting as CPM is keen to contest. Congress made desperate attempts to convince everyone while KCR has refused appointment so far for wife of Ramreddy, Sucharitha Reddy who is the official Congress candidate.

Now after YSRCP, both TDP as well as BJP have declared their support to Congress candidate. TDP was born on anti-Congress plank while the same can be said of BJP on national level. But now all have joined hands and the contest will be interesting to watch!

Former Minister, senior leader MV.Mysoora Reddy after quitting the YSRCP, shocked its president, leader of the opposition Jagan Mohan Reddy making sensational comments against him. He blasted Jagan for his hunger for power and said he has no respect for seniors in the party.

He said Jagan crushes internal democracy and then branded him as ‘Aparichitudu’. It is known that Chiyaan Vikram, known for his versatile performances, spellbound all with his different expressions in three different shades in Shankar’s Aparichitudu.

Mysoora Reddy said Jagan’s behavior changes with each passing second and no one can understand him. However people feel comparison of Jagan with Aparichitudu is an insult to the role created by Shankar.

It is known that in Shankar’s Aparichitudu is a powerful take on corruption and the lead character eliminates everyone indulging in corruption in a brutal manner while Jagan himself is in neck deep corruption.

The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) is holding the second plenary session in Khammam today. In this one-day session, the party’s think-tank will be discussing several crucial developmental agendas, Palair Assembly by-election and cabinet reshuffle etc, along with adopting 15 important resolutions.

The main attraction at the plenary sessions has been the menu items for lunch. Over 4,000 guests including senior leaders and cadres were served various Telangana delicacies. But the icing on the cake was the all-Andhra cuisine, which the leaders relished to their heart’s content.

Special and traditional Andhra cuisine including Gongura Mutton, Guttivankaya curry, tomato chutney, vankaya vepudu, mamidikaya pappu, gummadi iguru, sanaga papoue, mudda pappu, chinta charu, royyala vepudu and korameenu pulusu etc were some of the Andhra delicacies savored by the TRS leaders.

In the past too, several T-TDP leaders who often visit Andhra Pradesh and Amaravati for the party meetings relished Andhra cuisine. One can surely say – “divided by regions, but united by food.

Senior YSRCP leader Mysura Reddy has come down heavily on YSR Congress Party and its leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Defending his decision to resign from the party, Reddy stated, “It’s better to quit rather than cutting nails in the party office”. Once close associate of YS Rajasekhar Reddy, Mysura hinted that there’s nothing one could do within the party.

Mysura further said that suggestions of seniors fallen on the deaf ears of Jagan and he doesn’t care or pay heed to anyone’s advises. He added that there was no “internal democracy” within the party and all these factors compelled him to leave the party. In a 4-page resignation letter, Mysura clearly mentioned the reasons for his decision to leave YSRCP.

When media asked Mysura about Jagan’s work, he promptly said, “Jagan has no intention to fight for people’s problems. Only those who have money are respected in YSRCP. There’re no morals, values in the party. Jagan’s character is like Aparichutudu and one doesn’t understand how he behaves when.” Mysura further alleged that Jagan is power-hungry and all he wants is power and nothing less.

On parting note, Mysura said he hasn’t decided on his next step. He said that he’d take good decision keeping his followers, people in mind.

It is not very sure whether YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy is getting any support to his “Save Democracy” campaign in New Delhi, but he certainly has got a sympathetic response back home in Andhra Pradesh from Pradesh Congress Committee president N Raghuveera Reddy.On Wednesday, Raghuveera came down heavily on Telugu Desam Party president and AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for indulging in large scale poaching of the Opposition MLAs.

“The Operation Akarsh taken up by Naidu is highly unethical and immoral. He is poaching the YSR Congress party MLAs only to win the fourth Rajya Sabha seat in the coming elections,” he alleged.The Pradesh Congress Committee president described the defecting MLAs as worse than “beggars.” Those who got elected on one party ticket but defected to the other party later had no moral right to continue in their posts. They should immediately resign from their Assembly membership and get elected again, he demanded.

Raghuveera, however, also found fault with Jagan for letting his party MLAs to be sold out to the TDP.“He should take everybody into confidence and have cordial relations with the MLAs. He should learn the art of managing the party,” he said.

The recent reshuffle in the Telangana state cabinet paved way to several rumours about the TRS chief and Telangana CM KCR giving prominence to his son KTR by sidelining his nephew Harish Rao. KCR stripping Harish Rao of his Mining and Geology portfolio and gifting it to his prince-in-waiting KTR apart from additional portfolios sparked of debates on son-rise in TRS.

Quickly refuting the rumours in a press conference at TRS Bhavan, TRS MP and KCR’a daughter Kalvakuntla Kavitha said that there is no such hierarchy in the party and that KCR is not favoring anybody and also ruled out sidelining Harish Rao. Stating that KCR will be Telangana’s CM for the next 20 years, Kavitha termed Harish and KTR as the ‘two eyes of the TRS party’.

When asked if who of the two, Harish or KTR, is number 2 and 3 in the state cabinet, Kavitha said there is no such situation existing in the party and that it is like asking whether it was the head or the heart that is more necessary for the body.”They both have a role to play. The changes in the portfolios is to ensure administrative efficiency and better service to the people,” the Nizamabad MP said.
