Producer Potluri Vara Prasad has produced continuous films under his PVP Cinemas banner, irrespective of results. Recent two films from the production house- Kshanam and Oopiri were commercial hits. The entrepreneur turned producer hopes his next film Brahmotsavam starring Mahesh Babu will provide his banner first hat trick of hits.Directed by Srikanth Addala, Brahmotsavam is being made as biggest budgeted film for Mahesh Babu and PVP Cinemas.

The producer is planning to hold the film’s audio launch event grandly in Tirupati in May first week. Mickey J Meyer has scored music for the family entertainer, while Mani Sharma is working on background score.There are so many other positive omens for the film. Mahesh-Addala combo first film SVSC was a blockbuster.

Mahesh Babu’s last outing Srimanthudu was a second highest grosser in Tollywood. Moreover, PVP Cinemas is in top form with two big hits. Fortunately, Brahmotsavam is doing massive pre release business.Buzz is that, Brahmotsavam release is postponed to May 20th.

Despite mixed talk, stylish star Allu Arjun’s Sarainodu is making strong business in week days too. The film has passed the Monday, since collections were rock steady on the day. Yesterday, the production team organized success meet in Hyderabad and most of the core team was present.

Allu Arjun said he joined hands with director Boyapati Sreenu as to gain popularity in mass audience and concluded that his wish has been fulfilled with the enormous response in theaters. “Boyapati is the most hard working director I have ever worked with,” said Bunny who has also revealed about his pichchi.

“I seriously don’t care about results. I want my films to appear prolific. Audience should enjoy watching the grand visuals on big screens. And that is my pichchi,” says Allu Arjun.Allu Aravind disclosed that, he never ever compromised on budget for his production ventures. “We spent Rs 2.62 crores on pub set and it cost around Rs 2 crores for song shoot in Bolivia.

It’s not just because Bunny is my son, I would have spent same budget on any other hero too.”While speaking at the event, Boyapati affirmed, “I feel every film I do as my first film. I felt the same for Sarainodu and will put same efforts for my future films too

Rumours are afloat that Bollywood Superstar Aamir Khan might replace Suriya in the Hindi remake of his upcoming Telugu-Tamil bilingual 24. Although there’s enough time for the film to be remade given that the movie is not yet released, but grapevine is that original producers want to pitch it to Aamir as the star’s sensibilities are close to Suriya.

Even earlier, Suriya’s Ghajini was remade into Hindi with Aamir reprising the role.Touted to be a scientific thriller directed by Vikram Kumar of Manam fame, 24 featuring Samantha and Nithya Menen is all set to hit the screens on May 6. Already, the film’s trailer has garnered enough eyeballs and there’s good curiosity on the film.

If Aamir really steps into Suriya’s shoes again or not would be known only after the film’s released. And yes, it does depends on how the film fares at the ticket windows.

Apparently, the director wasn’t convinced with the music director’s re-recording for a big-ticket film which pushed the director, producer into last-minute tension.Last 4 days before the release, the makers realised that the re-recording of the film for two-reels weren’t place as expected.

At one-stage, insiders even felt that movie wouldn’t be out on time. But with timely intervention of director who made the music director sit with him and work on the re-recording saved the movie.

Now the film saw the light of the day and the director, music director, star and producer said to have forgotten the issue and basking in its success. It’s heard that music directors who have to work for several films in a year are ending up doing these mistakes due to heavy load of work. But for top directors, stars and producers, they only have one release once in two years or so.

Few days ago, there is a news that the Rattanpur set which was erected in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad got on fire when Sardaar Gabbar Singh team is trying to dismantle it. There is a rumour doing rounds in the Filmnagar that the fire accident is not an accident but is a hand work of the movie team itself.

The rumour mills say the makers have insured the set for a big amount and are in the process of claiming the damages for the set which already served its purpose. If the reports are true, one can wonder how Pawan Kalyan who is known to be a honest man agreed to it. And it has to be seen if insurance companies can be cheated so easily.

Sardaar Gabbar Singh run already completed in almost all the centers as most centers have gone Net Free for the film. The movie is likely to touch the 50 Crore share mark but will end up as South India’s biggest disaster due to huge money invested on the film. There are also demands Pawan Kalyan should come to the rescue of the trade.
