Amy Jackson may next team up with Ravi Teja
Chennai: Actress Amy Jackson is being considered for actor Ravi Teja’s next yet-untitled Telugu outing with debut director Chakri.
“The makers have initiated talks with Amy, and if everything works out as planned, she may team up with Ravi for the first time. In about two week’s time, we should be able to get a better picture,” a source from the film’s unit said.
The film, which will be produced by K.L. Damodar Prasad, will go on the floors next year.“The shooting may start early next year. The dates are being worked out as Ravi also has two more projects in his kitty,” the source added.
Amy’s last Telugu outing was 2014 actioner “Yevadu” with Ram Charan Teja.
Ranveer Chooses To Stay Mum On Deepika
Mumbai: Actor Ranveer Singh, who is rumoured to be dating actress Deepika Padukone, parried questions related to his “Bajirao Mastani” co-star. “I am not giving you any headline,” Ranveer said when asked if the two have got more close after their on-screen pairing was appreciated, for a second time, in the Sanjay Leela Bhansali directed historical-drama.
The Ranveer-Deepika pairing was a hit on-screen post “Ram Leela”, which was also helmed by Bhansali, in 2013. In “Bajirao Mastani”, there is a love triangle between Maratha warrior Peshwa Bajirao (Ranveer), Mastani (Deepika) and Kashibai (Bajirao’s first wife, played by Priyanka).
On love triangles being messy in real life, the 30-year-old actor said, “I myself have been part of love triangle, sometimes at the losing end, and I know how it feels. I have gone through a lot.”
Ranveer is elated at the response “Bajirao Mastani”, which released last Friday, is getting at the box office.
Twitter block list is Sunny Leone’s weapon for haters

Sunny, an Indo-Canadian former adult film star, who has become popular in Bollywood, tweeted: “I think I might have the largest block list! So happy there’s a block button. If you post obscene stuff or say mean things I block! Blah.”
This is not the first time a celebrity has warned users about sharing obscene posts or abusing.
Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor, who is vocal about his thoughts on social media platform, has strictly mentioned on his official Twitter profile that “Anti National or abusers will be blocked”.
Another Shock From ‘Director’ Sukumar!
Sukumar has scored a blockbuster success with his first attempt as producer. Kumari 21F made on Sukumar Writings turned out to be a big success at the box office as it catered to the youngsters. Sukumar has come up with a very bold script and shocked everyone with an unexpected ending.
Kumari 21F success has boosted his confidence so much that he is now gearing up to launch yet another film on his banner. Second film on Sukumar Writings is titled Director and will have story and screenplay written by Sukumar. Details regarding the star cast are awaited.
Ratnavelu and Devi Sri Prasad will be the cinematographer and music director respectively. They will share profits with Sukumar like they did for Kumari 21F. It is interesting to see what will Sukumar come up with now. We can expect even bolder and even trendier script from the writer and director known for his out of the box ideas.
Teja to Launch Cricketer in Tollywood?
If Film Nagar grapevine is anything to go by, director Teja is likely to launch cricketer in Tollywood. Eccentric filmmaker Teja, who launched a bevy of new faces like Kajal Aggarwal, Uday Kiran, Navdeep, Prince and Nithiin, is now set to launch controversial cricketer Sreesanth in Telugu film industry.
Impressed with the gripping story line of love story revolving around a top cricketer and top actress set against IPL scandal and match fixing, Teja will be launching a script writer too. Set to go on floor next month, the multilingual film will be reportedly backed by top production house UTV.
Given that Teja is close to Bollywood technicians, he is contemplating to rope in leading composer Pritam to belt out rocking tunes.
Thinking of Ratnavel to crank camera besides a popular actress, looks like Teja wants to break his jinx with this universal story and leaving no stone unturned this time around. Since Teja is reeling under flops, he is pinning hopes that this movie would overturn his fortunes.
Online drive to revive ancient temple mast
GUNTUR: An online campaign seeking reconstruction of 1500-year-old Gali Gopuram (temple mast) of ancient Bhavanarayana Swamy temple at Bapatla has began. The ancient mast collapsed on October 23, 2011 but it has not been reconstructed so far. The public sentimentally feel that the collapse of the mast is a bad omen and demanding to rebuild it.
According to history, Bhavanarayana temple located in the heart of Bapatla, is one among the oldest temples constructed by king Krimikantha Chola in 1465 and was restored by Raja Vasireddi Venkata-dri Naidu of Amravati kingdom in 1856. The tower of the temple was designed from one rock and it was the specialty of the temple. The public, including saints and devotees feel some unknown power, calmness, peace within the temple. This temple reportedly belongs to the Mauryan era in the then Bhavapuri which later came to be known as Bapatla.
Gali Gopura Nirmana Committee chairman S.B.N.G. Tilak said that sadly the archeological department did not start any construction since 2011 after the masdt collapsed. He said that they started an online campaign through Integr-ated Citizen Redressal Forum (ICRF) and its Android mobile application. He said that people can install ICRF mobile application in their smart phones and can join the campaign demanding reconstruction of the mast. The committee members lamented that according to the Hindu mythology, absence of the mast is a bad omen to the local people.
