TDP strategy to stall Botsa entry into BJP?

Share
The rivalry between Telugu Desam Party and Congress former PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana is well known and now with reports that he may enter BJP TDP is gearing up to stop this. There have been wide rumours that he was deeply involved in liquor scam during Congress rule and even Congressmen openly say that Botsa is the next in corruption list after Jagan Mohan Reddy.
To make sure that he doesn’t become a threat by entering BJP, Naidu regime in AP is all set to revive the cases against him and ensure that he is labeled corrupt officially. Hence, Naidu is doing everything he can to ensure that the new threat in the form of Sattibabu doesn’t rise again now through BJP instead of Congress so that he cannot be taken into BJP due to open corrupt image.

Twitter mockery on Rahul for series of defeats

BJP has conquered state after state in every election where as Congress lost its ground in states. BJP is in top gear especially after the victory of the General Elections in this year. There is huge difference on performance of two parties when compared to December’13 and December’14 in the country. Congress has lost 5 states when compared to December’13 and BJP wins 6 states in this year compared to last year. It seems that BJP has to fight with regional parties in every state.
Now the party has concentrated on Delhi and Bihar state elections which will be held in 2015. Morale of BJP cadre is in high and Congress is in nadir. It seems that Congress has facing leadership problem in all states. Rahul Gandhi who promoted as PM candidate has failed to lead the party. Netizens make mockery on Rahul and Congress performance in the elections.
“The fact that Congress has got more than 0 seats in both JK & Jharkhand means Rahul Gandhi’s leadership is finally working.” “BJP didn’t get 44 in Jharkhand. It’s big win for Rahul.” “Rahul Gandhi has won yet another election for the Congress. In his own mind and in hollowness of Sanja Jha’s head.” Congress has facing leadership problem never ever since 1998.

Rajamouli Makes Hollywood Director Jealous

Share
The reason why most of you like Hollywood flicks is the grandeur and the emotional intensity they generate through their epic takings. Among the many stalwarts of filmmaking there, one name that has always shone is Ridley Scott. He is the man behind some magnanimous blockbusters like ‘Gladiator’ ‘Kingdom Of Heaven’ ‘Robin Hood’ ‘Exodus: Gods And Kings’. Now, the talk among many is that Ridley Scott is sure to get envious because of one Telugu man.
He is none other than the tough taskmaster S S Rajamouli and the reason for that is his latest magnum opus ‘Bahubali’. Shaping it in two parts, Rajamouli is leaving no stone unturned to ensure this is going to be one of its kind Indian cinema has ever seen. ‘Bahubali’ belongs to the genre of films Ridley Scott is famous for and till date, whatever teasers, clippings, videos and stills that Rajamouli has brought out have received a thumping response.
In comparison to Hollywood, our films are rather restricted in terms of budgets and other resources. Despite that, the way Rajamouli is helming his project is causing stir across many cine circles, especially Hollywood. It has to be seen what Ridley Scott has to say about Rajamouli’s creation.

Mukunda Movie Review

Share

Movie :Mukunda
Rating :2.5/5
Cast: Varun Tej, Pooja Hegde, Rao Ramesh and Others
Directed by: Sreekanth Addala Produced by: Nallamalupu Bujji
Banner: Leo Productions
Music by: Mickey J Mayer
Release Date: 2014-12-24
Mukunda had some buzz prior to its release as another hero from Mega family is making his entry into film industry. Nagababu’s son Varun Tej got good feedback for his handsome looks and made an impression that he is one to watch out for. Did Varun Tej live up to the expectations in Mukunda?
Story :
This film is mainly about a clash between crooked Municipal Chairman (Rao Ramesh) and Mukunda, a hot blooded youth (Varun Tej). One of Mukunda’s friends is in love with a girl that belongs to Chairman’s family. Chairman and his henchmen are after him and Mukunda stands in between. Finally Mukunda decides to bring Chairman down by taking away his power.
Performances:
Varun Tej:Varun Tej is handsome. He is certainly among the best in Telugu Cinema when it comes to looks and screen presence. He did a decent job for a debutant. But more is expected out of this mega hero. Maybe the hero characterization in this film is too one dimensional for Varun Tej to showcase emotions. He could become a bankable hero provided he takes care about the choice of his scripts and polish his acting skills.
Pooja Hegde:Pooja Hegde is cute and suits the character of an average town girl. She hardly has a role to play in this and shined whenever the camera focuses on her.
Rao Ramesh:Rao Ramesh is a revelation. His menacing presence and wonderful dialog delivery takes the villain character to another level. Rao Ramesh deserves and award for this one. He is the highlight of this film.
Others:Prakash Raj character is not written well. Although there is a good conclusion to his character the buildup to it induces boredom. Raghubabu and Ali didn’t provide any comic relief. Sekhar Kammula’s cameo is just okay.
Technicalities:
Direction:Sreekanth Addala who has directed films like Kotha Bangaru Lokam and Seetamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu that hardly had any action in them surprises us this time with an action filled rural rustic drama. There are glimpses of brilliance shown by the acclaimed director, but he couldn’t engage the audience with riveting drama. Except for the flashes of brilliance here and there, this is a disappointing effort from the director. He shouldn’t have experimented too much with a newcomer.
Others:Songs are soulful but almost all of them are misplaced. Even the picturization of the songs is average. Mickey did his best as the music director. Cinematography is too good. Editing is patchy. There is no connection between many scenes. Production values are grand.
Thumbs Up:
Varun Tej
Rao Ramesh
Songs
Thumbs Down:
Editing
Slow Pace
No Entertainment
Analysis:
Mukunda is not a run of the mill films for sure. It has a different premise and strong characters. However it lacked a proper story and that has affected the screenplay to a great extent. Despite having its moments Mukunda falls short of being a good film. Deliberate attempt to stay away from commercial elements will eventually affect the prospects of the film at the box office.
Apart from impressive scenes between the hero and villain there is nothing else in Mukunda to keep you hooked. Hero and Heroine never talks in this film but they are madly in love with each other. Call it variety or madness, but the romantic track is one of the biggest weak links of the film. Not many would like this novel attempt from Sreekanth Addala.
Mukunda is a very serious drama with lots and lots of action, which seems pointless after some time. There is not a single scene where the protagonist is put to test. Director should have at least concentrated more on the hero, villain tussle when he is not so interested about any other emotions or interactions in this film. To sum it up, Mukunda marks a decent debut for Varun Tej, but fails as a movie. You may watch it for Rao Ramesh’s career defining performance and Mayer’s soundtrack.
Verdict: Mega debut gone wrong.

Why did Varun Tej go to Mahesh Babu’s House?

Share
Mega Brother Naga Babu’s son Varun Tej has made his filmy debut today with Srikanth Addala’s Mukundha. The movie has released in good number of theaters, thanks to the power of Mega family. But Varun Tej has kicked off a controversy in the film by making a reference to Mahesh Babu but not uttering a single word about Mega family. In one of the scenes, hero asks ‘Mahesh Babu intikeldama, illu pakkane…’
But there is no single reference to Mega family in the movie. Mega fans consider Mahesh Babu as their arch rival due to professional rivalry. They are unable to digest this act of Varun Tej. We spoke to one of the Mega fans at the theater. He is visibly agitated, “On every penny this movie collects, there is Mega family name written on it. How come this guy is doing Mahesh Bhajana. We disown him from now”.
On the other side, there are complains of the movie being too slow and Varun Tej being rigid with no proper facial expressions. The movie will have a very tough time at the box office if Chinnadana Nee Kosam releasing tomorrow gets good talk. Mukundha has to collect a minimum of 20 Crore to be called as a hit.

Tamanna’s Shocker to Dil Raju?

Share
Milky Beauty Tamannah Bhatia has reportedly given a shocker to ace producer Dil Raju. As we reported earlier that Tammu is being considered for a small-budget film to be directed by Krishna Vamsi and producer Dil Raju, the Rachcha actress seems to be in no mood to cut down her remuneration as she demanded the makers to pay Rs 1 Crore pay cheque.
Although her last film Aagadu bombed at Box Office and her Hindi releases too didn’t fare well, the talented actress hasn’t cut down her fee. With this, Dil Raju and Krishna Vamsi are on hunt for another notable face to rope into the film. What’s more interesting is that Prakash Raj will be playing a significant role in this women-centric film and would also be part of production.
Given that Anjali’s Geethanjali did exceptionally well at the ticket windows, Dil Raju and Prakash Raj are teaming up to churn out low-budget flicks.

Death Phobia to Nandamuri Fans

Share
The death of a fan at ‘Baadshah’ audio launch due to stampede and sudden demise of Nandamuri Janakiram following road mishap have a peculiar connection. Both these tragedies happened at a time period when NTR teamed up with Bandla Ganesh.
A section of fans treat it as a bad sentiment and strongly wish Tarak gives it a thought at least now. Other side of the story is that Fans who were optimistic rubbish these beliefs.
They confidently declare, ‘Just alike ‘Baadshah’ which is the biggest grosser for Tarak, ‘Temper’ will certainly shatter the existing records to revive Young Tiger’s career’.
Throwing the blame on Bandla Ganesh, who always worships his heroes and works relentlessly to deliver blockbusters with them, doesn’t make sense.

Condolences are pouring in as legendary film maker K Balachander passed away the other day. As the whole of film fraternity expressed their shock at the sudden loss, Junior NTR too joined the chorus. However, the way he wished about Balachander’s return from the bottom of his heart became talk of town.

(As you have created new history then with movies like Anthuleni Katha, I’m expecting you to create such history again by coming back to us).
Anthuleni Katha is a 1976 female-centric drama carved by Balachander, which features Jayaprada in the lead role while Rajnikanth and Sripriya played supporting roles. And Maro Charitra is a 1978 romantic-tragedy that has Kamal Haasan and Saritha in the leads. Both these movies are super hits.
