Irrespective of mixed reviews and average public talk S/o Satyamurthy had a solid run at the Box office in its first week.

The film has crossed the first week tally of Ram Charan’s Yevadu to take the second place among the best first week earners.

Attarintiki Daredi of Pawan Kalyan still stands on top with more than ten crores share than the current top 2 opener SOS.

As per trade estimates, SOS has collected nearly 37 crores share in the first week. It still has a long way to go to breakeven due to the very high costs it was sold for.

The film did very good in Nizam and Karnataka in particular. There was huge drop in collections on Wednesday and Thursday doesn’t look rosy either.

SOS should do well during this weekend by competing against the new releases. Second weekend holds key in deciding the final range of this film.

It is likely to cross 45 crore mark but that will not be enough as the pre release theatrical business is somewhere around 54 crores!

New Delhi: Preity Zinta loves to shake a leg, but dancing to item numbers in films is not what the actress is aiming for.

Asked if she would like to do another item number after “Happening” from Salman Khan-starrer “Main Aurr Mrs Khanna” (2009), Preity told media: “The only reason I did the last item number is because I love Salman and he is my buddy. I would do anything for him.”

“Having said that, I’m not really an item number person. I’m an actor. My USP is that I can perform. I don’t mind dancing. I love to dance but I’d rather come to your house and dance or go to a club and dance,” she added.

But the 40-year-old all geared up for dance, dance and more dance in her new role as a judge on Star Plus’ reality show “Nach Baliye 7”.

She will share the judges’ panel with choreographer Marzi Pestonji and author Chetan Bhagat.

The name of producer Bellamkonda Suresh has been inevitably linked with financial problems of late.

Post Kandireega, Ram has three back to back failures – Endhukante Premanta, Ongole Gitta and Masala. He is eager to make a comeback with this film. Rakul Preet Singh and Sonal Chauhan are playing the female leads in this film.

Balupu fame Gopichand Malineni is wielding the megaphone for this movie. ‘Simha Producer’ Parchuri Kireeti is producing the film on his United Movies banner. Touted to be a full length entertainer, the film has music scored by Thaman. Kona Venkat has penned the dialogues. Arthur A.Wilson will be cranking the camera.
