Absolutely low turnout of audiences at theatres screening Kayan Ram’s latest release on the first day proves that the Sher is a big flop. His success ratio has come down a bit.

After scoring a big hit with Pataas this year, Kalyan Ram did big folly by releasing this film say, trade analysts as this movie reeked of oldness in every scene.

Trade pundits in Tollywood also opined that Kalyan Ram could only deliver a hit with his own production. The latest release Sher has affirmed their belief with the movie turning out to be huge disaster.

Released on Friday, Sher is produced by Komara Venkatesh and Kalyan Ram has restricted himself playing the lead hero role, not involving in production.

Be it his first big hit Atanokkade or recent blockbuster Pataas, he succeeded as hero in films that he produced himself on NTR Arts banner. Hence he might have to produce all his movies that he stars in or involve in production closely.

Sher received unanimous negative reviews and the film tanked at the box-office without a trace.

No Buildings… Where Will AP Govt Run Offices?

The employees of the Secretariat and various other offices are concerned about the new orders from the Andhra Pradesh government. They are concerned about the working conditions as there are no office buildings till now.

Though it has been 16 months since the government has been in power and though it was known all along that the employees would be asked to shift within a short time, the Andhra Pradesh government hasn’t build or leased any office complexes till now.

Since there is 10 years time, they are wondering as to why the government is in a hurry to speed up the process and are concerned about the high rents in Vijayawada right now.

Also, since the rates have become steep, they are worried about the government renting places for temporary offices and are also demanding for special accommodation for their stay there.

While the ministers and top officials can afford high rents, the situation is bleak for middle and lower rank officials as huge rents will mean a big dent in their expenses.

The least the government can do is to rent at least a few blocks and then request the 20,000 odd officials to come along.

Allu Arjun ‘Paid Fans’ Hungama?

Allu Arjun is one of the top heroes in Telugu cinema industry now. No doubts about his star status and increasing popularity by the day. He is supported by Mega fans and also earned few fans on his own.

However Allu Arjun fans were never seen going berserk at audio launches and other public functions. Surprisingly a handful of Allu Arjun fans came to ‘Kumari 21 F’ Audio Launch in ‘AA’ T shirts and made lot of noise.

They started chanting Bunny’s name and didn’t allow any other guests and unit members to speak at the audio launch.

We usually see this from Pawan Kalyan fanatics who were recently scolded by a frustrated Nagababu who was fed up of this nonsense.

Pawan Kalyan’s fans hungama was never staged though. But Allu Arjun chants clearly indicated that it was staged by someone to impress the Stylish star.

Kumari 21 F audio launch was streamed online too. Not many have shown interest to watch this event despite knowing that Allu Arjun is the chief guest for the event.

Hardly two hundred members were seen ‘watching’ the event while Bunny is present at the event. Generally more than five thousand people watch the audio launch events when stars like Pawan Kalyan and Mahesh Babu attends.

If Allu Arjun fans are such crazy about their star we would have seen at least a thousand people watching the event online. This ‘staged hungama’ of Bunny fans is being laughed off by Mega fans too.

Allu Arjun doesn’t need such poor stunts to prove his gaining popularity. Instead of discouraging this trend immediately, Allu Arjun said that he liked the chants of his fans although they were interrupting other speakers.

Silly, isn’t it? Is Bunny expecting Nagababu to step in or what?

New Delhi: Actress Shweta Basu Prasad of “Makdee” and “Iqbal” fame, who was caught in an alleged prostitution scandal last year for the lack of work, says it’s “difficult” to survive in the entertainment industry for those who don’t have any “godfather”.

Asked whether she’s finding it difficult to survive in the industry, Shweta told IANS: “It is difficult. I don’t have any godfather or a producer father, or anybody that I know personally in the industry.”

“I’ve been an outsider, who has grown up in the industry because people have seen my work. But, yes it is slightly difficult as you have to keep reminding people and go for auditions. I know a lot of people. I keep getting auditions once in a while. But being an outsider, it’s quite tough to make a mark in the industry.”

Shweta, who has appeared in TV shows like “Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii” and “Karishma Kaa Karishma” earlier, is all set to make her return on television with horror show “Darr Sabko Lagta Hai”.

Asked about her comeback on TV, Shweta said: “Being an actress, I’m open to acting assignments. It was an exciting story and my character looked very good. The scope of performance was really high. It’s in a short film format, so it didn’t take too much time as we shot the episode in a couple of days.”

Hosted by actress Bipasha Basu, “Darr Sabko Lagta Hai” will feature 26 short films which have all been directed by different directors. Shweta will be seen in the “Hostel” episode of the show, which will be aired on Sunday on &TV.

“I’m playing the role of Anjali in ‘Hostel’. She comes from another city for her education and lives in this hostel, which actually is a haunted building,” she said, adding that she finds it good to do horror.

“It’s very interesting. I love reading horror books and watching horror films a lot,” Shweta said.

Has TV evolved as a medium of entertainment?

Shweta said: “I don’t know how much things have changed. I don’t watch television much. When I did last TV show, I was 11 years old. I’m not mature enough to say how has it transformed or anything, but it’s not a comeback or so for me.”

“Being actors, one should be open to doing any medium — whether it is films, TV, theatre, ads or others.”

Kalyan Ram Nandamuri’s latest film Sher failed to grab the attention of film lovers right from the first show. In spite of scoring huge hit with his previous film, Kalyan Ram failed to generate interest on his new release.

Sher directed by Mallikarjun had a disastrous opening day at the box office and the collections on second day are even worse.

Although this film is not making much buzz at the ticket window, it has caught the attention of gossip circles with a controversial dialog.

In one scene a comedian says “Saha Jeevanam chesi kooda hand istunna ee trend lo, hand chusi love cheyadam enti?” to the heroine. Those who have seen the film are stressing on this dialog that it is surely directed at Pawan Kalyan!

Pawan Kalyan who was in live in relationship with Renu Desai for many years finally married her because of the pressure from media and political circles during PRP days. However he divorced her soon after that to marry a foreigner.

In fact Saha Jeevanam word became popular among Telugus because of Pawan Kalyan. Don’t know if the writer of Sher took a dig at the power star or just pointing out at the latest trend.
