Caste-association lodges case on Rajni’s Lingaa

Share
Caste based trouble has loomed over Rajnikanth’s Lingaa now after the movie is facing troubles in Court over plagiarism charges. A case was filed in Hyderabad’s Kukatpally police station, as the associations of Bhattraju caste have felt insulted by Superstar Rajnikanth through his latest movie “Lingaa”.
Apparently the movie features a scene where a ‘Bhattraju’ is scene trying to praise Rajniakanth and demand money from him. But Rajni makes a mockery of the Bhattraju and fools him big time like the way the Bhattraju fools him by singing movie songs as praising-poems.
Deeply hurt by these acts, people from Bhattraju caste of Kukatpally region in Hyderabad stated that Rajnikanth insulted their self-respect and warned him of dire consequences if he fails to chop that scene from the flick. Probably this case will give more mileage to get some audiences for flopped Lingaa.

He Blamed India For Army School Attack

Share
Hafiz Saeed, the mastermind behind 26/11 terror attacks on Mumbai in 2008, which left 166 people dead, threatened India with deadly terror attacks. Speaking on Pakistan national Television, Hafiz Saeed blaming India for the terror attack on army school in Peshawar, Pakistan which killed 130 school children couple of days back, vowed to avenge the killings with terror attacks on India.
Even as Indian PM Modi, pledged to help Pakistan overcome terror attacks, Hafiz Saeed dared India with terror attacks speaking at mass funeral of the school children. Ironically not a single politician from Pak condemned his threats.
Indian intelligence agencies sounded red alert warning of possible attacks by Saeed’s organisations Lashkar-e-Taiba or Jamaat-ud-Dawa, targeting two hotel lobbies in the national capital as well as an unspecified location on the Delhi-Agra highway.
Security has been beefed up across the country and in particular Delhi. IB identified Samjhauta Express, Delhi-Lahore bus, two hotels here and iconic government buildings including 7RCR, prominent tourist spots, offices of security agencies, embassies and malls as likely targets.

How Did Chiru Surpassed Pawan In Rankings?

Share
Despite giving two sensational speeches during the launch of Janasena and playing a keyhole in the success of TDP-BJP led combine to form government in Andhra Pradesh, it is quite surprising that Pawan Kalyan hasn’t topped the search rankings released by google for 2014. More than that, his own elder brother who faced the wrath of people in elections has stood a place before him.
As Google released the Most Searched Celebrities 2014 list, Telugu industry felt surprised looking at the top five celebs. Here goes about them. Mahesh, Allu Arjun, Prabhas, Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan occupied the top five slots of Most Searched Celebs rankings when it comes to Telugu film industry. While Mahesh, Bunny and Prabhas justified their positions because of their lover-boy images.
Race Gurram’s roaring hit and Baahubali’s stunning first looks made Bunny and Prabhas next-gen big stars. And then, Pawan is dropped to fifth place surprising as Chiru occupied fourth slot. With no movie on silver screen from last 5 years, one wonders how Chiru surpassed his own young brother who is going great guns at the moment. Fans are saying that Pawan Kalyan is not much visible in any media, so there are less searches for him.
And critics say that Chiranjeevi is more in the news due to the negativity developed around him during politics. Later he became talk of town as his speeches at audio functions are garnering attentions, so is his 150th film talk. No reason looks justified about Pawan in 5th position for the kind of image he had, but Google searches are authentic.

In another letter to his daughter Indira Gandhi, he stressed the importance of solar time and not the artificial time used outside. He pointed that war time is atleast an hour ahead of the normal time.

In a move to fasten the works related to new capital of the truncated Andhra Pradesh, Chandrababu Naidu has given a call for Chalo Vijayawada. Naidu is toying with the idea to govern the state AP from Vijayawada as early as possible. He has shared the same with his MLAs on Thursday at TDLP (Telugu Desam Legislature Party) meeting.
He said that already plans are in place to shift few departments to Vijayawada immediately whereas complete shifting the base would take nearly six months. Naidu has also asked MLAs, including ministers, to work towards the progress of constituencies and bring their problems to his notice. He said he’d allot one day in a week to exclusively to meet all MLAs and asked even ministers to make availability on that day.
Naidu said that every Saturday he’d meet the MLAs in order to work efficiently. Babu also expressed his dissent over MLAs stating that they’re not successful in reaching out to public. He asked them to carry forward government’s welfare activities to people effectively. Naidu told his MLAs that they failed totally in publicizing government schemes like loan waiver and pensions.
Citing his rival- former CM late YS Rajasekhar Reddy as example, Naidu told MLAs that although Reddy did “less” to people, he was successful in “publicizing” them unlike us. Naidu said that his government implemented slew of welfare programmes and schemes and asked to take them to public.

5 Hits That Surprised Everyone in 2014

Share
2014 was supposed to be a year of big releases. 1-Nenokkadine, Aagadu, Rabhasa, Lingaa – the year has seen some big releases from big banners. However, the movies that did well were the smaller unnoticed movies which came without much fanfare and picked up steam through word of mouth. It went on to prove that in spite of Tollywood’s liking for the big stars and big releases, there is room for good movies with good stories. We take a look at some runaway hits of the year.
1. Oohalu Gusa Gusalade – Featuring Naga Shouryaand Rashi Khanna, Srinivas Avasarala’s rom-com was stylish, fresh and beautifully shot. It was a throwaway to the older times, when rom-coms were more about scripts and screenplays than about expensive locations and big stars. The movie targeted at adolescents and young crowds, went on to become a family entertainer eventually, bringing acclaim for the lead pair and the smart director.
2. Run Raja Run – Sujeeth, the debut director of the movie was already a big name in the short film circuit. His first movie with Sharwanand, also proved to be the critically acclaimed actor’s first box office success in a really long time. Run Raja Run, followed on the trend of good script and good screenplay playing the most important role in the movie, as opposed to the presence of a super-star. Debutant heroine Seerat Kapoor also received a lot of praise for her acting. The crisp, edgy thriller offered a dream role to Sharwanand, who had an opportunity to present his comic timing as well.
3. Karthikeya – Karthikeya was the surprise hit of the year, giving the pair of Nikhil Siddharth and Swati, two back-to-back blockbusters, thrusting him into the big leagues, after Swamy Ra Ra’s success earlier. Based on a science versus religion concept, the movie went on to rack 50 days at several centers including at some multiplexes, where no movie had ever made a 50-day run, milestones that showed how impressive the performance of the movie was.
4. Loukyam – Clashing with a Mahesh Babu and a Mega camp movie is rarely a good idea. Released between Aagadu and Govindudu Andarivadele, the Gopichand starrer was appreciated for its comedy – especially by Brahmanandam and Pruthvi. The movie that did well at the theaters could have had a far better run at the box office, if it were released a few weeks later, considering how the big releases lost their fizz.
5. Ala Ela – No big stars, no over-the-board promotions didn’t prove to be detrimental to the success of the film, as the Rahul Ravindran – Vennela Kishore starrer comedy thrived on word of mouth to bring in audiences into the hall. In spite of a low key release in few centers, the movie picked up from the second day, thanks to good reviews of the clean comedy that the movie offered. It could also be a new lease of life for AndalaRakshasi hero, Rahul Ravindran, who has couple of releases lined for early next year.
Honorable Mentions –
Two other movies that also did well this year were Balakrishna’s Legend, which surprisingly wasn’t 14 Reels’ chief priority, given the focus on 1: Nenokkadine, and Drushyam, starring Venkatesh, which did well based on a good script (it was a remake of a Malayalam hit) and good acting. Finally Allu Arjun’s Race Gurram bags the top position in 2014 which also the highest collected movie for Stylish star.

And these young Mumbai police constables are no different. At the Juhu Chowpatty beach with the beautiful muddy afternoon sea as the perfect backdrop for their khaki uniforms, they pose for an onlooker who volunteers to click a picture for them.

Chandrababu Naidu Ogling Google!

Share
Google naming a Telugu font after NTR and Naidu’s forthcoming session on ‘Google + Hangout’ on the 20th of this month are timed too close for comfort. It wouldn’t be surprising if this turns out to be a quid pro quo arrangement. NTR gets commemorated once again and Naidu once again refurbishes his tech-savvy image by interacting through Google!
What does Google get out of it? What do they stand to lose from it? All they have to do is name a Telugu font after NTR. Big deal! In return, they get to host the CM of Andhra Pradesh on their platform ‘Google+’. Google+ is a re-invented avatar of ‘Orkut’ which did well initially but had to close down shop in the face of competition from ‘Facebook’, ‘Twitter’ and ‘LinkedIn’.
Google is desperately trying to make Google+ a success and generate traffic by having celebrities and politicians interact on ‘Hangout’. To date, the idea is still struggling and Naidu’s show is unlikely to turn things around overnight. In the sessions, Mr Naidu is supposed to answer questions posted on Facebook, Twitter and Google Plus pages with the hashtags #AskAPCM and #AskCBN.
The deadline for posting the question was December 16 and only 80 questions have been asked from across the State with none related to IT. Naidu can happily wind up his session early and probably even find the time to catch a movie on you tube.
