Mumbai: A recent report released by Flickr suggested that iPhone cameras occupied the top spot in their evaluation of the most popular devices in 2015. The popularity of Apple device cameras has even managed to overshadow some top DSLR cameras. Even though Apple cameras do not offer the best camera specifications on paper, their devices still manage to click amazing pictures. The rising popularity of Apple devices is not just driven by brand value and the company’s senior director of camera hardware Graham Townsend revealed the amount of drudgery put in behind every image clicked by an iPhone.

In the latest edition of CBS’ 60 minutes programme, Townsend pointed out that the latest Apple devices—iPhone 6s and 6s Plus—have approximately 200 individual parts integrated within! Moreover, he also said that a team 800 engineers have worked relentlessly to create the amazing camera featured by the latest iPhones while another team is employed to develop the software tools to further optimise and improve the quality of the photos and videos.

During an Optical image stabilisation demostration, Townsend also explained that every iPhone performs 24 billion different operations when taking a single picture, which shows how fast an Apple iPhone camera performs. The Apple iPhone 6s and 6s have only one differece: the 6s Plus features Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS). Apart from that both are equipped with a 12-MP primary camera, 1/3” sensor, 4K video support, phase detection auto focus, dual-LED flash, and face recognition.

The selfie-clicking experience on both the devices is also unparallel, as the 5Mp front shooter supports face time, face detection, HDR, and panorama. In addition, the secondary camera can shoot videos in full HD resolution at 30 frames per second.

“Today we are having a good time because after two years of hard work, ‘Sanam Re’ is going to release… I think it shouldn’t be overshadowed by such questions. I am not saying anything about the matter,” she said.

Baha Kilikki Pop Song From Smita

Telugu pop sensational singer Smita is known to all of us with super hit song ‘Hai Rabba Hai.’ However, she could not continue the same tempo and winning touch for few of her albums released later on. ‘Masaka Masaka Cheekatilo’ from Smita was also one such song which should have in fact gathered more response.

Half success as a pop singer helped Smita to enter in main stream cinema doing a few peculiar characters. After a break, Smita is in full flow with her new song ‘Baha Kilikki,’ based on the most popular Kilki language invented by Tamil lyricist Madan Karky.

The idea of Smita to frame a song and also shoot the same on self along with Kalakeya Prabhakar is getting immense positive reactions. The sizzling appearance of Smita and her sensuous dance moves with those scorching tongue shakes are really hot.

One has to still agree a truth that Smita is a talented singer on Telugu land who did not get her due share of recognition. Hope this ‘Baha Kilikki’ will take her to new highs in entire India because Kilkili language is so popularized with ‘Bahubali.’ This is a different sort of tribute from Smita to ‘Bahubali’ team.

The New Year of 2016 is going to begin with two new promising films ‘Nenu Shailaja’ and ‘Abbayitho Ammayi’ hitting the theaters on same day. Coming to the second flick from Ramesh Varma, there is an interesting star cast of Naga Shaurya with newcomer Palak Lalwani. The first look posters and all those promotional stuff created good buzz for the film and when it’s music from Ilayaraja, obviously there is high dose magnetism attached.

Here comes more sensational news for ‘Abbayitho Ammayi’ about hat trick hero Raj Tharun giving the voice-over. Well, the young boy is in full Josh with back to back hits in ‘Uyyala Jampala, Cinema Choopistha Mava’ and ‘Kumari 21 F’ is also having ‘Seethamma Andalu Ramayya Sitralu’ set for a quick release in coming few weeks.

Raj Tharun has that natural flair and dialectical throw in rendering dialogues which connected well with youth pulse. This made Ramesh Varma to rope in Raj Tharun and the actor has readily accepted to lend the voice which starts the flow of film. Hope, this is the new zone where Raj proves to be again talented and also lucky charm for others.

She was not even tempted to the huge remuneration offer they gave her. The makers approached Mumaith Khan and confirmed her for the song. On the other side, Nayan recently gave a nod for an item song in Tamil opposite Ilayathalapathy Vijay. Does this mean Nayan is fine with item songs but not with Balayya?

Khaleda raises doubt on Liberation War casualties

Share

zia_jpg_2551117f

Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) chief Khaleda Zia has picked up a new controversy doubting the number of casualties in the country’s Liberation War against Pakistan.

“There is a debate about how many hundreds of thousands were martyred in the Liberation War. Different books and documents give different accounts,” she said.

The officially recognised figure of deaths, confirmed by independent research, is three million. Last November, the Pakistani government had denied its Army’s war-time atrocities in Bangladesh while slamming Bangladesh’s war crimes trials. The BNP chief’s remarks came on Monday when she was addressing members of the Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Muktijudda Dal, a front organisation of the party.

Ms. Zia also demanded a ‘transparent’ war crimes trial of ‘international standards’.

Iraqi family braves perilous journey to new life in Germany

Share

MIGRANTS_FAMILY_S__2668019g

Settling down in the city of Heidelberg, the parents comforted their four children as the reality of what they had just endured struck like a thunderclap and the tears flowed freely. They were tears of trauma, loss and flickering hope. “We used to have a home. A fine life. We used to have money and never needed anyone,” said the mother, Bessi Qasim, who uses her father’s surname. Dabbing at her eyes, the 42-year-old homemaker said her job now was to make a new home. “I just want my children to be happy and see them growing up. I want to be able to replace the bad memories with new good ones.”Those bad memories include at least three brushes with death- with murderous invaders, the fear of drowning, a daughter’s cancer.

The Qasus escaped as IS forces seized the city on Aug. 3, 2014. All six Bessi, husband Samir, daughters Delphine and Dunia, sons Dilshad and Dildar climbed aboard a truck heading north for the Turkish border. They soon heard word of wholesale slaughter, rapes and kidnappings back home as thousands behind them retreated without food or water to Mount Sinjar. “We took nothing with us. I didn’t need to see IS to know how horrifying they are,” said Samir, 45, who abandoned his convenience store in Sinjar. He said cousins who stayed behind have vanished. For 15 months, the Qasus existed on the fringe of Turkish society. As a refugee, Samir was barred from working legally and said his children faced intimidation at school because of their Yazidi identity.

“We had a miserable life,” said Samir, who kept his family out of Turkish refugee camps and rented an apartment, but struggled to pay bills by working illegally part-time in construction jobs. “I reached a point where I couldn’t take it anymore. We had no dignity. I just wanted my children to live in a safe, peaceful place.” The smuggler in Istanbul demanded $10,000 for the six of them to join 26 others on a cabin cruiser designed to carry perhaps a quarter that many. They left the Turkish coast before dawn on Dec. 3 bound for the island of Lesbos, the first port of EU call for nearly 400,000 asylum seekers this year. Scores have drowned as boats, typically helmed by novice refugees, are swamped or overturned.

Samir paid in part with money provided by his brother, who had already made it to Sweden. The boat appeared more substantial than the typical rigid inflatables that smugglers deploy as one-use throwaway items. That didn’t stop the engine of the overloaded boat from breaking down midway, leaving the Qasus to bob helplessly on the choppy Aegean. “I was 95 per cent certain that death would take us,” said Samir, who said he prayed for God to claim him and save his loved ones.
