Putting months of speculations to rest, Mega Power Star Ram Charan has stated that works related to his dad-Mega Star Chiranjeevi’s 150th film are happening at blitzkrieg speed. Setting the record straight, Charan said that the movie will roll onto floors soon after Sankranthi. This is not all.

Charan made it clear that there are no budget constraints for Chiranjeevi’s comeback film and he indicated that budget is ‘unlimited’. However, he stressed that his dad Chiranjeevi and he respect money. “There is no limit for budget for dad’s 150th film. Without compromising, we’ll go all out to make the movie. At the same time we respect money,” said Ram Charan.

He added that movie will be an out-and-out commercial entertainer laced with social message like Chiru’s previous films. “It’s going to be complete package with good dose of entertainment. But it will also have a good message. Be it Shankar Dada or Stalin or Tagore, dad’s films have a social message.

Of course, we’re not going to miss it in his comeback film,” he added. Charan said that he would love to dance with Chiru in this film produced by himself under Konidela Production House.

It’s learnt that director VV Vinayak would wield the megaphone for the much-anticipated movie. Buzz is that the movie would be Telugu remake of Tamil super hit Kaththi. We hear that original director AR Murugadoss will pen screenplay for the remake and he’s fine tuning the script to suit the Telugu audiences. If all goes well, the movie will go onto floors after Sankranthi.

Even Bollywood top director Rohit Shetty is no different. But for his next, instead of becoming co-producer by signing deal of sharing percentage from the profits, he is charging a whooping amount.

The producer of Rohit Shetty’s next directorial venture of Shahrukh Khan’s ‘Dilwale’ Sangeeta Ahir is ready to dole out an amount of Rs.25 Crore as Rohit’s remuneration to remake the super hit Tamil comedy film ‘Soodu Kavvam’ in Hindi. He is one director who has 9 super hit movies and only two flops in the initial stages of his career.

Besides being a successful director, Rohit Shetty is doing great on television with ‘Khatron Ki Khiladi’ adventurous reality show. He has become a brand now. And people recognise his movies by his name and hence such big remuneration for the film maker who is known to make only super hit films.

‘Baahubali was such a film, keeping aside their egos, the makers have requested Mahesh to push Srimanthudu’s release ahead and the same happened for Mahesh even. We’ve called Ravi Teja and asked him to come a bit late after Srimanthudu. There is an unseen agreement between us,’ says Ram Charan.

Ram Charan said the above lines in the context of clash of ‘Rudramadevi’ and ‘AKHIL’ with his ‘Bruce Lee’. While the makers of ‘Bruce Lee’ have announced in the beginning itself that they are going to come in the second week of October, it is ‘Akhil’ and ‘Rudramadevi’ who didn’t stick to the understanding big films have with each other and hence the clash opines Charan.

He further takes the example of Mahesh Aagadu, for which his film was released two weeks late upon the request of Mahesh’s film makers. Charan strongly states, ‘But this time, the clash is happening and there is a rush for Dasara holiday season spot. Hereafter, this will not happen and everyone has to stick to the unseen rules.’

Yevade Subramanyam Makers To Enter Into Wedlock

Film industry is a place where it takes no time for sparks to erupt between like-minded opposite sexes. In yet another example, a young Tollywood couple, producer Priyanka Dutt and the debut director Nag Ashwin, will be getting married soon.

The young couple first made an acclaimed short film titled Yadon ki Baarat, which got some decent success at film festivals. Later, they went on to make Yevade Subramanyam which was released this summer and was appreciated for its fresh content.

In the process, the couple fell in love with each other and what started off as friendship slowly blossomed into deep love. Confirming his relationship with Priyanka Dutt, Nag Ashwin said that he gives total credit to Priyanka, who took the initiative to take their friendship to the next level.

Nag Ashwin belongs to a respectable doctors’ family in town while Priyanka Dutt is the daughter of veteran producer Ashwini Dutt. Both the families are positive about their marriage and the couple is looking for the right date for their engagement and the wedding.

Commemorating the 2nd death anniversary of the popular character artiste Real Star Srihari, a statue of Srihari will be unveiled this morning in Balanagar, Hyderabad. Senior director and former central minister Dasari Narayana Rao will unveil his favorite disciple’s statue.

Srihari was at the peak of his career when he suddenly succumbed to a serious liver ailment. The Real Star was shooting for Prabhu Deva’s Bollywood film Rambo Rajkumar in Mumbai, where he died at a hospital on 9th October 2013.

Several Tollywood celebrities and noted politicians from Telangana will be attending the statue unveiling ceremony today. A true Real Star, Srihari was also known for his generous social service and charity works. Srihari is survived by his wife and former actress ‘Disco’ Santhi and two sons.

Gunasekhar’s 80 crore historic magnum opus Rudhramadevi was off to a jittery start, with critics and normal moviegoers giving it mixed reviews. However, the film’s box-office performance in the first two days tells a different story altogether.

Rudhramadevi did a sensational pre-release business of close to 58 crore including all languages. At such a huge stake, the film needs to perform phenomenally at the box-office to recover the investments. Rudhramadevi’s first day collections exceeded all expectations and the day one share collected was of 9.17 crore in Telugu states and nearly $300,000 in the US.

The flying start on the opening day ensured a decent second day, as the film ended up collecting close to 4.45 crore share in Telugu states and $203,000 in the overseas areas. Even today, all the shows are declared advance housefulls and the final numbers are expected to be huge. Monday being the Columbus Day holiday in the US, Rudhramadevi has even more advantage at the box-office.

Now, Rudhramadevi’s box-office performance is much similar to that of Baahubali, which too was released to disappointing mouth talk and average reviews. However, Baahubali went on to become the country’s biggest hit.

While the hype surrounding Rudhramadevi is not as big as Baahubali, Rudhramadevi too looks all set to end up as a profitable venture, if it continues its steam until Bruce Lee releases.

The shooting of Nikhil’s next, Shankarabharanam is now complete. The audio release event of the movie will happen this month itself and the movie is planned in November as Diwali Special. The theatrical trailer of the film is being attached with the prints of Ram Charan’s Bruce Lee.

Kona Venkat has given story and screenplay to Nikhil’s next, Shankarabharanam. The movie is a crime comedy with a Bihar backdrop. The makers have shot the movie in very tough locales of Bihar and Pune. Some scenes are also canned in USA.

Nanditha is playing the female lead in the film in which Anjali is doing a special character. Apart from that, the film has a huge star cast with many popular actors. A new comer, Uday Nandanavanam is directing the film. Nikhil is on a high with back to back hits after Swamy Ra Ra and Karthikeya.

Gunasekhar’s Rudhramadevi has collected a whopping 4.3 Crore share on its second day which is superb for the talk and reviews it is carrying. The movie is particularly strong in Nizam where it registered impressive numbers on the day-2 too.

However the bandh effect had killed the collections to some extent in Nizam as noon shows were cancelled in many places. The movie is expected to put up similar performance on Sunday too. Here is the breakup of Rudhramadevi two days collections:
