Most disasters these days are happening due to excessive runtime of movies. From “Kick2” to “Shivam”, the situation is pretty same. Though makers know that certain parts of their film’s content is highly boring, they have went ahead releasing the film with a lengthy run time. After the release, as the makers tried to catch leaves after fire, what happens other than hands getting burned?

Going by the present trend, we can’t say that a lengthy run-time is completely bad and completely good. Srimanthudu had 160 minutes runtime while Shivam has 168 minutes. While people accepted Mahesh’s movie, Ram’s movie went through a chopping of 20 minutes and still can’t survive at box office.

Coming to October 9th release Rudhramadevi, the movie’s runtime is 158 minutes (2 hours 38 minutes) and it will have a slick narration of history, says Gunasekhar. Will this lengthy runtime becomes a boon or bane is something we can’t predict, but the chances are 50:50.

Being a historical story, people will love to watch for 3 hours if the scenes are engaging and narrative holds the momentum. So, it depends on what Gunasekhar has done. October 9th, come!!

This time trade-walas are not sitting quiet when it comes to Ram Charan’s “Bruce Lee”. Despite having an industry hit and couple of 50+ crore ‘share’ getters to his credit, it’s quite surprising that Mega Powerstar never reached the mighty ‘One Million Dollars’ mark at USA box office. This time, equations are changed altogether.

While Mahesh Babu is one and only numero uno star in Overseas, his films like Aagadu released in 150+ screens while Srimanthudu took 190+ screens on release day. But now, Ram Charan’s “Bruce Lee” is getting released in 220+ screens in USA alone. Impressive trailers combined with Sreenu Vaitla’s craze are now pushing overseas distributors to release the movie in hefty theatres.

Overall release count other than India might touch nearly 350+ screens for this film. That makes sure, if the film gets above-average marks, then 1 million dollars will walk into kitty quite smoothly.

Probably Charan’s comedy timing and some family sentiment scenes might work in favour of “Bruce Lee” now. Earlier, all of Charan’s films have loads of mass elements that made no appeal to NRI Telugu community. Let’s see what happens.

It doesn’t get any bizarre than this. Bollywood’s superstar Salman Khan has been robbed by four ‘female fans’ at a popular night club in Bandra, Mumbai last weekend. As per the reports, Salman was approached by four young girls, who introduced themselves as his ‘fans’. Amused by their enthusiasm, Salman engrossed himself in a frenzied talk with them for a while.

Minutes later, Salman realized that all his belongings, which he had kept on a nearby table, were missing. Salman immediately raised  an alarm. But even before the security people entered the scene, the girls whisked away from the club with Salman’s wallet, pendant and the sunglasses.

The club security management suggested Salman to file a police complaint. However, the kindhearted Bajarangi Bhaijaan star refused to approach cops keeping the young girls reputation in mind, but instead beefed up his security and recruited extra security guards.

Bollywood leading actress Kareena Kapoor is selective of her films. The starlet who is basking on the success of Bajrangi Bhaijaan will next be seen in critically acclaimed director R Balki helming Ki and Ka. Arjun Kapoor is male lead in the romantic comedy-drama film. When it has become a common scenario in Bollywood, Kareena Kapoor rejected to act in lip-lock and intimate scenes in the film.

In fact, the film Ki and Ka has such scenes. But, when the director-producer R Balki has asked Kareena to act in an intimate scene, she refused doing so. That was the shocking moment for the director who thought those were the selling material for the film.

Actually, lip kiss scenes were not new to Kareena Kapoor who was seen in hot and romantic scenes in her previous films. But, from past few years, she is even refusing film offers, but not accepting to go bold. In fact, post marriage with Saif Ali Khan, Kareena is only picking decent and meaningful roles. More importantly, Arjun Kapoor is very much younger to Kareena, which might be the other reason.

It is to be seen whether the filmmakers will convince Kareena to act in lip kiss scenes or remove the intimate scenes from his script!

Promotions play key role in any film clicking at box office. A medium range film can become a super hit because of the promotions. Even for Academy Awards, promotions do major impact. And for high budget entertainers like Baahubali, massive publicity is obligatory.

Ace director SS Rajamouli and his team have promoted Baahubali more than a month days. They went places to endorse the magnum opus and we know what achievements the film has accomplished in less than 100 days.Now, Rajamouli is not settled to work on Baahubali. Earlier, reports stated that, Rajamouli would start Baahubali 2 shooting in November and will release the film in the mid of 2016.

Apparently, rather start working on the second installment, Rajamouli is still making efforts to release the first part internationally. The film’s China and Japan rights were already sold and negotiations are going on for other territories.

Prominently, Rajamouli will also take part in promotional events of Baahubali in other countries. The cast and crew members will also join him. Baahubali has already minted over Rs 650 crores worldwide and with international release, the film is expected to produce extra bucks for the makers. Hence, Baahubali release is now pushed to end of 2016.

Started off as a child actor with Baalala Ramayanam, NTR then turned hero with a romantic flick titled Ninnu Chudalani, which ran to average response. However, NTR’s stardom rose to several heights with Rajamouli’s first film, Student No 1. Soon, with a series of blockbusters and explosive performances, NTR earned the Young Tiger title from fans.

But now, NTR got a new title from his close pal and one of the most happening music directors of the present time, Devi Sri Prasad. During the teaser launch of Kumari 21F, DSP surprised everyone as headdressed NTR as ‘Telugu Thalaiva’. Now, only the biggest star in the country, Superstar Rajinikanth, is called by his fans with the title Thalaiva’.

While DSP might have addressed NTR as Telugu Thalaiva’ out of his love and admiration for his Adurs and Nannaku Prematho star, even NTR fans are somewhat puzzled whether to call NTR with the usual Young Tiger or the new ‘Telugu Thalaiva’. Nevertheless, Thalaiva’ has more a Tamil flavor than Telugu.

After ages, young tiger NTR is coming to entertain us for Sankranthi festival. His 25th film Nannaku Prematho in Sukumar’s direction will arrive to theaters on January 8th, 2016. Apparently, NTR would solely enjoy the eve, since no big film is hitting the screens during the time. Buzz is that Balakrishna’s Dictator supposed for the festival, would postpone to February. Reason for the rumored postponement is not yet known.

Usually, star heroes will look for festival seasons such as Dasara and Sankranthi to release their films, since huge collections are assured owing to long holidays. Nonetheless, NTR didn’t follow the strategy for his last few outings and missed the opportunity to cash on the festival holidays. But, this time for Nannaku Prematho, he is implementing right tactics.

Other stars like Pawan Kalyan, Mahesh Babu, Ram Charan and Allu Arjun are working for their respective films which are aimed for different seasons, other than Sankranthi. Charan’s Bruce Lee is releasing for Dasara and his next- Thani Oruvan remake to start rolling sometime this year may release in summer.

Pawan Kalyan Sardaar Gabbar Singh was also initially planned for Sankranthi, but delay in production work caused postponement in release. Allu Arjun’s Sarainodu is likely in February and Mahesh Babu’s Brahmotsavam will only see lights in summer.

So, NTR’s Nannaku Prematho is sure to rake record openings and will solely enjoy at the box office until release of other biggie. This happens, only if Dictator gets postponed.

• If things go well, young hero Raj Tarun will next work with veteran filmmaker Vamsi for Ladies Tailor 2. The energetic hero will okay the project if and only if Vamsi impresses him with hilarious screenplay. Very few people know that, Raj Tarun is well trained in story, screenplay and dialogues writing at Nagarjuna’s AISFM institute. So, he is selecting winning stories for his films.

  Taking his interest to next level, Raj Tarun who is presently in Bangkok is penning a script for hero Sunil. It is heard that, he is cooking up an entertaining subject and will narrate it to Sunil after completing the work. However, it is not known yet whether Raj Tarun is interested in wielding phone or just offer the script to Sunil.

  Raj Tarun emerged as junior Ravi Teja for small time producers. The actor, who is enjoying the consecutive hits of Uyyala Jampala and Cinema Chupista Mama, has recently wrapped up Kumari 21F, for which popular director Sukumar has penned story, screenplay apart from co-producing the movie. Directed by newcomer Palnati Surya Pratap, the romantic comedy is due for release in November. Great going Raj!
