Is The Minister Threatening Capital Zone Farmers?

Share

narayana

The farmers in capital zone were one again threatened by Minister Narayana who said that if the farmers did not part with their lands amicably, then they will be taken away from them under the Land Acquisition Act.

The minister announced that the ground breaking ceremony for the new capital will be done in the first week of June and added that some farmers continued to resist giving up their lands.

He further informed that the first phase of development will be completed by 2018 and said that this was the final step in land acquisition.

He also issued a veiled threat of sorts when he pointed out that if the farmers did not give up their lands voluntarily, they would surely lose out if their lands are grabbed as per Land Acquisition Act.

The farmers who had gone to court against land acquisition must re-consider their demand, the minister said.

However, wouldn’t it be best if the minister explained as to how the farmers will stand to use if LAA is applied to them instead of giving soft threats?

Senior Actor In ‘Farmhouse’ Club

Share

Two actors Pawan Kalyan and Prakash Raj have already attracted a lot of media attention for their personal tastes.

Both Pawan Kalyan and Prakash Raj tend to relax at their farm houses when they have free time on their hands.

Senior Naresh also joins this farmhouse club. Naresh of late has been spending time at his farmhouse and successfully managed to cultivate a rich mango cop using organic and drip irrigation methods.

Although a member of the BJP, he has not been that active of late on the political front. On the career side, he is doing well as a character artiste.

Interestingly, Prakash Raj lags behind Pawan Kalyan and Senior Naresh on one count in the farmhouse club. What is that? Pawan Kalyan and Senior Naresh have been married thrice whereas Prakash Raj falls one short.

Behind The Screen: True Lies?

Both Tollywood and the Tamil industry sat up and took notice when it was announced that Vijay’s movie ‘Puli’ was being made on a budget of Rs 118 crore.

The same happened with Shankar’s ‘I’ and Ravi Kumar’s ‘Lingaa’. As soon as the budget amount is announced, the average cine goer thinks that there is something special in the project and waits for its release. But all such big movies have failed in recent times.

Cine analysts say that the reality is different. There is every possibility of these makers merely hyping their budgets just to attract media and thereby public attention.

The actual budgets for these films could easily be far lesser. But who would bother to inquire into the actual costs? And it makes sense too.

Normally, if it had been announced that ‘Puli’ was another Vijay movie being made, it would interest only the fans. But announce it as a Rs 118 crore project and it’s a whole different ball game.

Line clear for Naidu!

Chandrababu is acquiring 38000 acres of fertile agricultural land for his new capital.

One obstacle to him could have been a proposal by the Union government to fix a ceiling on the maximum amount of fertile land that can be acquired.

But the Union government has now decided to completely do away with this proposal.

There is no limit now to acquiring fertile lands by the State governments.

Under the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act 2013, states were directed to fix the cap on the total cultivable land to be acquired for any purpose.

The cap could be either at the district or the state level. Now, however, states have been told that the cap is not mandatory provided the states justify how they would make up for the productivity losses that the loss of fertile land would result in.

this means that in the case of Tulluru for example, all that Naidu has to do is calculate the current revenue from the 38000 acres and then inform the Center on alternate mechanisms to generate that revenue.

Not The Right Thing To Do!

Recently, Modi made a speech to Indian diaspora at Canada which was attended by the Canadian Prime Minister and his wife.

Modi’s objective was to attract investments to India as part of his ‘Make In India’ campaign.

However, instead of listing out the benefits of doing business in India, Modi targeted the UPA on foreign soil. “The UPA has destroyed the nation in nine years of governance making the nation a ‘scam India’. I will clean up their mess and make it ‘Skill India’,” said Modi.

This is called washing dirty linen in public. We should leave our internal politics back home and focus only on attracting investments to the country when overseas.

In short, anything that might paint the country in a bad light should be avoided at all costs.

Hence, it was unbecoming of Modi to act like an opposition party leader rather than as the prime minister of one billion people.

What message will this send to the foreigners? He has lowered the dignity of the Prime Minister’s office with his injudicious comments.

Did Obama blame the Republicans during his trip to India?

Is Metro Rail KCR’s Brainchild?

Share

If the TRS Party contests the GHMC polls on its own, it would be wiped out as it has zero or negligible support in Hyderabad.

For this reason, KCR is poaching corporators from other Parties to contest on the TRS ticket.

He is also looking for showpieces of his governance to justify his appeal to GHMC voters, the majority of whom are non-Telanganites i.e. people who have made Hyderabad what it is today, but are considered non-locals or settlers.

Some advisers to KCR are of the opinion that it is better to hold the GHMC polls next year when at least two stretches of the Metro Rail would have been commissioned.

This is absolutely amusing! KCR trying to project the ‘Metro Rail’ project as his brainchild for the purpose of elections.

The Metro Rail Project was conceived and given the go-ahead during United Andhra Pradesh.

In fact, the project would have been progressing at breakneck speed but for KCR and his agitations.

In fact, even after KCR became CM, with the doubling of his Mt Everest sized ego, he demanded that L&T change the route of Metro Rail in old city areas, out of fear of MIM. L&T then threatened to walk out of the project.

Hence it is amusing to see KCR trying to win votes by projecting the Metro Rail as an example of his good governance.

A sad strategy for a person who has only sentiment to back him and nothing concrete against his name.
