Tollywood’s hot shot movie director Puri Jagannath has always been lucky when it
comes to directing the stars of the mega camp. His first movie Badri with power star
pawan kalyan which released in 2000 made him a hit director. Then Puri went on making
hit movies with Ravi Teja and Mahesh Babu. He hit a jackpot with Allu Arjun from
Deshamuduru which ran to a silver jubilee. He never had a flop with anyone of the stars
from the mega family. Then he made chiruta with Ram Charan which gave the latter
a dashing entry in Tollywood. However with time Puri’s movies began flopping one
after another in the recent years. Ek Niranjan with prabhas, Nenu Naa Rakshasi with
Rana Daggubati, Budda hoga Tera Baap with Amitabh Bacchan and Devudu Chesina
Manushulu with Ravi Teja failed miserably at the box office. Now with Cameraman
Ganga tho Rambabu, again with Pawan kalyan he had come back with a super hit and
is back in the reckoning. Cameraman Ganga Tho Rambabu has raked in Rs.30.23 crore
net at the worldwide Box Office in the first week. According to sources Puri will begin
to shoot his next movie Iddarammayila tho with Allu Arjun from December. Amala Paul
will star along side Allu Arjun in this romantic comedy film. DeviSri Prasad known for
his hit combination with Arjun will surely make the audience expect a hit from Puri. Few
sources say that Puri will also be one of the probables who will be directing the 150th
movie of Megastar Chiranjeevi.

Bollywood action hero Akshay Kumar who is also known as Khialdi Kumar revealed his success secret when he turned brand ambassador for Mc Dowell Signature. Mc Dowell Signature has appointed the Mr.Khiladi Akshay Kumar as its new brand ambassador. Akshay Kumar has been signed for the brand’s campaign “Success if living in the spotlight”. Akshay Kumar is
already the brand ambassador of various other brands like motorcycle maker Honda and the footwear manufacturer Relaxo.

The President and Managing Director of United Spirits Limited, Mr. Ashok Capoor, said that the brand Signature resonates with the successful and so the tagline is –“The sign of success”. As the brand ambassador, Akshay Kumar will be seen in the ad campaign which will be for a span of 13 weeks which will be aired on TV beginning from this month.

The sexy lass Deepika Padukone is being approached by many organizers to perform at award functions.

The songs of her movie Cocktail had topped the charts, especially Angrezi beat sung by Yo Yo Honey
Singh. This song has become very popular and Deepika is being bombareded with ofeers to dance
on this song. Deepika’s spokesperson said: “She has been approached to perform to Angrezi beat.
However, Deepika still has to work out her dates.”

Sources revealed that many organizers want to rope in Deepika to perform on this song at the functions.
While some want to recreate the song’s setting on the stage for the performance, for others Deepika
may even don the same look from the film.

Deepika is currently busy shooting for her upcoming movie Ram Leela with Ranveer Singh. She also has
Race 2 releasing in 2013 and Rohit Shetty’s Chennai Express with Shah Rukh Khan.

He felt that of the present generation stars only he could do the role and entertain movie lovers to the core. Now it has to be seen which film maker will dare to remake Chantabbai.

It is an open fact that Choreographer-turned-Director Lawrence Raghavendra is a die-hard fan of Rajinikanth. He is reportedly planning to give a special birthday gift to his matinee idol on December 2012.

Lawrence is making arrangements to unveil a special album dedicated to Superstar on his birthday. “I am one of those crores of fans of Superstar Rajinikanth. I have a high regard for him and he is really a wonderful human being. I want to dedicate a special album for Rajini sir on his coming birthday, which is very special (12-12-12). Music director Vijay Antony is composing the songs and it will be like a big treat for all his fans. It’s my gift to the Superstar,” he revealed.

Speculations are ripe that Lawrence was doing so to draw the attention of the superstar and to bag the offer to direct a film. His last outing Rebel bombed at the Box Office, incurring huge losses to the producers.

Chiranjeevi, the Union Minister was in Hyderabad to flag off the 10k run attended by  politicos, celebrated sports persons, athletes from the city and abroad. As the whistle was blown to flag off the run, thousands of Chiranjeevi fans thronged the dais to get a glance of their favourite actor. They shook hands and took autographs from him.

Mahesh Babu, the lead role in the movie had dedicated the dates of this entire week for Vivel and Royal Stag ads. These shootings will take place in Mumbai. A song on Mahesh and Samantha will be shot in Pune in the first week of December. The audio release is planned for December 13th.

Srikanth Addala is the director of SVSC, the family entertainer casting Samantha and Anjali as the leading ladies and Prakash Raj, Jayasudha, Brahmanandam et al in prominent roles. Mickey J. Meyer composed the musical scores while KV Guhan is cranking the camera.

Akkineni Nagarjuna’s Sociofantasy offering Damarukam has released after much drama and controversies, but the entire episode finally had a happy ending with the movie becoming good success. Going by the intial trend, the movie is all set to become the biggest grosser in Nagarjuna’s career. The movie had collected 4.5C share only in AP on the opening day and is expected to do good through out this weekend. Here is the opening day collections break up –

Currently politics and films are going hand in hand and though this phenomenon is nothing new, now a days industry’s association with politicians is increasing with every passing day. Film makers are of the opinion that if they are in good books of politicians then there won’t be any problems for their businesses in future. However if they aspire to contest for elections on the party ticket, with these contacts then it may not be possible.

Sometime back Chengala Venkatrao made a film with Balakrishna and got TDP MLA ticket in return impressing the hero. Similar is Kodali Nani who made films like Samrakshakudu, Saniihitudu,Samba, Adurus before becoming MLA. However now days have changed.

While Vallabhaneni Vamsi is also planning to take the same route but is having doubts whether Chandra Babu gives green signal as party president or not. However Vamsi is planning to make two to three films with Simha Balakrishna who is currently concentrating on politics with out doing any films. In that way atleast he can make some profits impressing fans.

When genex viewers started viewing Maruthi’s directed Bus Stop starring Prince and Sri Divya many hailed him for scoring another hit after Ee Rojullo hit. This made Maruthi go over the moon and he even started challenging critics who are baying for his blood for filling the film with third grade ‘A’ rated not even double meaning but pretty straight vulgar dialogues.
He went on to mock them questioning whether he exposed heroine’s assets and glamor or some other thing which is quite common in other films.

However according to trade analysts Bus Stop did not bring much smile to Maruthi except for the fact that he bagged golden offer under Allu Aravind’s Geetha Arts banner. Since the film Bus Stop has been branded as B grade adult film, family viewers stayed away from theaters. Though it got good openings no one is confident of steady collections.

This is the reason why Maruthi is trying hard to promote his film by various means in various channels. However since the film is a low budget film, producer is in safe zone.
