Megastar Chiranjeevi and Lion Balakrishna are contemporaries and we have seen them taking on each other in fierece battles at the box office. And now both the actors may resume the rivalry once again.

There are chances of Balayya’s 99th film and Chiranjeevi’s 150th film clashing at the box office. Both the films are yet to take off. Balayya’s film, Dictator under the direction of Srivas will begin at least 3 months ahead of Chiranjeevi’s 150th film, Auto Jaani and will be ready for Sankranthi release.

At the same time, Puri is a master in completing films in quick time and so both the films will release for Sankranthi unless one of them back steps. However things have changed drastically since their times.

Earlier two or three films can release at a time and still manage to do well. However these days, releasing in maximum number of theaters and getting as many as openings is important and so the clash is not good for both the films.

Superstar Mahesh Babu’s latest offering, Srimanthudu (Working Title) is currently in its last leg of its shoot. The entire shooting part of the film will be completed by Mid-June. Currently a song is being shot on Mahesh and Shruti Hassan in Ramoji Film City.

They wanted it to be ready by June-end since they want to release it on July 17th in case Baahubali is postponed. The title announcement and the release of the first look posters and teaser will take place on 31st of this month on the occasion of Superstar Krishna’s Birthday.

Koratala Siva had to struggle a lot to take his second film on to sets even after delivering a blockbuster like Mirchi with his first. Mahesh Babu is also raring to go at the box office especially after those back to back failures with 1-Nenokkadine and Aagadu in 2014.

Shruti Hassan is romancing Mahesh Babu in this film, she was last seen shaking her booty for an item song in Aagadu.

We have seen Lakshmi Manchu recently crooning for her film, Dongaata. And now it is the turn of Comedian Ali. He will be crooning a song in the film starring Tippu fame Satya Karthik under the direction of Chunia. The song was recently recorded and they say it came out really well.

Chunia is a long time associate of Nagarjuna and she previously worked in Annapurna Studios. Nagarjuna recently launched the film. The Film is produced on Ayan Creations banner and has Senior Naresh, Indraja playing the key roles.

Anup Rubens is the music director and he reportedly gave a superb tune for the song. The shooting of the film is progressing at brisk pace.

SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus, Baahubali will reportedly run on the same color tone both in the first and second part. Buzz is that it would have a certain blue tinge which will be a new experience to Indian films. They say usually this kind of Single colour tones will be used in Hollywood movies.

And it will have stunning impact when you see the battle sequences onscreen. It is known that the first part of the film is stated for July 10th release. Baahubali is the biggest budget movie ever made on Telugu Screen. Three years of hard work had gone in to the project.

Prabhas had pinned high hopes on the film to catapult him to the next level. The movie is already creating never before seen records in Telugu film trade.

Rumours in Kollywood suggest that Sweety Beauty Anushka’s marriage is postponed once again. The actress gave many indications that she will be marrying later this year. However they say it is not going to happen now as she suffered a breakup.

It is said that Anushka is getting along with a person for the last one year. They planned to get married later this year. However some misunderstandings forced their separation and Anushka is single once again.

Anushka’s parents were keen to marry her off this year but she reportedly told a big No after this. She currently has Size Zero and Baahubali-2 to complete later this year. She has two big releases – Rudramma Devi and Baahubali very soon!

In the first place, already outsiders believe that Tollywood has shifted into two film industries. One that is dominated by producers and directors from Andhra and with Andhra roots, while other one is newly formed Telangana based film unions and all. Apart from this division, it now seems like Telugu industry is getting split into two classes, the ultra-rich producer class and other small producers.

By now it became quite open that a faction of producers led by biggies like Dil Raju and others have opted to cut advertisements to all media houses except two. This is being projected as a cost-cutting move by those producers, but others have criticised every bit of this decision. After Producers Council stated that they are not supporting this group, veteran stars like Nagarjuna and Mohan Babu too termed this as a ridiculous move.

And recently Posani has fired on big producers for showcasing their mighty power on media though they don’t pay their artistes on time and properly. Despite the criticism and lack of support from biggies, this newly formed producers group is going hammer and tongs in implementing their decision.

All these happenings are suggesting of a possible split in Tollywood with people taking sides. If we wear the shoes of big producers, it sounds right to cut advertisements which are costing them nearly 30-45 lakhs for a flick. For small budgeted movie makers, it’s this budget that helps them take people to theatres. So, both sides of coin make sense. However, egos between celebs are finding it difficult to chalk out a solution for this artificial crisis.

Not the full film yet, but Baahubali – The Beginning’s theatrical trailer has been censored with U/A certification by the regional censor board. The duration of the trailer is 2:05 seconds and the censor was done yesterday. The theatrical trailer will be unleashed during the film’s audio launch event which will take place on 31st May.

With the theatrical trailer being awarded UA certificate, we can expect the same for the final film, which will let the family audiences throng to the theaters and that can be a huge advantage at the box office. The film’s war episodes are expected to be a thrilling experience for the audiences. Baahubali – The Beginning will release worldwide on 10th July.
