Tollywood drugs case: ED grills Charmee Kaur for 8 hours
The Enforcement Directorate (ED), probing the money laundering angle in the drug trafficking case, grilled actress-producer Charmee Kaur for over 8 hours on Thursday, September 2, 2021.
The actress, who arrived at the ED office at around 10.00 am, left the premises after nearly 8 hours. As per reports, she submitted the details of the bank’s transactions up to 2015-17. Charmee, however, denied any involvement with drugs or drug rackets.
After the questioning, Charmee said, “From my side, I am fully cooperating with them. I will continue to cooperate with the investigators and be ready to give everything that the law wants.”
The case was registered under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) based on the chargesheets filed by the SIT with the Excise Department.
It is learned that notices have been sent to Puri Jagannath, Charmee Kaur, Rakul Preet Singh, Rana Daggubati, Ravi Teja along with driver Srinivas, Navdeep, F-Club general manager, Mumaith Khan, Tanish, Nandu and Tarun to appear before the ED.

‘కార్తికేయ 2’ సినిమాకు సంబంధించి ఇప్పటి వరకు అనౌన్స్ మెంట్ పోస్టర్ తప్ప మరో అప్డేట్ రాలేదు. అప్పుడప్పుడు చిత్ర యూనిట్ షూటింగ్ విశేషాలు వెల్లడిస్తూ వచ్చింది. ఫస్ట్ లుక్ – టీజర్ వంటివి రిలీజ్ అవకుండానే.. ఈ సినిమా హక్కులు భారీ ధరకు అమ్ముడయ్యాయని టాక్ వినిపిస్తోంది. ఈ సినిమాకు సంబంధించిన అన్ని భాషల శాటిలైట్ రైట్స్ మరియు ఇతర భాషల డబ్బింగ్ హక్కులు కలిపి రూ. 20 కోట్లకు విక్రయించారట.

ఇది నిఖిల్ కెరీర్ లోనే అత్యధిక బడ్జెట్ తో రూపొందుతున్న సినిమా. ఫస్ట్ పార్ట్ కి మించి వీఎఫ్ఎక్స్ వర్క్స్ ఉంటాయని.. డైరెక్టర్ చందు మొండేటి నెక్స్ట్ లెవల్ ఈ చిత్రాన్ని తీర్చిదిద్దుతున్నారని తెలుస్తోంది. ఇప్పటికే గుజరాత్ – ఉత్తరాఖండ్ – హిమాచల్ ప్రదేశ్ – పంజాబ్ – రాజస్థాన్ లలో ఈ సినిమా షూటింగ్ జరిపారు. రాబోయే షెడ్యూల్ ని యూరప్ లోని గ్రీస్ మరియు ఆగ్నేయాసియా దేశమైన వియత్నాం లలో ప్లాన్ చేసినట్లు సమాచారం.

Goud seeks UNESCO tag for more Telangana monuments
HYDERABAD: Minister for Heritage and Tourism V Srinivas Goud, during his visit to New Delhi on Thursday, requested Union Minister for Tourism and Culture G Kishan Reddy to nominate Charminar, Golconda Fort, Quli Qutub Shahi Tombs and the Thousand Pillars Temple for inscribing them in the list of UNESCO’s world heritage sites.
Goud also sought the Union Minister’s intervention to approve companies and organisations interested in adopting historic monuments as part of the Centre’s ‘Monument Mitra’ initiative. He said GMR Group was interested in adopting Golconda Fort, Kakatiya Heritage Trust in adopting Ramappa temple and Mytrah Energy India Pvt Ltd wanted to adopt Navabrahma Temples in Alampur. He said the projects were awaiting approvals for a long time and sought the Minister’s consideration in approving them.
Budget was also sought for development of pilgrimage and nature tourism in Mahabubnagar district, fort circuit and Buddhist circuit in Telangana under Swadesh Darshan scheme, Venkateshwara Swamy temple at Manyamkonda in Mahabubnagar district and for development of Tagore Cultural Complexes for Mahabubnagar town. He also met Director General of ASI V Vidyavathi and thanked her for her department’s efforts in achieving UNESCO’s world heritage tag for the Ramappa temple.

Palle, Pattana Pragathi gave Telangana a facelift: CS
HYDERABAD: Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar, on Thursday, said that all rural and urban areas across Telangana are developing rapidly due to the implementation of Palle Pragathi and Pattana Pragathi prorgammes.
The Chief Secretary, along with Special Chief Secretary of Municipal Administration Arvind Kumar, planted saplings in Bruhat Palle Prakruti Vanam at Chegur village under Nandigama mandal in Shadnagar Assembly segment.Speaking on the occasion, Somesh Kumar said Palle Prakruti Vanams have been set up in 19,472 villages across the State.

ఓ కేసులో చంచల్గూడ జైలులో రిమాండ్లో ఉన్న తీన్మార్ మల్లన్న మంగళవారం సాయంత్రం నుంచి ఆమరణ నిరాహార దీక్ష చేస్తున్నారనే వార్త సోషల్ మీడియాలో వైరల్ అయింది. బుధవారం ఉదయం తీన్మార్ మల్లన్న ఆన్లైన్ ములాఖత్లో భార్యతో మాట్లాడారు. ఆసమయంలో పోలీసుల అక్రమ కేసులకు నిరసనగా నిరాహార దీక్ష చేస్తున్నట్లు భార్యతో చెప్పినట్లు వార్తలు వచ్చాయి.
దీనిపై జైలు సూపరింటెండెంట్ డాక్టర్ డి.శ్రీనివాస్ వివరణ ఇచ్చారు. తీన్మార్ మల్లన్న జైలులో నిరాహార దీక్ష చేస్తున్నారనే వార్త అవాస్తవం అని అన్నారు. జగద్ గిరిగుట్ట పోలీస్స్టేషన్ పరిధిలో గతంలో తీన్మార్ మల్లన్నపై కేసు నమోదైంది. ఈనేపథ్యంలో బుధవారం వెబనార్ ద్వారా పోలీసులు ఆయనను విచారించారు. కూన మహాలక్ష్మీనగర్కు చెందిన వెంకటేశ్ అనే వ్యక్తికి గతంలో ఓ ప్లాట్ విషయంలో కార్పొరేటర్ జగన్ అనుచరుడు సంపత్రెడ్డికి మధ్య గొడవ జరిగింది. ఈవిషయంపై కార్పొరేటర్ వద్దకు వెంకటేశ్ వెళ్లినా న్యాయం జరగలేదు.

Andhra Pradesh ranked 13th in terms of receiving FDIs
The Central government department, the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade that works under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry had compiled a report on the investments attracted by the states between October 2019 to June 2021.
As per the report, Andhra Pradesh was ranked at the 13th position in terms of Foreign Direct Investments (FDI). The state has managed to receive 2577.1 Crore FDI flow in the two years. The amount translates to 354.61 million in the US currency.
Besides the FDI amount, Andhra Pradesh had also recorded less percentage in terms of the inflows with a mere 0.35 percent. Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Telangana have recorded better numbers in the inflow level as well.
Looking at the other Southern states, the neighboring states have fared well when it comes to attracting the flow of the Foreign Direct Investments (FDI). The brother state of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana stood at the eighth position with its 17,709.15 Crore of FDI.
The Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) ruled Karnataka had attracted close to 1.5 lakh crore with 1,49,715.38 Crore Foreign Direct Investments (FDI) in the same period and stood at the third place. Tamil Nadu was ranked fifth in the list with an FDI of 30,078.87 Crore Rupees.
Looking at the overall list, Maharashtra tops the list in the FDI with 2,01,947,91 crore. Given the fact that the financial capital of the country Mumbai is in Maharashtra, there is no surprise in the Maratha land reaching the top slot in the FDI chart. The state also recorded the highest percentage of inflows with 27.24 percent.
Two BJP ruled states, Gujarat and Karnataka stood at the second and third places in the list with FDI numbers of 1,87,470.02 and 1,49,715,38 crore respectively. The national capital Delhi had received an FDI of 83,324.32 crores and was ranked fourth on the list.
Tamil Nadu(30,078.87 Cr), Haryana(20,337.71 Cr), Jharkhand(19,200.99 Cr), Telangana(17,709.15 Cr), Punjab(5,543.52 Cr), West Bengal(5,526.78 Cr) stood at the top ten positions.
The Covid had impacted the FDI amounts in almost all the states. However, a few states are in a better position in the list despite the Covid impact as the states have attracted a good amount of investments before the pandmeic hit.

As per our sources, Allu Arjun will be undergoing a complete makeover for the second installment of Pushpa.
In the first part, Allu Arjun will be seen in a raw and rustic look. In the second installment, he will sport a stylish look that is completely different from that of the first part. Presumably, there will be tonal changes in the script and the narrative as well.
Allu Arjun’s makeover will be one of the USPs of Pushpa Part 2. It is heard that Allu Arjun might take up Icon immediately after he is done with Pushpa: Part 1 and then commence shooting for the second part once he is done with the Sriram Venu directorial. But nothing is for certain for now.
