Lawerence to make up for Ganga delay
All the hurdles before the release of Ganga seem to be slowly clearing up. We are said that the movie will be releasing on April 30th or May 1st through Dil Raju who will be taking over the project. On the other side, Lawerence came up with an idea to revive the hype on the film.
He will be adding a new promotional song to the film in Telugu and that will kick start the movie promotions here afresh. Tapsee the female lead in the film had revealed this news in her Twitter account.
“And when I thought my struggle in Kanchana2 is over, master decide to shoot a promo song to make up for the loss of no dancing song for me”. The shooting may commence soon and the song will definitely boost up the craze for the film among the audiences. On the other side, the Tamil version of Ganga, Kanchana-2 is a blockbuster there.
The movie is breaking all the records for mid-range budget films. Experts are of the opinion that the movie is on its way to become the biggest hit of Kollywood this year in terms of Return on Investment.
Raghavendra Rao in TTD Board
Veteran Telugu film director K.Raghavendra Rao is inducted in to Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam Board by the Andhra Pradesh state government. Raghavendra Rao is said to be a big devotee of Lord Venkateswara Swamy and is longing to be in the board for a long time.
He is a Telugu Desam Party sympathasizer for a long time and worked for the party behind the screens for many years. His sincerity is finally rewarded by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. The tenure of the 16 members board will be of two years.
Several celebrities across the country take it very prestigious to get nominated for this board. Raghavendra Rao, popularly known as Darshakendra has garnered seven state Nandi Awards, three Filmfare Awards South, and two CineMAA Awards till date.
He has directed films across multiple genres like romantic comedy, fantasy, melodrama, action and romance films. His devotional films Annamayya, Sriramadasu, Shirdi Sai are regarded as Classics.
Will TDP Swallow Jana Sena ?
This time there has been an unusual invite extended to power star Pawan Kalyan, who is also the chief of Jana Sena party, for all three days of the festival or atleast on the last day of festival, in case he is unable to take some time off from his schedule. This is the high light of Mahanadu this year.
Usually, there has never been any tradition of inviting anyone who is not from the party for this annual event but a special invite by Naidu is passing a lot of signals. Sources say that Chandrababu wants to signal that Pawan is now like family and indirectly an inseparable part of TDP, which would strengthen TDP’s chances in future too!
Hence, in a way the grapevine is that whether TDP wants to take up Jana Sena in the manner in which PRP was merged with Congress. While many dismiss this as mere speculations, there are others who say that while PRP with leaders and MLA’s could be taken, why not Jana Sena without any cadre, leaders or MLAs.
Rajamouli Goes Missing!
Maverick director SS Rajamouli used to be very active on the social network in spite of his busy schedules.
With his magnum opus Bahubali entering the last leg of post production work Rajamouli is not seen on Twitter or Facebook these days. His last tweet was posted on March 4th in which he has declared the release date of Bahubali.
Sadly Bahubali didn’t make it on time as Rajamouli said. The film is still under post production work and no one clearly knows about the exact release date yet.
Rajamouli always stays updated when it comes to watching new releases. He also shares his opinions or reviews about the films he watched. But he is so occupied with Bahubali that Rajamouli couldn’t spare time to watch other movies or tweet about them.
In fact Bahubali is a very prestigious project for Rajamouli as the film lovers across India are eagerly awaiting the release of this mega film.

Sachin, Saurav, Dravid To Guide India?
In a good strategic move, Board of Control for Cricket in India has decided to appoint the three senior stalwarts of Indian Cricket – Sachin, Sourav and Dravid as their Advisory Committee. The board has passed a resolution in the same regard at a working committee meeting held on Sunday.
BCCI is looking forward to utilize the valuable expertise of cricketing legends in all the important team related matters. This includes the selection and appointment of National Coach for Team India. So, the Advisory Board that consists of Sourav Ganguly, Rahul Dravid and Sachin Tendulkar will be deciding the fate of new coach and director in the coming days. This new step by BCCI was received very well by the former players and the fans alike.
With the services of three of the greatest cricketers at their disposal, the young team has all the chances to make it big and move forward from here. Though Ganguly’s name was heard as the prime contender for team coach to replace Duncan Fletcher, the latest move by BCCI has put an end to the speculations. After more than two years of being macho and rugged for two of the most highly anticipated films of the season, Baahubali and Rudhramadevi, Rana Daggubati has gone all sober and smarter for his debut Tamil film, a remake of Malayalam hit film Bangalore Days. The actor is currently shooting for the film in Chennai.
Posting a working still on his Facebook page, an excited Rana said, “My first film wedding”. In the film, Rana plays husband to another Telugu star Sri Divya. Rana is hoping that the film will give him a big break in Tamil. Bommarillu Bhaskar is the director and PVP Cinema is producing the film
Change in Censor Board: Good news for Tollywood
Until around 5 months ago, the entire Tollywood used to shiver whenever a film goes for censor. The prime reason behind this terror was none other than the then censor chief, Dhanalakshmi. The lady, with her strict dictatorial principles, singlehandedly cast her terror spell among even a handful of Tollywood’s senior producers.
Several Tollywood’s bigwigs like Ram Gopal Varma, C Kalyan and Mohan Babu openly criticized Dhanalkshmi’s anarchic behavior and RGV even filed a case on Dhanalakshmi. Rumours were rife that the bigwigs in the industry lobbied heavily for Dhanalakshmi’s replacement. However, Dhanalaskhmi successfully finished her tenure and stepped down from her post in December and Tollywood got a new chairman in Vijay Kumar Reddy.
During Dhanalakshmi’s time, an A or U/A certificate was mandatorily issued even for the slightest exposure by heroines, presence of item songs and occasional usage of cuss words or realistic portrayal of violence. She did not even spare a big star’s film like Mahesh Babu’s Businessman, where several thigh shots and cleavages were blurred and cuss words muted. Even though the makers of numerous films tried hard to convince and counter Dhanalakshmi’s views, they all failed miserably.
But looks like things have changed for good now. Of late, the censor board seemed to have gone softer towards items songs and excess violence. For example: in the recently released Dohchay, a hot item song was passed without much fuss and the film was given a clean U and for Temper, U/A was awarded even though the film had excess violence. This change in the censor board has been welcomed by the producers with open hands.
Unlike Dhanalakshmi’s times, the present censor board seems to have understood the perspective of a filmmaker even during the showing of killings and violence. However, the same censor board gave an A for Sai Dharam Tej’s Rey, which was understandable for the content it dealt with. Needless to say, this welcoming change in censor board is now being considered as a biggest blessing to many of our filmmakers, who can now enjoy their creative expression.
8 Crew Members of Hindi Film Died in Nepal Tragedy
While the Telugu film fraternity is devastated with the news of demise of a budding choreographer Vijay in Nepal earthquake tragedy, Bollywood film industry joined the list of victims as 8 crew members from an upcoming Hindi film said to have died in the natural calamity. According to reports, the crew members of untitled film starring Mugdha Godse fallen to the massive earthquake that claimed over 3200 lives and injured over 5000 people.
Shocked with the death of 8 crew members, 8 Crew Members of Hindi Film Died in Nepal Tragedy, Nepal Earthquake took to her micro-blogging page Twitter to mourn the death of her colleagues. Mugdha wrote, “RIP my 8 crew members, victims to force of nature #earthquake #nepal worked for my upcoming film, very very shocking and depressing…”
The earthquake was recorded as 7.9 on Richter scale and heavily damaged movable, immovable properties. It’s estimated that nearly 100 people from India were died and more than 250 are injured.
Nag’s most embarrassing moment!
The ever-green hero Akkineni Nagarjuna reveals his biggest embarrassment in functions. It happened when he was honoured with ‘Entertainment Leader of the Year’ by TV5 that gave away the Tv 5 Business Leaders Awards 2015 that held in Novotel.
Questioned about his next biggest venture after he sold out a stake of MAA shares getting a whooping amount of Rs 2500 crore, Nagarjuna said “Valuation hasn’t been done yet. If there are any Income Tax officers here, It would be a problem. No new venture as of now. If at all there is any, Its just my next movie. Wait for it!”
Being called onto stage with many adjectives, Nagarjuna said “My elder son is 27-Years-Old and My younger son is 21-Years-Old. You still use tags like ‘Manmadhudu’ while inviting me to the stage. It’s very embarrassing! Despite being associated with MAA, I was chosen for this award presented by another channel (TV5). Generally, Such things don’t happen often. I thank TV5 and accept this award with pride.”
Nagarjuna said that he was elated to be a part of today’s session where he got to meet up many personalities. He also extended his thanks to IT Minister KTR for asking him to grace occasion.
Actress Rejects Fairness Cream Endorsement Deal?
Dusky beauty Richa Chadha, known for her variety of roles in Hindi films, is said to have rejected an offer to endorse a fairness cream.
“The brand had offered the actress a whopping amount to become the face of the brand. But the actress had no qualms in turning down this offer to stick to her values,” said a source close to the actress.
Meanwhile, Richa is excited that her film “Masaan” which will be screened at the 68th Cannes International Film Festival.
