Cabinet Rank Position For Comedian Ali?

Share

From a long time, many are looking forward to seeing what kind of position Andhra Pradesh government led by CM YS Jagan will offer to Comedian Ali, who has ditched all good friends and well-wishers to join YSR Congress right before the elections. Here is another interesting talk.

Though there are reports earlier that Ali will be made Chairman of AP Film Development Corporation, there is no such announcement officially coming up either from the government or from YSRC party folks. Even Ali is said to have reached out to part’s top brass to find out if he’s getting any position or not. However, the party brass is said to have asked him to wait until December to get clarity.

A seniormost and influential YSRC leader who is very close to Jagan is said to have assured Ali that the comedian will be getting a cabinet rank position in the YSRC government of Andhra Pradesh. Of course, Ali has openly declared earlier that he will join that party that will offer him a powerful post. Looks like his dream is going to come true very soon.

But those who know Jagan inside out are commenting that there will be no such post given to Ali, considering the fact that he has neither bureaucratic and administration experience nor he is a public leader.

PM Modi, the master of political surprise and timing

Share

Prime Minister Narendra Modi by far is the master of political surprise and timing and when under siege is able to manoeuvre the situation to his own advantage.

Modi has often said he likes to convert challenges and problems into opportunities.

While it was well known that the Supreme Court judgement on Ayodhya would come before the retirement of the Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi on November 17, the timing has caught people by surprise.

Most of the speculation was around November 13-15 but the judgement came on a day when the other important development was the inauguration of Kartarpur corridor. The narrative built around the judgement suits the PM though he could not have anything to do with its advancement.

It is the PM’s innate sense of timing that keeps him ahead of the eight ball. The apex court will deliver three more crucial judgements next week — if CJI should come under RTI, Rafale deal and Sabarimala — as CJI Ranjana Gogoi retires on November 17.

PM Modi’s comment at the Union Cabinet meeting earlier this week on Wednesday asking Ministers not to make any irresponsible statements on the Supreme Court verdict was an important development.

Be it favourable timing or providence, the Supreme Court judgement giving sanction to a Ram temple in Ayodhya has pushed back all talk of a debacle and ally trouble in Maharashtra and Moody’s downgrade of India’s sovereign ratings.

This is not a one-time coincidence.

PM Modi’s style is to sway popular sentiment to the narrative he wants by unfolding a big-ticket announcement.

Before the testy Uttar Pradesh elections in early 2017, demonetization was announced on November 8, 2016 which critics say was done to weaken political opponents financially while also changing the discourse on a meandering economy and positioning Modi as a warrior against corruption and black money and a chaiwala fighting an entrenched elite class.

On the back foot after the “suit boot ki sarkar” jibes, PM Modi’s economic policy has become increasingly welfarist and oriented towards the poor. The government has since then shunned anything that may be seen to be helping corporates and gone the other way with enforcement actions on NPAs, bankruptcy code for companies and zero tolerance against corruption.

In the run-up to the general election 2019, the narrative was leaning towards unemployment and the economic pain of demonetization via struggling businesses, the troubles in the informal sector and farm distress which would point a finger at the government.

However, things changed after the ambush against the CRPF jawans in Pulwama and the cross-border strikes on terror camps in Balakot in Pakistan which turned the debate into one dominated by nationalist issues.

In the early days of his second term, Prime Minister Narendra Modi seems to be in a tearing hurry. He is quickly ticking all the boxes on the main government priorities, abrogation of Article 370 in J&K, being one such item.

Sukumar’s Original Rangamma Atta Is This Heroine

Share

One of the strong characters that have its roots pinned to the storyline of the film “Ragasthalama” is none other than the Rangamma Atta character played by anchor Anasuya. For flaunting the right amount of glamour to enacting a crucial sequence with ease, she got all the things right.

While the character has huge potential to give elevation to any actress who is playing it, actually Sukumar’s first choice has rejected him. None other than veteran heroine Raasi is the choice of the director to play that role. However, when Sukumar narrated the character design and look to her, Raasi is said to have felt awkward to wear the saree high above knees to do that character.

Worried with the glamour factor around it, Raasi has given up the role and that led Sukumar to approach other senior heroines who have all rejected it. Finally, it landed in the lap of Anasuya and she did the right thing in accepting it, as the character fetched her fame and name.

That’s why they say, in film industry fate always plays a major role.

Naidu Stands For Modi’s Economy Goal

Share

The after-effect of election result has been very severe on Telugu Desam, as the party is slowly losing its leaders and is struggling to keep its flock together. So, the party chief seems to be carving out a fresh strategy by sending fresh round of signals to Bharatiya Janata Party through his statements.

TDP supreme had recently confessed that breaking partnership with BJP was the biggest blunder and according to the party leaders, fighting against BJP at the centre has confined them to 23 seats in Andhra Pradesh.

Naidu, who projected himself as a staunch opponent of BJP and Modi, has expressed his complete support to Prime Minister’s goal, to make India a 5 trillion-dollar economy. Stating that it’s possible for India to achieve 5-trillion economy, the TDP supreme said ‘we are also working on a relevant document which we will present to Government of India’.

Later, he took a swipe at Andhra Pradesh government and irregularities in the Jagan’s administration. Babu has attacked the G.O issued by YSRCP to curb the media’s voice with legal cases and he also found fault in converting all the govt schools to English medium. ‘Without prior arrangements and good number of teachers, it is difficult to run English medium schools,’ stated the former CM of Andhra Pradesh.

October 16, 2019, the Apex bench had reserved the judgement after marathon hearing of 40 days.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary Rajendra Kumar Tiwari and DGP Om Prakash Singh are have made full arrangements to maintain law and order. Heavy para-military, special battalion, police and other security personnel have been deployed in large numbers in Ayodhya in order to prevent any untoward incidents. Drone cameras have been hired to thoroughly monitor the situation. Though peace has been descended on Ayodhya as its people are peaceful and ready to accept the Supreme Court’s verdict, the government has taken strict measures as some miscreant groups could rise the tempers and provoke the people. Since sentiment and faith of two communities involved, this is considered as one of the most sensitive cases in Indian history.

What Is Ayodhya Land Dispute?

Simply put, it is about 2.77 acre land dispute between the three parties – Ram Lalla, the Sunni Waqf Board, and the Nirmohi Akhara. The demolition of the disputed Ram Janmbhoomi-Babri Masjid structure on December 6, 1992, sparked a huge communal riots in the country making today’s judgement most important and crucial in Indian political history.

Allahabad High Court Judgement

The Supreme Court verdict is going to be out after 14 appeals have been filed in the Supreme court against the 2010 Allahabad High Court judgment, delivered in four civil suits, that the 2.77-acre land in Ayodhya be partitioned equally among the three parties.

Lower Court

Initially, as many as 5 lawsuits were filed in the lower court. The first one was filed by Gopal Singh Visharad, a devotee of “Ram Lalla”, in 1950 to seek enforcement of the right to worship of Hindus at the disputed site. In the same year, the Paramahansa Ramachandra Das had also filed the lawsuit for continuation of worship and keeping the idols under the central dome of the now-demolished disputed structure. The plea was later withdrawn. Later, the Nirmohi Akahara also moved the trial court in 1959 seeking management and “shebaiti” (devotee) rights over the 2.77 acre disputed land. Then came the lawsuit of the Uttar Pradesh Sunni Central Wakf Board which moved the court in 1961, claiming title right over the disputed property.

The deity, “Ram Lalla Virajman”, through next friend and former Allahabad High Court judge Deoki Nandan Agrawal, and the Janmbhoomi (the birthplace) moved the lawsuit in 1989, seeking title right over the entire disputed property on the key ground that the land itself has the character of the deity and of a “Juristic entity”.

Later, all the lawsuits were transferred to the Allahabad High Court for adjudication after the demolition of the disputed Ram Janmbhoomi-Babri Masjid structure on December 6, 1992. The apex court had on August 6 commenced day-to-day proceedings in the case as the mediation proceedings initiated to find the amicable resolution had failed.

Mediation Failed

It had taken note of the report of the three-member panel, comprising Justice FMI Kallifulla, spiritual guru and founder of the Art of Living foundation Sri Sri Ravishankar and senior advocate and renowned mediator Sriram Panchu, that mediation proceedings, which went on for about four months, did not result in any final settlement and it had to decide the matter pending before it.
