Only 15 Days Break For Bunny And Sukumar

Share

One of the most awaited combinations of Telugu film industry is none other than Allu Arjun and Sukumar who has earlier delivered stunners like Arya and Arya 2. They are now uniting for the third time for #AA20 that has unique Nallamala forests and red sander smuggling as the backdrop.

While Allu Arjun is spending his time with Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo promotions and meeting his mega cousins on other side, director Sukumar went to his native village Mataparru in Godavari district to celebrate Sankranthi with family members. So when is the shooting of this film is going to be rolled out?

Reports are coming that Sukumar is quite happy with the test shoot they have done in Kerala recently where a gang of crucial actors from the movie have taken part. Though Allu Arjun hasn’t joined that schedule, he will be now joining the latest schedule that will be kickstarting from the first week of February.

If all goes well as per the plan, #AA20 will be hitting cinemas on Dasara eve in 2020.

Rajamouli Will Not Disappoint Sudeep’s Fans This Time

Share

Director giant SS Rajamouli makes sure that he always gets the perfect casting for his movies. That too when it comes to finding right villains, he makes sure that actors who could showcase deep acting prowess will be cast in those roles. That’s how we got Kannada Superstar Sudeep playing the villain role in “Eega” movie.

But then, when Rajamouli released the character poster of Sudeep from Baahubali, many thought he has a huge role to play in the movie. However, he appeared in a single scene as a guest in the first part but nowhere to be seen in the second part at all. That has disappointed his fans both in Kannada and also in Telugu circles hugely.

Reports are now coming that Sudeep will be seen in a prominent role in Rajamuli’s upcoming film #RRR. He is likely to play the role of a police officer in this period drama. They say that his role appears alongside Ram Charan for a long time in the movie and will be making a strong impact.

If this happens for real, then Kiccha’s fans will be super happy. Also, it will be terrific to see him lock horns with another intense performer Ram Charan.

Samantha’s Place Is Still Vacant!

Share

Though the likes of Kajal Agarwal and Tamanna succumbed to flops, Ileana and Nayantara walked out of Telugu movies, the only star heroine who still continues to be on the top form is Samantha. After marriage, she changed the way she picks films and left the ‘throne’ vacant.

When it comes to the question who could be the next top star heroine of Tollywood in the commercial genre, then names like Kiara Advani, Pooja Hegde, Rashmika Mandanna popped up along with Raashi Khanna and few other seniors. But none took the advantage to become the real No 1 starlet of Telugu industry.

Recently with Rashmika pairing alongside Mahesh in Sarileru Neekevvaru and Pooja Hegde sizzling opposite Allu Arjun for the second time in Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, many thought that the final war is between these two only. However, the two haven’t convinced the audiences in such a way that they would be the next Samantha.

Simply put, the place left by Samantha is still vacant. We have to see who will be occupying it.

#SittharalaSirapadu: Superb song

Share

Way before the release of ‘Ala Vaikunthapurramloo’ there were reports that the film has a song with Srikakulam folk touch. But the makers deliberately kept it at bay so as to maintain the suspense. Now that the film got released and is doing extremely well at the ticket counter, the makers released the lyrical video of the ‘Sittharala Sirapadu.’

Sung by Soorranna and Saketh Komanduri, the song has a lazy vibe but the lyrics are mass. The composing is terrific by Thaman. ‘Sittharala Sirapadu’ would be like a slow poison and will definitely add value to music album which is already a big hit.

‘Ala Vaikunthapurramloo’ which is the third combination of Trivikram and Allu Arjun, is turning out to be the biggest hit of the stylish hero.

RP Is The Biggest Disappointment From Sarileru And Ala

Share

Despite some critics liking them and some not, the two big movies of the season Sarileru Neekevvaru and Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo are right now creating a rampage at the box office. Though these two films are heading for a breakeven in a short time, here is one of the biggest dsiappointment from them.

Actually every film manages to use their star cast in a big way. And the character artists they rope in will be helping the film’s narrative reach more people. One such dependable actor is none other than Rajendra Prasad, who has done terrific roles earlier in both Trivikram and Anil Ravipudi’s movies. His presnce in films like Julayi, S/o Satyamurthy and F2 is quite stunning.

But now, neither Sarileru Neekevvaru nor Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo has given him roles that have prominence. In Mahesh’s film, he is seen as a side kick of the hero in the role of “Prasad Garu”. He has fialed to bring huge laughs as the role is quite poorly written by Anil Ravipudi.

In Trivikram and Allu Arjun’s flick, he is seen as a police inspector who failed to bring any laughs like in his previous movies. Definitley for audiences who are expecting much from Rajendra Prasad, these two films are a big disappointment.

Pawan dreams of becoming CM with BJP support!

Share

Having failed to make even a little impact on the electorate in the April 2019 general elections, actor-turned-Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan is now dreaming of becoming the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh with the support of Bharatiya Janata Party.

It is like, as YSR Congress party official spokesman Ambati Rambabu put it, swimming across the Godavari river holding a dog’s tail.

While Pawan’s party could at least win one MLA seat (of course, this gentleman is also all set to jump into YSR Congress party), the BJP was dumped into the Bay of Bengal by the voters of Andhra Pradesh lock, stock and barrel.

So, one wonders how both these parties, who have been rejected by the people as virtual non-entities, are hoping to emerge as a third alternative political force in the state and come to power, defeating the mighty YSR Congress party which won nearly 50 per cent of votes and the main opposition Telugu Desam Party which still has the support of 40 per cent of voters.

Yet, Pawan Kalyan says the Jana Sena-BJP combine would win the confidence of the people who were looking at a third alternative in the state.

“We are confident that the Jana Sena-BJP combine would form the next government in Andhra Pradesh,” he said.

The alliance will have to test its waters in the ensuing local body elections. If the people reject the same, it will be an indication to the scenario it is going to witness in the next elections.

Can Sailajanath turnaround Cong fortunes?

Share

After a long gap of nearly eight months, the Congress party in Andhra Pradesh, which has virtually gone defunct, has finally got a chief.

All India Congress Committee on Thursday appointed senior leader and former minister in the combined Andhra Pradesh Sake Sailajanath as the president of Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC). The orders were issued by AICC general secretary K C Venugopal in the evening.

Apart from Sailajanth, two other senior leaders N Tulasi Reddy and Shaik Mastan Vali were appointed as APCC working presidents.

The Congress party in Andhra Pradesh has been headless since the resignation of former PCC chief N Raghuveera Reddy on May 19, soon after the announcement of exit polls.

The party, which paid heavy penalty for dividing the combined Andhra Pradesh and could not win even a single assembly seat in 2014 elections, did not recover later.

It was rejected outright once again by the people in 2019 elections and the party could not win vote share even to match NOTA.

Since then, there had been no takers for the PCC chief post. Raghuveera took a break from politics and went into oblivion and there are no meetings of the PCC anywhere.

Though the high command requested seniors like former chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, six-time MP Chinta Mohan and former Union minister M M Pallam Raju, but nobody was interested to take up the job.

Now, it has forced Sailajanath to accept the post. A Dalit leader from Singanamala constituency in Anantapur district, Sailajanath enjoys some reputation, as he had served as government whip during the Y S Rajasekhar Reddy government and was a minister in Kiran Kumar Reddy cabinet.

May be, the high command thought Sailajanath can breathe some life into the otherwise dead party, but one doubts whether it is possible.

The party has no leaders or cadre and it is extremely difficult for Sailajanath to revive the Congress. It is like flogging the dead horse!

First Look: Striking Resemblance Of MGR

Share

Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut is starring in the biopic of late legendary actress and former Tamil Nadu CM J Jayalalithaa titled Thalaivi.

Jayalalithaa’s success in the movie industry was in large part the result of her association with the iconic Tamil actor MGR who founded the AIADMK and mentored the actress politically.

Arvind Swamy is playing the crucial role of the legendary politician MGR in the film. The character look is unveiled on MGR’s birth anniversary.

Dressed in blue tees, formal pants and sporting black shades, Arvaind Swamy in a clean-shaven look bears a striking resemblance to MGR.

AL Vijay is directing the multi-lingual film produced by Vishnu Vardhan Induri and Shailesh R Singh. Prakash Raj essays Karunanidhi in the film for which music is scored by GV Prakash Kumar.

Thalaivi is slated for release on June 26, 2020.

The actor also shared that he feels sleeping is a waste of time, and that’s why he doesn’t like sleeping much.

Roundup: From red to saffron, Pawan changes colours!

Share

There is no better entertaining news for the readers of newspapers than actor-turned-Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan joining hands with the Bharatiya Janata Party on Thursday.

All the three major Telugu dailies – Eenadu, Andhra Jyothy and Sakshi have carried the BJP-Jana Sena alliance prominently but with different lead points.

Sakshi which took it as a second lead story quoted him as saying that both Jana Sena and BJP shared a common ideology.

This is a laughable claim by the Jana Sena chief. Till the other day, he used to claim himself to be a Left-oriented man, as he grew up with Communist ideology thanks to his father.

Bolivian Communist leader Che Guevara was his role model, so much so that he imitated the former in his attire and appearance.

Pawan was also fascinated by the Marxist philosophy and he had claimed to have read the Communist manifesto many times and was inspired from it. He is a great fan of Gaddar, the revolutionary singer from Telangana.

Now, this gentleman suddenly changes his colours from red to saffron and says he shares the common ideology with the BJP!

When there is an outburst across the nation over implementation of Citizenship Amendment Act, Pawan surprisingly supports the same. He also backs National Register for Citizens, which is being opposed by many states.

And finally, Pawan says he doesn’t owe anything to the Communists with whom he had alliance in the last elections and provided cadre for his rallies and agitations. This is the mother of all U-turns!

For some reason, Eenadu made Pawan’s new avatar as a banner story which is against its editorial policy.

It also prominently carried the statement of BJP state in-charge Sunil Deodhar that there would be no alliance with the Telugu Desam Party or YSR Congress party.

Andhra Jyothy ignored the somersault of Pawan but focussed on his statement and that of the BJP leaders that they would not allow the shifting of capital from Amaravati to Visakhapatnam.

For that matter, both Eenadu and Andhra Jyothy continued with their agenda of promoting the agitation by Amaravati farmers against the capital shift.

Eenadu highlighted how the farmers had stayed away from Sankranti celebrations and took up a hunger strike for the sake of Amaravati and the demand of Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu’s demand for a referendum on the capital.

At the same time, it carried an anchor story on how Andhra Pradesh would lose a major national highway and outer-ring road around Amaravati, if the capital is shifted.

On the other hand, Andhra Jyothy carried a banner story on the alleged fake report in the name of IIT-Madras on Amaravati being unfit for capital due to the possibility of 70 per cent inundation of the region if there are floods to Krishna river.

The stay imposed by the Andhra Pradesh high court on the conduct of local body elections in the state on the issue of reservations was another major news that hit the headlines on the front pages of the leading dailies. For Sakshi, it was a banner story and its rivals, too, gave it a lot of importance in coverage.

The appointment of senior Congress leader S Sailajanath as the APCC chief and Telugu boy topping the CA entrance at the national level are the other interesting news that figured in the front pages of the major dailies.
