Pragya Jaiswal who got a break with Varun Tej’s Kanche, got one more chance in Tollywood. The actress will be playing the main lead in the film while Premam fame Anupama Parameshwaran will be seen as the other heroine.

Now that the female leads are confirmed, the makers will very soon begin the regular shoot. They are planning to shoot the film continuously until it is complete. Plans are on to release the movie in Summer-2016. Yevado Okadu will have Shyam playing the main villain.

Shyam and Raviteja’s combination is a big hit back then in Kick and now this new combination will excite the audience. Devi Sri Prasad will be composing music for Raviteja after several years. Dil Raju will be producing the movie under his Sri Venkateswara Creations banner.

‘Bajirao Mastani,’ the much touted historical film made by Sanjay Leela Bhansali in Maratha Kingdom’s Pesha backdrop starring Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra is all set for gigantic release on December 18th. Lured by the ever growing market range for Telugu films as witnessed in the cases of ‘Rudhramadevi, Bahubali’ falling into this similar genre, now Bhansali team has decided to release ‘Bajirao Mastani’ Telugu version coinciding with the Hindi.

Epic dramas and fantasy added historical stories have a strong market span in South India. ‘I have been yearning to tell this story for Indian and world audience. I am very glad because viewers in South will also get to watch the film in Telugu and Tamil languages,’ a statement from happy Bhansali.

While Madhan Karky, who penned dialogues for Tamil version of ‘Bhaubali’ and man behind discovering the Kilki language used on Kalakeya is managing the Tamil version ‘Bajirao Mastani’ dialogues and Rama Jogayya Shastri is going forward with Telugu version. Last Hindi film ‘Prem Ratan Dha Payo’ from Salman is also dubbed into Telugu as ‘Prema Leela.’

Naga Chaitanya’s next project, Majnu began with a formal Pooja this morning. The movie unit attended the launch event at Rama Naidu Studios. The regular shooting will begin from December 3rd in Vishakapatnam.

Majnu is the remake of very successful Malayalam film, Premam. The makers are planning to shoot the film non-stop and will be releasing it in June/July. Shruti Hassan, Anupama Parameshwaran and Aisha Sharma are the heroines.

Karthikeya fame Chandoo Mondeti is directing the film. The film will be extensively shot in the exotic locales of Visakhapatnam, Rajahmundry, Goa, Europe, Pollachi and Araku. Rumours say Nagarjuna and Venkatesh will be seen in cameo roles in the film.

As of now, Raviteja pinned lots of hopes on upcoming release ‘Bengal Tiger.’ Director Sampat Nandi and producer Radha Mohan are sitting pretty comfortable oozing in confidence about having a blockbuster hit product in their hands. In fact, Mass Maharaja’s future course of script and project selection lies in the result of ‘Bengal Tiger’ because his last film ‘Kick 2’ fared very badly and a hit is what he urgently needs.

Meanwhile, ‘Swamy Rara’ fame Sudheer Varma is also heard to have approached Ravi with a slick heist-action entertainer which is impressive. The hero of masses has already signed ‘Yevado Okkadu’ in direction of Venu Sreeram which already took-off. So, all it depends on ‘Bengal Tiger’ which can impart much needed momentum to his career.

Close sources reveal that, Sudheer Varma sketched a characterization that is never played on Raviteja till now. However, there is also a shade of experimentation in it which is keeping the hero in dual minds. “At the moment I’m thinking only about Baahubali 2, and I may chalk some plans for third sequel of the film. Garuda and Mahbharata, and 1000 crores budgets, are all just rumours. Media cooked all those stories, I’ve not thought anything about such films”, said SS Rajamouli, the other day.

As the news of Mohanlal acting in Rajamouli’s 1000 crores project “Garuda” has picked steam, Malayali media is very keen to know more details about it. The other day Rajamouli was in Trivandrum to attend the wedding of a close friend’s daughter and and also to attend an event organised by Kerala Tourism to promote wedding and film tourism in the state.

He spoke to media then. He denied roping Mohanlal for any film, not just this rumoured Garuda. Actually after Student No.1, Rajamouli was supposed to work with Mohanlal, a mythological project was started and then shelved mid-way.

As the film is in horror genre, initially I had my own share of apprehensions. As soon as they narrated me the story, I felt myself to fit perfectly in the bill. Good thing is Bhatt family wanted only me into the character. This is a role with grey shades and I am still overwhelmed speaking to Bhatt family members,’ Kriti informed media friends without divulging much details about the role.

A couple of months ago post the phenomenal success of Baahubali, Tollywood’s macho hunk Rana Daggubati said that he would never act with Superstar Mahesh Babu in a multistarrer. While the motive behind Rana’s striking statement were unknown, he did disappoint many of Maheh’s fans. Many doubted if all was well between the Ghattamanenis and the Daggubati.

However, what happened at the audio launch event of Mahesh’s brother-in-law Sudheer Babu’s latest film Bhale Manchi Roju would erase all the negative vibes around both the stars. Mahesh was the chief guest at the audio launch event in which Rana was also invited. Straight upon his arrival at the event, Rana first hugged Sudheer and exchanged pleasantries.

What Rana did moments later pleasantly surprised everyone. Rana then greeted Mahesh and almost touched his feet as a gesture of seeking his blessings. Well, Rana was indeed joking with his gesture and so was Mahesh, who broke into laughter with Rana’s act. Needless to say, this clears all the air about the ‘differences’ rumors.

Hailed as India’s biggest blockbuster after his monstrous worldwide success, Baahubali was also lauded for its technical brilliance, including its visual effects and the topnotch cinematography. However, the man behind those world-class visuals, KK Senthil, says he is not happy with so many things in Baahubali.

Speaking to a national media house on the sidelines of the ongoing International Film Festival of India, Senthil said, ‘as a DOP, I am disappointed by a lot of things in ‘Baahubali’. There are so many scenes where there were keying mistakes, which made the CGI look fake. There were issues related to the depth of field, there are motion blurs.”

However, a determined Senthil says that the team is trying to correct these problems in the second part and get a slicker image. Senthil also said that he never expected Baahubali The Beginning to be so successful and raised the expectations on the second part saying that the first part was just the introduction and that the second part is where the core story really happens.

From historical subjects to socio fantasies, Anushka is the only hope for producers to attempt something new. Extending her craze from ‘Bahubali, Rudramadevi, Varna;’ now Anushka has come forward as Sweety in ‘Size Zero’ portraying the best of emotions as an overweight girl. The film released yesterday to divided reviews has at least got one unique opinion everywhere and it is the sweet performance from our Sweety.

As reported in past, Anushka took lot of physical care in adding enough of flesh into her toned body just to offer authenticity to the characterization. Despite some major flaws in her makeup, she shouldered the entire burden of taking the movie to next level just with her wonderful performance.

If ‘Bahubali’ hasn’t provided enough scope for Anushka to open herself and ‘Rudramadevi’ is again a special case, all her fire is burst out in this hefty characterization which also served a slight deal of message to viewers. Performance wise, for sure this is best from Anushka in comparison to few of her big movies releases in last couple of years.

As a producer and distributor, Dil Raju’s all round show in Tollywood is unmatchable. Producing medium budgeted films and distributing high budgeted films with strong content and enough heroism has been the successful formula followed by Dil Raju. Off late, Sukumar’s ‘Kumari 21 F’ released by Dil Raju in Nizam region is proving to be a boon for the whole team.

The youthful entertainer with some doses of adult content has connected well with youth audience. Irrespective of the centre preference, everywhere ‘Kumari 21 F’ fever has caught with the audience and ticket counters are remaining so busy for all the shows.

Speculations are still doing rounds on the next hero of Trivikram. We have heard the names of big stars such as Pawan Kalyan and others connected to Trivikram’s next film after ‘A..Aa’. And recently, it was learnt that Tamil top hero Suriya has been roped in as the hero of much awaited Trivikram’s movie.

According to a source close to hero Akhil’s camp, Trivikram may direct the newborn star’s second venture. Long ago, producer DVV Danayya gave advance to Trivikram to make a movie with the director. Danayya also wants to produce a movie with Akhil as the hero. And now, the producer is thinking about making a film in the combo of Akhil and Trivikram.

Although Akhil’s camp is confident of Trivikram’s project, it is highly doubtful the director to commit the project as numerous projects appear to have been lined up for the director at the moment. To clear the airs, Trivikram needs to break the ice.
