Drunk Sonam Surprises All
Film shootings may not be fun for those watching them, but they do have their own fun and memorable moments for the unit involved. And one interesting story about Sonam Kapoor’s Dolly Ki Doli is of an inebriated Sonam scaring the unit members.
Well, the Kapoor girl had to dance for the Phatte tak nachna song in which she had to be drunk. The song required her to dance with a bottle in her hand. But as the shooting progressed, the unit started getting worried looking at Sonam who was on a ‘high’.
Now, Sonam may be more popular as the style diva of Bollywood, but she showed the team that she also had enough acting skills to go by. Apparently, just when the unit was trying to calm her down, she burst out laughing loud. Laughs producer Arbaaz Khan, “Sonam did get us worried a bit, but later we realized it was just a prank.”
Fact Sheet: A Role Model Indeed!
Surely, Union Railways Minister, Suresh Prabhu is a cut from the rest! So sincere and committed a worker is Suresh Prabhu that it is no wonder that two Prime Ministers have placed their trust in him. When Vajpayee was the Prime Minister, he made Suresh Prabhu, the ‘Power Minister’ and also the Chairman of the task force on ‘interlinking of rivers’.
Suresh Prabhu did such an excellent job that his party, Shiv Sena immediately became jealous and asked for Prabhu to be removed from the Union Cabinet. Vajpayee was highly reluctant to let Prabhu go but had to bow down to the diktats of coalition politics! When Modi formed his cabinet, Suresh Prabhu was his choice for Railways.
But the Shiv Sena at the last minute decided to sever ties with the BJP and asked Suresh Prabhu to not be a part of the cabinet. But Modi was having none of it! An hour before his swearing-in ceremony, Suresh Prabhu was made a part of the BJP and given his portfolio.
Suresh Prabhu is one of those who works late into the night and works even on holidays and weekends. In fact, he returned recently from a trip to Australia and drove straight to his office from the airport at 6 PM where he gave instructions to his staff on various ideas gleaned from his Australian trip.
Reason behind BJP leaving TDP!
Shocked! Yes! It seems BJP has been moving away from its alliance partner TDP to the Andhra Pradesh opposition party YSRCP. The BJP Leader Vishnu Kumar Raju has met the YSRCP Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy secretly. But why do you think it was a secret meeting? Is anything fishy going on?
However, keeping the very near Municipality elections for Greater Visakhapatnam BJP is interested to head with YSRCP reveals a source. This is surely shocking news to TDP of Andhra Pradesh. Reminding another thing that the BJP MLA Vishnu Kumar Raju has been in full support of YS Rajasekhara Reddy’s rule and praised him.
However, there was nothing revealed about what happened during this secret meet. But according to sources, there may be a sure tie-up with YSRCP in the municipal elections. So, what do you think? Will really BJP leave TDP?
Konda Surekha Upset with KCR
Former minister Konda Surekha is said to be deeply upset with TRS supremo and CM KCR. With Surekha not getting a spot in KCR’s recent cabinet expansion, rumours are rife that she even has plans to quit TRS. However, sources close to Surekha made it clear that she doesn’t have any such plans but will fight within the party.
More than the cabinet berth, what has hurt Surekha more is that KCR turning down the appointment ahead of the expansion, added sources. And giving place to recently joined leaders like Tummala and Talasani also didn’t go well with Konda Surekha. Meanwhile, KCR has initiated damage control steps.
Konda couple has met KCR on Saturday at his camp office and disussed for a while. Apparently, KCR tried to compensate the “loss” with an MLC for Surekha’s husband. Although Konda couple didn’t agree to it immediately, they’re now mulling over the option.
All Time Top Opening Day: PK at No 7
The Aamir Khan-Anushka Sharma starrer PK finally hit the silver screen this week and the film has been performing very well at the box office. Considering the buzz that the film has been generating for the past few months, it comes as no surprise that the film opened to packed houses.
PK surpasses most of the other releases of Aamir Khan and becomes the second highest Opening Day grosser for Aamir Khan by collecting Rs. 26.63 crores leaving behind Talaash which collected Rs.13.50 crores and also his much popular film 3 Idiots which collected Rs. 12.78 crores on the opening day.
However, it fails to beat Aamir Khan’s previous release Dhoom 3 which had collected Rs. 36.22 crores. In fact, PK even manages to surpass Aamir Khan – Rajkumar Hirani’s previous collaboration 3 Idiots which managed to collect Rs. 12.78 crores on its opening day.
All For Fans: Power Star Will Not Disappoint
Power star Pawan Kalyan fans are not very happy with the fact that Pawan Kalyan will have a brief role in Gopala Gopala. Contrary to expectations of fans on their stars, Gopala Gopala starring Pawan Kalyan and Venkatesh will be in a different mould. But many are waiting anxiously to see how the coming together of both the stars would work out at the box office.
Also, there are many misconceptions that Pawan Kalyan will have a rather limited role which will be devoid of any entertaining elements as he plays god in the film. Despite playing god, his role will have all the frills of an entertaining character, they assure. So, even if Pawan appears only for half an hour in the film, the unit has ensured that his fans get total satisfaction from the film.
They insist that Pawan Kalyan’s character will become the highlight of the film. The scenes between Pawan Kalyan and Venkatesh and Pawan’s dialogues will have repeat value, say unit members. Well, then it’s good news for all Pawan Kalyan fans.
Even family had doubt on Akhil! What’s it?
Well, the most charming guy and the trending topic of Tollywood, Akkineni Akhil, seems really on cloud nine. Why not? His is going to make his debut with VV Vinayak and the movie just started off with the pooja this week and is all set to start the shooting too. Akhil Akkineni said “Every morning I used to wake up to a new rumour that i’m working with some new director.
Almost I was written working with 10 directors from Telugu industry.” Akhil Akkineni adds about his rumors on debut director and even his family would have doubt about it. “Even my family members used to text me, to find out if I’m really working with that particular director,” he adds.
“I’m waiting like a volcano to burst for the movie to take off. Starting the shoot and giving my best is the top priority for now,” Akhil says. So, he seems to be really very much excited! However, wishing him all luck.
Girl Student Attacks Lecturer with Acid
In a shocker, a girl student of Nallapadu Polytechnic College, Guntur district attacked her lecturer Venkataramana by throwing acid on him. Seriously injured Venkataramana was shifted to nearby hospital. Vekataramana who worked as a maths lecturer in a private college started loving his girl student from Narasaraopet for quite sometime.
He even promised to marry her and later joined Nallapadu Polytechnic college. On Nov 15th, however, he deceived her and married another woman. When she questioned him, he insulted her saying he will marry her as second wife. Humiliated with this, the girl student came to college with acid bottle and called him out of the college.
Before he could recover, she attacked him with acid. Venkataramana received lot of burns and is currently getting treated at Guntur Government Hospital. Doctors say he is out of danger but he got severe burns. Police took the girl student into custody for further investigation.
Chandrababu Puts Modi in Trouble?
Amid reports that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is not in favour of declaring cyclonic storm Hudhud as “National Disaster”, AP CM Chandrababu Naidu has played it very masterfully that he has put Modi in a tight spot. AP Legislative Assembly on Saturday passed a resolution asking Centre to announce Hudhud calamity as National Disaster and sought financial aid from the Centre in order to bring back normalcy in the cyclone-affected areas in the Northern Andhra Pradesh.
Naidu-led TDP government had earlier sent a detailed report to the Centre pegging the Hudhud losses at Rs 21,908 crore, but Centre reportedly opined that the losses might not be more than Rs 680 Crore. Although Modi had promised an interim relief assistance of Rs 1000 Crore during his visit to Vizag, so far, Centre has released only Rs 400 Crore.
On other hand, Centre is also delaying the process of awarding Special Category status and financial package to the truncated state of AP. With this, Naidu wants to “expose” Centre through Assembly and public platforms. It’s high time Centre should keep its promises made to the people of Andhra Pradesh.
Lingaa Beauty Back to Hyd For Her Hindi Film
Bollywood heartthrob Arjun Kapoor and ‘Lingaa’ beauty Sonakshi Sinha are all set to pay a visit to Hyderabad to promote their upcoming film Tevar, remake of Mahesh Babu’s blockbuster Okkadu. Arjun and Sonakshi will be in Hyderabad on Monday (Dec 22, 2014) where the duo address press at a star hotel in the city, said a source in the know.
The Ishaqzaade actor and Dabangg actress are going to have a detailed interaction with media. Boney Kapoor, Sanjay Kapoor and director Amit Sharma are also accompanying the lead pair. Since Tevar is due for release on January 9, 2015 on the eve of Pongal, the unit is planning to promote it in Hyderabad which has good market for Hindi films.
Sonakshi was recently in Hyderabad to promote her Lingaa which received mixed response. The daughter of Shatrughan Sinha is expected to pair up with Mahesh Babu in his upcoming film Shivam to be directed by Krish Jagarlamudi.

Saala Khadoos is a sports drama featuring Madhavan in the lead, while Ritika Singh and Mumtaz Sorcar, not just actresses but real life boxers, play female leads. Directed by lady director Sudha Kongara, the film will be released soon.
Rajinikanth Donates For Hudhud Victims
Superstar Rajnikanth has finally donated for the Hudhud victims as he announced that he will send a cheque of 5 lakhs to Andhra Pradesh CM’s Relief Fund. Earlier, Rajni has apologized to Telugu fans for not attending the Memu Saitham telethon that is aimed at raising the funds for the help of victims who lost everything in the devastating cyclone Hudhud that hit the districts of Vizag, Vijayanagarm and Srikakulam on October 12th after its landfall.
Earlier, other celebs from cine fraternity have all managed to donate around 5+ crores to Hudhud victims. On the flip side, many wonder why a big shot like Rajni who charges a hefty sum for his films managed to donate only 5 lakhs? Is that sum not too small for your stature Rajni sir? Probably he is into lot of philanthrophic activities already, and that left him no space to go beyond that figure.
Lokesh’s Fitting Counter to Jagan
Nara Lokesh has hit out strongly at the leader of Opposition YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Blaming Jagan for not helping the victims of cyclone Hudhud despite his promise to donate Rs 50 Lakh, Lokesh took to twitter to point at Jagan. “Jagan you promised Rs 50,00,000 towards Hudhud relief. Time for you to come clean on how you spent that money, before criticizing @ncbn!,” wrote Lokesh.
It may be recalled that Jagan had come forward to help the Hudhud victims only after a lot of dilly dallying. He vowed to donate Rs 50 Lakh towards the relief measure activities of Hudhud cyclonic storm. He had stated that relief measure activities would be done through YSR Foundation.
With nothing concrete has been done so far by Jagan, TDP Coordinator for Cadre Welfare Fund and Naidu’s scion, Lokesh questioned Jagan’s integrity and honesty on Hudhud victims. Of late, Lokesh has been actively involving in party activities and giving befitting counters to rival parties YSRCP and TRS in AP and Telangana respectively.
His latest remarks on Jagan say that all. It’s time for Jagan to prove his honesty for people and keep his promise.
Pak Taliban Chief Radio Mullah Dead?
Pakistan Taliban chief Radio Mullah alias Mullah Fazlullah, who is the mastermind behind Peshawar school massacre and the attack against teen activist Malala Yousafzai, has been reportedly killed. According to Pakistan media reports, Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) chief Mullah Fazlullah was killed in Pakistan Army’s drone strike in Pak-Afghan border on Friday.
Pak media widely reported that Fazlullah was believed to be killed when Pak army forces struck Swat valley. The vile attack of Paksitan Taliban on Peshawar school on Dec 16 claimed over 141 lives, including the lives of 132 students and 9 staff. Fazlullah was said to be the man behind the killings of innocent children.
Fazlullah, the brain behind the attacks, was in touch with the attackers from Afghanistan. PM Nawaz Sharif made it clear that if Fazlullah was not struck by missile, he said that the army will consider other options. Although Pak media claims the death of Radio Mullah, there is no substantial evidence so far to prove his death news.
