The trailer of Sundeep Kishan’s Tenali Ramakrishna was released a short while back and it is a fun-filled one.

Sundeep is seen as an upcoming lawyer who is struggling to get things going. Related proceedings are narrated in a funny manner.

However, things take a steep turn when the male lead is forced to confront a dreaded who goon who later poses a big challenge to him.

The chemistry between Sundeep and Hansika is promising to be a good one as well. Major focus is set on comedy and the trailer proves just that.

Tenali Ramakrishna was directed by G Nageswara Reddy and it is slated to hit the big screens on November 15th. The pre-release event is currently taking place in Kurnool.

Maoist frontal groups behind Hyderabad violence

Share

Hyderabad: Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar claimed that frontal organisations of Maoists were involved in Saturday’s violence during the protest march by striking employees of the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) here.

He said that RTC unions, some frontal organisations of Maoists and other parties were involved in stone pelting incidents at 7-8 places, causing injuries to senior police officials including an Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police and two Assistant Commissioners of Police.

He said though the police had refused permission for the march, activists of RTC unions, New Democracy cadres and others in large numbers tried to enter Tank Bund. “Police tried to stop them but they pelted stones and as a result several police officers were injured,” he said.

The police chief said the police baton-charged to disperse the violent mob and prevent further violence. He said the police would register cases against those involved in the violence and take firm action.

Meanwhile, the Joint Action Committee (JAC) of the TSRTC, which had called for the march alleged that several protesters including women were injured in the indiscriminate use of force by the police. JAC leaders said some protesters suffered bleeding injuries.

JAC had called for the march as part of the ongoing strike by the TSRTC employees which entered its 36th day on Saturday.

Why Is Mahesh Babu Skipping Galla’s Launch?

Share

Mahesh Babu has remained silent on the debut of his nephew Ashok Galla into films.

He has not even tweeted about the launch of Ashok, nor is he attending the movie launch that is going to take place on Sunday in Hyderabad. Instead, mega power star Ram Charan will grace the event as the chief guest.

Why is Mahesh Babu avoiding Galla’s debut event?

Well, Ashok Galla’s movie was launched earlier with much fanfare but the film was scrapped by producer Dil Raju.

Now, Mahesh Babu’s sister Padmavathi has turned a producer to launch her son Ashok in the direction of Sriram Aditya. In a way, this is the second launch.

But Mahesh Babu refused to attend the launch despite a request from his sister. He turned down her request because he has a sentiment of not attending movie muhurthams.

Mahesh Babu will promote his nephew when his film gets ready for release. Apparently, he made a promise to Galla to that effect.

Ram Charan has readily agreed to grace as Jay Galla requested him personally.

History: What was the Ayodhya dispute all about?

Share

A religious site in Ayodhya had the Babri mosque destroyed in 1992 and ever since then, things went worse between Hindus and Muslims for years. Let’s look at the troubled history of the disputed holy site from nearly 500 years.

In 1528, Mughal emperor BABUR built Babri masjid on the site to which Hindus believe it to the spot of the most revered deities in Hinduism, Lord Ram, was born. But the first religious violence was witnessed in 1853 at the site. And, in 1859, British colonial administration built a fence in order to separate the places of worship, allowing the inner court to be used by Muslims and the outer court by Hindus.

In 1949, Hindus established Lord Ram idols inside mosque and Muslims protest leading to file civil suits by both parties. Later, the government proclaims the premises as a disputed area and LOCKS the gates. Much later in 1984, Hindus form a committee and build a temple in his honour, lead by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad party (VHP). Again in 1986, that is nearly after 37 years, District judge orders the gates of the disputed mosque to be OPENED and allow Hindus to worship there. With the decision, Muslims set up Babri Mosque Action Committee in protest.

In 1989, VHP steps up a campaign, laying the foundations of a Ram temple on land adjacent to the disputed mosque. The very next year in 1990, VHP volunteers damaged the mosque partially and the then Prime Minister Chandra Shekhar tried to pacify the dispute through negotiations, which failed.

On 6th of December, 1992 at 10.30 a.m, enormous havoc has been created within two huge communities in India with at least the death of 2,000 people in the Babri Masjid, a holy place shattering to the ground. This demolition is seen as the Ayodhya Dispute in the historical context, naming it – a BLACK DAY. On the anniversary of the demolition of the mosque, VHP pledged to again build Hindu temple at the site in 2001, leading to tensions.

In 2002, BJP rules out committing itself to the construction of a temple in its election manifesto for Uttar Pradesh assembly elections. VHP confirms the deadline of 15 March to begin construction. At least 58 people are killed in an attack on a train in Godhra which is carrying Hindu activists returning from Ayodhya. And the next month, 2,000 people, mostly Muslims, die in riots in Gujarat.

In April 2002, three High Court judges began hearings on determining who owns the religious site and next year, in 2003, archaeologists commenced a court-ordered survey to find out whether a temple to Lord Ram existed on the site. As per the survey, there is evidence of a temple beneath the mosque, but Muslims dispute the findings.

In 2005, suspected Islamic militants attack the disputed site, using a jeep laden with explosives to blow a hole in the wall of the complex. Security forces kill five people. In 2010, Allahabad HC stated that the site should be divided, with the Muslim community getting control of a third, Hindus another third and the Nirmohi Akhara sect the remainder. Hindus are given the control of the main disputed section, where the mosque was torn down. But, Supreme Court suspends High Court ruling after Hindu and Muslim groups appeal against the 2010 verdict.

Chiru-Lucifer: Meher Ramesh Trying His Luck!

Share

It is almost every Telugu filmmaker’s dream to direct Megastar Chiranjeevi at least once in his career. Directors like Trivikram and Sukumar openly said that, but they themselves are waiting for the mega chance from time to let that happen. And here comes an interesting snippet.

Director Meher Ramesh, who exclusively banks on delivering stylish content but lacked the basic story sense, is said to be trying to reach Megastar Chiranjeevi now. This is for a reason. Though Meher failed as a director in terms of story and screenplay, the stylish look of his films including Billa and Shadow are worth mentioning. He’s banking on the same factor to ask Chiranjeevi for a chance.

As the news is out that Megastar is getting ready to remake “Lucifer” in Telugu, already there is talk that they have asked Sukumar to direct it, but the filmmaker hasn’t obliged. Jumping into this opportunity, Meher is said to be trying his luck if Chiru will give a chance to him.

As the story and scenes are fixed, and Chiranjeevi himself will take care of the dialogue version, surely Meher could chance provided with the fact that he tries to reach his cousins in the right channel. Of course, you might have not remembered, but Meher Ramesh is a relative of Mega family.

Ram Charan Is The Chief Guest For Mahesh’s Nephew

Share

Tomorrow (Nov 10) is going to be the second official launch for Mahesh Babu’s nephew Ashok Galla, who is waiting from a long time to make his debut on the silver screen as a hero. This time, he turned to production himself with his parents, TDP MP Jayadev Galla and Padmavathi Ghattamaneni, taking the onus of his debut flick.

Reports are coming out that none other than Ram Charan will be coming up as a Chief Guest for the event, rather than Mahesh Babu. Currently, Mahesh is in Kerala, where he is shooting for his upcoming flick sSarileru Neekevvaru which is going on at a brisk pace. As the release date is set, Mahesh can’t take leaves now to attend this function, and he is said to have asked his good friend Charan to do the honours.

Though people close to Charan haven’t confirmed this, we are hearing that the mega powerstar is very much obliged to attend the event as he knows Padmavathi and Jay Galla from a long time. Also in recent times Mahesh and Charan have grown to be thick friends, while Namrata and Upasana also become one. Going by these equations, definitely, we could expect his presence there for the launch of Ashok’s debut flick.

Bankrolled by Jayadev Galla and Padmavathi, Ashok’s debut film is directed by Sriram Aditya and features Nidhie Aggerwal as the leading lady.

Talented Composer To Shift Base To Hyderabad

Share

Except for a few creative talents like Mickey J Meyer and Anup Rubens, most of Tollywood’s top music directors actually live out of Hyderabad. While DSP and Thaman come from Chennai, recently entrants like Amit Trivedi and Chirantan Bhatt are from Mumbai. And the one who has got popularised for his melodies, Gopi Sundar, comes all the way from Trivandrum, Kerala.

While Gopi Sundar used to be a busy composer for advertisements, he used to live in Mumbai where most of his work came from. Later, he turned composer for films and did almost 60+ films in Malayalam before making his debut in Tollywood. All this while, he shifted base to native Kerala to work on Mallu movies.

And now, he has almost a dozen Telugu films in the hand including the upcoming World Famous Lover, Choosi Choodanga, #Akhil4, Entha Manchivadav Ra and so on. So what is his next move? Apparently the talented composer is looking forward to a service-apartment right now to set up his temporary studio in Hyderabad.

Later on, he’s planning to move into an independent house near Film Nagar, such that he could do most of the work here itself. Probably after heroines like Raashi Khanna, it is Gopi Sundar who want to settle down in Hyderabad by owning a house. Welcome to Hyd folks!!

Centre removes SPG to Gandhi family; Rahul tweets thank you

Share

The Centre has decided to withdraw the security cover given to senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and his family for 28 years. On this, Rahul has tweeted a ‘thank you’ note for the Special Protection Group (SPG). He wrote a grateful message for their efforts in protecting the Gandhi family all these years.

“A big thank you to all my brothers & sisters in the SPG who worked tirelessly to protect me & my family over the years. Thank you for your dedication, your constant support & for a journey filled with affection & learning. It has been a privilege. All the best for a great future,” Mr Gandhi said.

After brutal assassination of former Prime Miniter Indira Gandhi in 1985, the government has set up SPG to protect the prime ministers. Later former PM Rajiv Gandhi, the father of Rahul Gandhi, has been given SPG and after his assassination, the SPG protection was extended to the entire family in 1991.

Now, the decision of withdrawing was taken after a security review recently, said government sources. However, Congress leader KC Venugopal said “They are playing with the lives of Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi. On what basis did they do this. Modi and Amit Shah are blinded by personal revenge and political vendetta in withdrawing SPG cover from Gandhis”.

The centre had also withdrawn the SPG protection of former PM Manmohan Singh last year and now the SPG, an elite force of 3,000, is tasked with protecting only Prime Minister Narendra Modi. But, a family like Gandhis, who lost two members to brutal assassination while serving India, deserve SPG protection, says Congress. On the other hand, netizens and followers of Rahul Gandhi claim that it is a cheap trick played by Prime Minister Modi in removing SPG to Rahul and his family. Doing so will only bring grave danger for the family, they claimed.

Allu Arjun Bringing Out A Pan-Indian Project

Share

Even before Prabhas scaled to become a pan-Indian star, Chiranjeevi got his Sye Raa released across India, Allu Arjun made his mark by becoming a sought after hero in Kerala and earning a strong fanbase across Mallu lands. But then, he has failed to cash on that craze due to reasons better known to him.

Right now, almost every Telugu hero is looking forward to expanding his presence throughout the country and Allu Arjun is not an exception. Rather picking another film for his pan-Indian debut, we hear that Bunny has chosen Sukumar’s project as the coveted one that could take him to new heights.

As the red-sander-smuggling in Nallamala forests has a universal appeal because that is rampant across the globe and across India in the forest areas, he is now looking forward to releasing the film in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Bengali if possible. Taking Sukku’s dialogue version, we hear that they are getting the dialogues of other languages written. Such that they will be shooting a few close shots with multiple takes, catering each take to each language.

Surely this is going to be a pan-Indian project then, so let us see what magic Allu Arjun and Sukumar will do now. Earlier the duo have rocked with Arya and Arya 2.
