Kalyan Ram Not Hopeful Of His Own Film?
Nandamuri Kalyan Ram is not only a successful hero but also a daring producer who produced movies with novel story lines. As actor and producer, he scored his career’s best hit with Pataas this year.
When a hero delivers big hit, naturally the trade and audiences look out for next release with lot of enthusiasm and producers of that movie bombard the media with lot of publicity material and promotional activity. Strangely, all this is missing for Kalyan Ram’s Sher that is releasing tomorrow.
Although Kalyan Ram gave interviews to news dailies today, he is not showing much interest on the film.
Insiders say, Kalyan Ram is not really hopeful of this movie that he reportedly did this film as an obligation to his longtime friend director Malli.

Reverse Case Of Director
Hyderabad: Tollywood industry is a place for hits and failure is not taken very well. So the very people who would run after an artiste or technician when they are hit, don’t care for them when they give a flop.Usually depending on the success curve of a person, he or she is sought after. If things go on well, then they are paid in lakhs and crores.
But if the success ratio goes down and films begin to flop, then they are avoided like plague. Well, so is the case with a once-upon-a-time hit director. There was a time when he had hits to his credit.
But now, he has two duds in his account and that has really affected his standing in the industry.
Apparently, some producers have given him advance in the past and he is said to be chasing them to make a film.
However, the producers are not keen on doing a film with him and they are avoiding him saying that it is tough to get a hero as all of them tight schedules.
Well, that’s what happens when flops happen in the industry and the director’s case is no different.
Brewing Discontent In Rest Of Andhra
One mistake Andhra people did was to develop Hyderabad solely at the expense of the rest of the state. This made an out-of-work politician exploit the situation and realize his dream of becoming Chief Minister. One would have thought that following the trauma of partition, the Andhra leaders would not repeat our earlier mistake and develop the new Andhra in a proportional manner. But sadly, we seem to be mistaken in our assumptions!
The entire team of Chandrababu Naidu & Co seems to be obsessed solely with Amaravathi. Already, people from Rayalaseema and North Andhra are voicing their discontent on the location of the new capital and how they are being neglected yet again when it comes to development. Their arguments are not without merit.
As of now, the general perception is that Amaravathi would benefit only a particular community to which Chandrababu Naidu also belongs. It is indeed a bit of a surprise because Chandrababu also hails from Rayalaseema and one would expect him to give due consideration to Rayalaseema and North Andhra too.
But this is a classic case where the CM seems to be placing the interests of his own community over that of the region he hails from. The CM should realize that he has been elected by the whole of AP; as such, he should be bothered about the welfare of all citizens and regions of AP and not that of his own community alone.
It is indeed ironical that a demand for a separate Rayalaseema is slowly gaining momentum, especially when one considers the fact that the last two decades have seen a person from Rayalaseema in the CM’s chair.
Multi-Starrer Film? No Clue For Kalyan
Since the new age has seen Mahesh Babu and Venkatesh joining hands for “Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu”, and Akkineni heroes coming up with “Manam”, audiences are expecting even other movie families to come up with similar multi-starrer.
Provided with the fact that both the brothers are very caring and affectionate towards each other, Nandamuri fans are expecting one such flick from Jr NTR and Kalyan Ram. Though the elder brother confirmed that he will produce a film for Jr NTR, fans are waiting to see them together on screen.
Recently rumours have started doing rounds that both Kalyan Ram and Jr NTR have liked a script, in which they will be seen as brothers only. Also it is publicised that Tarak asked various star writers to come up with other ideas for that multi-starrer project.
Sharing his thoughts the other day, Kalyan Ram said, “We haven’t thought about doing any such multi-starrer. Me and NTR together on screen? We’ve not even discussed. All those things you heard are mere speculations”. That makes Nandamuri fans wait for longer, as this multi-starrer is not going to happen any sooner.

The high budgeted socio fantasy flick shot on unimaginable scale for a debutant hero has become prestigious project for entire Tollywood. In fact, producers Nithin and Sudhakar Reddy contemplated ‘Akhil’ release strategy for Dasara but could not meet the deadline due to exhaustive post production VFX works.
After few re-edits, they are soon to have revised ‘Akhil’ version on hand and November 11 is the final date, says the production source. Chiru Is Not A Megastar Anymore
Highly regarded as a legendary director in Tollywood, K Vishwanath made a couple of classics, Swayamkrushi and Apadbhandavudu which got Nandi Awards for Megastar Chiranjeevi. Now, the soft-spoken director has made a few striking comments on Chiru just as the Megastar is gearing up for his most awaited comeback film.
In a recent media interaction, K Vishwanath said that Chiru is no longer a Megastar and that he lost his loyal fanbase by entering politics. Vishwanath further said that it would be difficult for Chiru to regain his solid fanbase by acting in mass films. The director then advised Chiru to consider the 150th film as his first film and reclaim the lost fanbase with his comeback film.
While these comments are indeed unexpected from K Vishwanath, the senior director concluded saying that these are only his personal views. Incidentally, Megastar’s 4-minute special appearance in his son Ram Charan’s Bruce Lee did wonders for the film and his cameo was one of the highlights in the film which thrilled the Mega fans.
Sr Heroine Splits From 10th Boy Friend
Of course, being a 39 year old unmarried heroine, surely she would be still cynosure of many eyes. For that slim and hot looks, former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen is a hot siren. Buzz is that she got split from her 10th boy friend too.
From last 1 year or so, famous hotelier Ritik Bhasin is said to be dating Sushmita and this relation went for a toss as per reports. The two called it quits after some frequent disputes over some personal affairs. But what stunned many is that, Ritik happens to be Sushmita’s 10th boyfriend.
Earlier she has dated the likes of director Vikram Bhatt, hotelier Sanjay Narang, Hotmail CEO Sabeer Bhatia, hero Randeep Hooda, businessman Imtiaz Khatri, director Manav Menon, Bunty Sachdeva, Mudassar Aziz and cricketer Wasim Akram. That makes the total list ‘ten’, which is not a big shock when compared with Hollywood hotties who marry and divorce their husbands at the same speed.
Sushmita won Miss Universe crown in 1994 and later became a heroine. Though she scored hits in late 90s and early 2000s, later everything collapsed. Except some occasional appearances, she’s not seen much in movies these days.
Kanche Magic To Repeat Next Year?
Young mega hero Varun Tej is getting continuous appreciations from film biggies and regular movie goers for choosing thought provoking film like Kanche and also for his performance in the movie. Unfortunately, due to short of commercial elements, Kanche is ending as an average grosser. Interestingly, Varun Tej is showing keen interest to team up once again with the non-commercial director Krish for a new movie.
Most of Krish films were critically acclaimed, but were commercially failures. Irrespective of results, Krish is keen on making only message-oriented flicks. The director is hoping to make films with stars like Mahesh Babu and Ram Charan. Since both the stars are busy with other ventures, he has approached Varun once again with a fresh subject for which the young hero has given nod. If things go well, the new movie will start rolling sometime next year.
Varun Tej is presently working for Maa Amma Mahalakshmi (tentative title) in Puri Jagannath’s direction. The actor has also accepted to work with Tagore Madhu who introduced him with Mukunda. Varun Tej had condemned the reports of Veeru Potla directing him in Madhu’s production venture.
It is yet to be known whether Krish’s next with Varun Tej will be a social subject or a commercial one.
