Heroine’s Grandmom Dancing To Item Song
It is a proven fact that sometimes, grandmothers love you more than your own mother. For many, they have been the supporting system and even partner in crime most of the times. Tollywood actresses are no exception. After Adah Sharma, now another heroine’s grandmother proved she still hasn’t outgrown her dancing shoes.
She is none other than dusky siren Pooja Hedge’s grandmother. The actress did an item number ‘Jigelu Rani’ in Ram Charan and Sukumar’s upcoming project Rangasthalam. The song promo was recently released by the makers and been receiving a huge response on social media. And then, we have Pooja’s very own grandma dancing to it.
“My grandmom has been in the hospital for a couple of days now. But as soon as she saw my promo of #JigeluRani it made her so happy she got up and started dancing. It’s like it gave her new energy. This is why I do what I do” said Pooja, talking about the video she shared on Twitter.
Needless to say, Devi Sri Prasad’s music made Pooja’s grandma dance even at 83 years of age. Also, she seems to be quite impressed and happy with her grand daughter’s stylish moves in the song
Rajamouli Going To Pakistan??
SS Rajamouli’s epic war saga, Baahubali 1 and 2 have brought cheer to the Indian box office with its collections and Indians with its legacy. Along with India, the film was screened in many countries and also at various film festivals in Russia, Japan, Berlin and now it is spreading wings to get screened in our neighbouring country.
Latest update is that the film is going all the way to Pakistan International Film Festival, which is going to be held in Pakistan. The director, who is quite excited about the invite, tweeted “Baahubali has given me opportunities to travel to a number of countries… The most exciting of them all is now, Pakistan. Thank you Pakistan international film festival, Karachi for the invite” Earlier, the film got an invite from Tokyo and Berlin International Film Festivals and received huge appreciation from the audience.
After Baahubali 1’s success, its sequel, Baahubali 2 has become the first Indian cinema to collect Rs.1500 crores and has become quite famous on a global platform. The film is soon going to hit the screens in China and recently completed all the formalities. Looks like there is no way stopping for Baahubali around the globe. Definitely, it is a proud moment for every Telugu person.
Produced by Shobu and Prasad, the film features Prabhas, Rana, Anushka, Tamannaah and Ramya Krishna in the lead roles. What is to see here is if Rajamouli will go to Pakistan all the way to cheer the audiences, or it will be just Shobu?
Which Culture, Tradition is To Degrade Parents?
In a befitting counter to Vijay Sai Reddy who claimed that he saluted, touched Modi’s feet as part of Indian culture, tradition, AP CM Chandrababu Naidu shot back at Reddy lamenting him that which culture, tradition was it to degrade his parents who are no more alive.
Earlier, Vijay Sai Reddy had made shocking personal attack on Naidu demeaning his parents who are dead. “Oka Talliki, Tandriki Puttinavadevadu, Chandrababu La Matladadu,” Vijay Sai Reddy had told media outside parliament on Tuesday (Mar 27, 2018).
An emotional Chandrababu has shot back at Vijay Sai Reddy. “Where on the world any one degrade anyone’s parents? Which culture, tradition it comes under? Is this the Indian culture, tradition? How can anyone talk such bad about people who are no more? For anyone, mother and father are equal to God. For me, my parents are more than God. It is horrible to demean my parents who are dead,” Chandrababu was quoted as saying during his interaction with TDP MPs in New Delhi via Teleconference.
Naidu added that his only demand has been is to do fair justice to Andhra Pradesh, but he lamented that the Opposition leaders who united with BJP are targeting him personally.
Senior Heroine’s Bold Statements Gets Backfired
Breaking the silence, a senior actress confronted the nasty rumours of being in an alleged relationship with a star director. Buzz has that she has plans to marry him after he gets officially divorced. And some went on saying that his kids are already calling this heroine as ‘aunty’. Adding fuel to the fire, the actress is handling the business of the director too.
In a recent interview, the actress revealed that she would be happy to stay single rather than getting married and made it clear that she is not a marriage material. Ever since the interview is out, film Nagar folks are saying that she wants to put an end to the rumours about her dating and hence this statement. However, we have to say that It seems her intention got backfired and again she became the hot topic in the industry.
“At a time when the rumours are at rage, these statements act as a paradox and people will believe only the opposite. It is better to avoid such topics” a noted film personality commented. Her bold statement is also giving rise to other unnecessary stuff including that of her old film-industry based boyfriend.
Meanwhile, the actress is said to be enjoying the attention the statement has brought her. Because she became news everywhere right now.
Who is Real Villain in Rangasthalam?
Although the promos, trailers indicate that President Garu (Jagapathi Babu) would be seen as a dapper baddie, here is the inside update that will shock one and all. The real villain in the film is not President Garu as everyone thinks, it is buzzed that Aadhi Pinisetty who plays Kumar Babu, brother of Chitti Babu, is rumoured to be the main villain.
Buzz is that the characterization of Kumar Babu will be positioned initially as very innocent, but the twist towards the end only reveals his true colour, say rumour mongers. It is also heard that even Chitti Babu (Ram Charan) is not aware of this till the end.
However, one has to wait and see the film to know whether this rumour is true or not. Meanwhile, the roles of Chitti Babu, Ramalakshmi are going to be standout. With the film being first out-and-out mass entertainer from Sukumar, all eyes are on the film that’s releasing this Friday.
Sukumar’s Conviction Vs Industry Sentiments
They say films with just 2 hours run will play to the galleries. But 1-Nenokkadine output is just 2 hours 16 minutes and the film bombed. They say a film with 3 hours output will carry the risk, but Arjun Reddy became a blockbuster. At this juncture, we have to talk about Sukumar’s conviction.
Owing to all the expectations and rumours, Sukumar went ahead with 3 hours (1 minute lesser) runtime for his day after tomorrow releasing “Rangasthalam” movie. With Megastar Chiranjeevi monitoring the output, Sukumar wary about how a big flop show could hinder his future, Ram Charan knowing the mass pulse of audiences better, one wonders how come they allowed such length.
Looks like Sukumar’s conviction about the story and the need to narrate it in such long time is what made everyone okay with this 3 hours length. In the olden days, films used to 3 hours in length but with filmmakers failing to hold audiences to seats for such long time, conveyed themselves that 2 hours is the ideal length. But if the film has real narrative potential and impressive content, this length doesn’t matter. Going by Sukumar’s belief, Rangasthalam has to become a big hit to prove that such runtime is not a hindrance for success.
While ‘industry sentiments’ do hold a negative impact basing on the runtime, those who know Sukumar’s work are feeling that he will come up with flying colours all the way. And industry people say, rather trimming the lag parts post release, it’s better to chop them now. But Sukumar feels this story has no lag at all. Wait for 48 hours more to find the truth on this.
Top Khan To Play Controversial Spiritual Leader??
We all know that spiritual leader Osho Rajneesh led one of the most controversial life, which filled with a lot of negativism and many dramatic events. He died in 1990 and still popular among the people, even after two decades. Now, as per the latest reports, a Bollywood actor is soon going to portray his life in a series.
He is none other than Bollywood’s Mr Perfectionist Aamir Khan. Even before kickstarting the prestigious project Mahabharatha, the actor is reportedly approached for this role of Osho. Earlier, there was a rumour that Karan Johar is going to do a film based on this spiritual guy with Ranveer Singh as the lead, but now putting aside those speculations Aamir entered into the scene.
Osho is Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh, who was deported by the department of justice in the United States for tax evasion. Also, he’s in the news back then for running a sex-cult ashram with full of sannyasins. Recently, a Netflix docu-series called Wild Wild Country, which is about his life events has created a sensation over the internet for that rugged portrayal of him. We have to see what made Aamir take up this project as many controversies are going to sparkle if this series comes out.
Meanwhile, if Aamir comes out with such film in BJP regime, will he be able to release the trailer of the film at least?
2 States Remake: Mother Aspect Disappoints
Bad casting plans of Telugu films continue to wonder audiences because never these commercial movie makers are sticking to native actors to get authentic looks. From picking Keerthi Suresh to play a Savitri than choosing any native actor, here comes another such surprising thing.
The novel written by Chetan Bhagat, 2 States, is all about two families, the boy’s family from Gujarat and girl’s family from Tamilnadu coming together for their kids’ love. Now when the film is made into a movie, as it happens to be a Hindi film, the leads are chosen from Bollywood only (Arjun Kapoor and Alia Bhatt) but other characters are picked to suit the native needs. In this film, the character of heroine’s mother is very important as the whole story revolves around her ego in the second half. For that reason, the makers tried to make the character of Tamil Brahmin look original by roping in Revathi Nair to get that south Indian touch.
Cut to Telugu version, we hear that Bhagyasree is seen as the mother of Telugu boy played by Adivi Sesh, while Lissy will be seen as the mother of Bengali girl, which will be essayed by Sivani Rajasekhar. Many feel that a Telugu actress as boy’s mother and a Bengali actress as girl’s mother would have brought more authenticity.
On the other side, many feel that an actor should play any native, any ethnicity, religion and region with ease. So let’s hope these two senior heroines will do their best as mothers in this film.
Previous Hit Hangover Leading To Snow Storm
Praveen Sattaru made his debut in TFI with LBW and has come a long way since then. After the humongous success of his recent release PSV Garuda Vega, Praveen is in high demand. But now, he is going for a risk, by depending on Visual Effects yet again.
We do know that the director has started doing a film with energetic hero Ram Pothineni who is struggling to score a hit these days. As per the reports, the project is completely different from his previous films and will have a snow theme as the background. That means the entire story and film will happen in snow-capped regions and the whole concept of the film revolves around the same.
While part of this film will be shot in real snow-laced locations in Europe, rest of the film will be shot in special sets in Hyderabad. Sources revealed that the budget of the film might increase, because of the crucial visual effects involved to merge the set in Hyderabad as a location into Europe. Some say that Praveen is in Garudavega hangover and hence this move.
When it comes to high budget films, generally the VFX would be mediocre these days and after Baahubali, everyone wants to deliver superior quality. And that costs a bomb. But what is to be seen, how much is worth to invest huge budget on snow storms for Ram, whose market is inconsistent.
RGV-Akhil Film: Here’s The Reality
Eccentric filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma pulled off a major shock on Twitter tonight. In a flood of tweets, RGV, in his usual audacious manner, announced that he is going to direct Akhil in an intense, realistic action film and that Nagarjuna will be producing it.
Naturally, RGV’s tweets sent shockwaves across Akkineni fans. Already, fans are upset with Akhil not scoring a solid hit yet, despite having all the qualities to be a star and giving his best in both the movies. And a film with RGV is the least fans were expecting at this juncture.
But fans may take a deep sigh of relief, as it’s been reliably learnt that the RGV-Akhil film is not happening in reality. If there was ever a film in their combo, either Nag or Akhil too would have made an official announcement in a formal way.
RGV may have posted those tweets only for pure sensationalism and to create some buzz for Officer, his upcoming film with Nagarjuna. We will have to wait and see how the rumors of RGV-Akhil film fizzle out in the coming days. Meanwhile all eyes are on the short film which RGV had directed, featuring Akhil.
