HP Unifies OMEN and HyperX at CES 2026, Launches New Gaming Laptops and Hardware

CES 2026 has kicked off on a high note, with artificial intelligence dominating the show floor. Amid the AI-heavy announcements, HP has made a significant move in the gaming segment by unveiling a major brand restructuring. The company announced that it has merged its OMEN gaming lineup with HyperX, bringing both under a single identity called HyperX, which HP describes as the beginning of a “new era of gaming brand.”

Under the newly unified HyperX banner, HP introduced a fresh lineup of gaming laptops, monitors, and accessories designed for high-performance gaming and creators.
Leading the announcements is the HyperX OMEN Max 16, a flagship gaming laptop featuring up to a 16-inch OLED display with a 240Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of up to 500 nits. The device is powered by Intel Core Ultra 200HX series processors or next-generation AMD Ryzen AI processors, paired with up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU. HP has equipped the laptop with OMEN Tempest Cooling Pro, Fan Cleaner technology, and support for up to 300W of combined power delivery, with an additional 50W performance boost.

HP also unveiled the HyperX OMEN OLED 34, a premium gaming monitor featuring a 34-inch V-Stripe QD-OLED panel with WQHD resolution and an ultra-smooth 360Hz refresh rate. Aimed at both gamers and professionals, the monitor offers HyperX ProLuma colour technology for enhanced colour accuracy, along with a built-in KVM switch and 100W USB-C power delivery.

Expanding into console gaming accessories, HP introduced the HyperX Clutch Tachi, its first Xbox-licensed arcade controller. The controller features magnetic switches with TMR sensors and offers extensive customisation options, including button mapping and rapid trigger adjustments.
HP confirmed that pricing and detailed availability for all newly announced HyperX products will be revealed closer to launch, with products expected to be listed on HP.com in Spring 2026.

Producer Anil Sunkara is currently busy promoting his upcoming release Nari Nari Naduma Murari, starring Sharwanand in the lead role. During the promotions, he recalled a memorable incident from the Sankranthi release of 1 Nenokkadine.

Anil shared how the team had planned a unique pre-release event, intending to launch the film’s trailer live across multiple cinema theatres in the Telugu states. Fans were to enjoy an interactive session with Mahesh Babu, making the trailer launch a truly immersive experience.

However, their plans were abruptly disrupted by a phone call. “When we were about to step on stage, a phone call abruptly halted the plan to reveal the trailer. The caller warned that releasing the trailer at that moment would negatively impact the film’s openings. It shook us, and we had to call off the trailer launch, releasing an action cut later. But when fans entered the theatres, they were upset that we hadn’t prepared them,” Anil recalled.

Despite its mixed box-office performance at the time, 1 Nenokkadine has since gained recognition as a cult classic and is regarded as one of the most daring and significant films in Telugu cinema.

Currently, the film’s buzz appears concentrated primarily in the Telugu states and North America. In the overseas market, pre-sale ticket numbers are encouraging, with premiere bookings nearing the $500,000 mark, reflecting solid interest among Telugu audiences abroad.

In contrast, awareness and hype for The Raja Saab in the Hindi belt remain surprisingly modest—despite it being the only Telugu film this Sankranthi releasing with a pan-Indian Hindi version.
