Come On Stars, It’s Time to Change
In a recent interview, Superstar Mahesh Babu was asked who all from the industry congratulated him on the success of his latest release, Srimanthudu. “Nobody, Except Charan,” pat came the reply from Mahesh. While the Superstar’s revelation did surprise everyone, it even surprised Mahesh himself, who continued saying, “Was a little surprised, but it’s not a big deal.”
While it is extremely generous and appreciative of Ram Charan, one of the leading stars of Tollywood, to wish his senior colleague, one can’t help but wonder what’s wrong with the rest of the stars in Tollywood. While all our star actors, directors, heroines and even producers and technicians could be busy with their respective films, all it would hardly take is a minute or two to make a phone call or tweet on social media, appreciating the films or its stars in person and in public.
A similar case happened with India’s biggest film ever, Baahubali. While Baahubali’s success moved so many biggest stars in India like Amitabh, Shah Rukh Khan, Rajinikanth, Chiru, Nagarjuna and many others who openly praised the film, most of our very own Tollywood stars remained silent without uttering even a word of praise about the film in open. This even led Tollywood fans to gossip if these stars are jealous of the films’ success.
With the back to blockbusters of Baahubali and Srimanthudu, entire nation started to take Tollywood more seriously, and in these crucial times of positive change, it is only healthy for our Tollywood stars to break shackles and congratulate their fellow stars’ achievements. After all, what goes around comes around, isn’t it.
‘Kalakeya’ Prabhakar Turns A Celebrity In North
After the grand success of Baahubali across India, all the major stars of the film have become extremely popular in North India. Already, Prabhas has signed a lucrative ad deal with a reputed national automobile company and several more brands are vying for his association. Rana too has been in talks with a few Bollywood directors and so is Tamannaah. We now have a surprise addition to this list, Prabhakar, the ferocious actor who terrified everyone as the Kalakeya Warlord.
As per the latest revelations, Prabhakar’s popularity across several areas in North India is so huge that an MLA from Pune had invited him as a chief guest for the Dahi Handi event during the recently concluded Janmashtami celebrations. Prabhakar is thrilled with the response he got as he saw youngsters cheering for him, dancing and whistling on seeing him. Not stopping here, Prabhakar has also been invited as a chief guest for the upcoming Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations in several areas in North India, including oagain ne in Pune.
In Baahubali, Prabhakar as Kalakeya Warlord owned the second half with his menacing act and a disgusting getup and of course, the Kiliki dialogues. Prabhakar also got to counter both Baahubali and Bhalalladeva towards the climax of the film that gave an emotional high to the audiences. The actor is currently busy shooting for a handful of films in Telugu and even in Kannada.
Chiru, Pawan Wishing For The Same
Though the mega brothers Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan follow their own ways, they have many similarities which have been interesting. Both are interested in doing social service and are enthusiastic to serve people through politics. While Chiranjeevi is representing Congress Party in Andhra Pradesh, Pawan Kalyan floated Jana Sena Party to enter direct politics in 2019. On top of everything, these mega brothers have immense fans following in masses than any other star in Tollywood.
Curiously, both the mega brothers are wishing for same kind of subjects. It may be recalled that, Chiranjeevi is willing to play a patriotic role such as Bhagat Singh and Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy in one of his future ventures. Likewise, Pawan Kalyan is also waiting for a patriotic subject for his film with producer Dil Raju. The star producer recently registered the title ‘Jana Gana Mana’ to make a patriotic film with the power star.
In fact, Dil Raju who is a big fan of Pawan Kalyan wants to make a massive film with heavy budget. On the flip side, Pawan Kalyan wants the film to be released one year prior to 2019 elections.Interim, Pawan Kalyan is working for Sardaar Gabbar Singh, while Chiranjeevi is making comeback into films with son Ram Charan’s Bruce Lee.
